Battery life of my DS4 is right on par with my Wii U gamepad (using extended battery), and that thing's powering a 6" screen.
Granted, I just keep 2 of them so I can swap out as needed, but still. I'll take more battery life, gladly.
My other complaint would be that the rubber on the analogues tears and rips very easily (and I'm very delicate with my controllers), and the backside sticker peels off leaving adhesive residue.

Xenoblade Chronicles X definitely deserves its spot on the list.
Fire Emblem (oh, let's go with Path of Radiance on GameCube- any would do though)
Valkyria Chronicles [PS3/PS4]
The Last Story [Wii] (Sakaguchi's latest console game)
Lost Odyssey [360]
And there you have it.
Honorable mentions to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Dark Souls 3 and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. And Bravely Default was good...
Ya the mod system is pretty cool, and the customization of the mechs.
It's not that good. It's not bad, by any means, but it's not superb or anything.
Idk, I'd give it a 7/10, maybe 7.5 if feeling generous. It's better than Triforce Heroes was, imo.
Ya no.
I like Fire Emblem. I like Pokemon. But that doesn't mean Fire Emblem X Pokemon is a good idea.
Interesting.
Not particularly sure why anyone should care, but... interesting.
I never understood that. This game is better than Uncharted 4 (imo, but even if others disagree even they will admit it's in that same ballpark), yet people were going to skip it out of pride? Because one game skipped PS4? And not even permanently, just 10-11 months. How many PS4 games have skipped other systems?
Fellow PS gamers, please listen to me. This game is phenomenal and I believe good games stand above all the mud slinging and activism. Reward the developer...
2D platformers are alive and well. DKC Tropical Freeze and Rayman Legends are probably the best games in the genre ever made, and I grew up in the 8 and 16 but era so I know the classics.
But the only great 3D platformer left anymore is the 3D Mario games. Ratchet & Clank was ok but, that's a more gun focused, action platformer.
We need this. I need this.
Being in a handheld device.
It may not stand as impressive if it were solely a home console, but having that level of power in a portable device is pretty impressive.
That's assuming the rumors are true and that it truly is a hybrid, but at this point I think that's a pretty safe bet
Ya know, if they didn't issue takedowns for high-profile releases then that would send a signal that anyone can do anything they like with their IP. I will never argue against a company protecting its IP.
The issue, to me, is in whether they choose to allow the fan project to finish to completion before issuing the takedown, or if they stop it in its tracks.
By allowing the project to finish before issuing a takedown notice, fans win because the proj...
Iwata was all about go big or go home. We saw that success with DS, we saw it with Wii, and now we see it with Pokemon GO.
Sure, sometimes you get a Wii U, it's not all big wins... but as long as the console at least has great games, I can roll with it.
Wow. That's amazing! Ok, now I want a Hololens.
So I guess only people with your political leanings are allowed in the thread huh?
Seems that whole tolerance thing people preach is a one-way street. "Be tolerant to my views but I'll ravage you to pieces for yours"
I see how this works.
It's not their job to artificially present 'diversity' in games.
Diversity should be proportionate to reality. If 1/10 Americans are a certain demographic, don't go making the game with 50%
Or if 1% of people fall into a demographic, don't throw in some token character just to give them representation.
Gosh dang I'd watch the news if I wanted to be exposed to this crap.
Of course they are. Most games I play are single player. Only online I do is Monster Hunter, and a spell of Splatoon when that released. Brother keeps nagging me to play Uncharted 4 mp, but I'd rather finish the single player. That's where it's at.
I enjoyed the Wii. So many classics last gen like Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario Galaxy 2, Xenoblade and Sin & Punishment 2.
Not my favorite console, but a good one nonetheless.
Wii U has had fewer games, but MUCH higher in quality. I think at least 5 Wii U games rank in my favorite of all time list now. Pikmin 3, DKC Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade X, Splatoon, Bayonetta 2...
Don't get me started on 3DS. Best handheld ever made- SUCH ...
$175 for a New 3DS XL???
Shoot, now's the time people. Especially with Monster Hunter Generations having just dropped and Dragon Quest VII and VIII around the corner.
Probably Beyond Good & Evil 2.
If there's anything else, it's anyone's guess.
Metroid Prime is still the greatest game I've ever played. And I've owned a
NES
SNES
Genesis
N64
GameCube
PS2
Wii
PS3
Wii U
PS4
Xbox One
GameBoy
GameBoy Color
Game Gear
GameBoy Advance
DS
PSP
3DS
Vita
And ya, Metroid Prime safely sits at the top of that list.
Hmm, you're right. Never noticed that before. I'm not buying it anyways but I still think that doesn't matter so much if it's tucked away in your entertainment stand.
