Who cares if they profited or lost money?
Just play games! If the system has a great library with games that appeal to you then buy it and enjoy it. If the system doesn't have a great library and the games aren't that great then skip it.
But who the heck cares about all this other stuff?

The Wii U is a perfectly fine console- there's no gimmicks to playing it. You want a normal controller, you can play with one. Even the gamepad itself is an actual normal controller. Just because it has a screen on it doesn't mean the analogues work any less well.

I heard Phantasy Star 3 sucked but PS2 and PS4 were great. So I started playing PS4, since the second is really tough I guess.
Also, the whole shady business practices from Nintendo is probably referring to making publishers sign agreements they couldn't release on other systems.

I'm a day one Vita owner myself. Do I regret the purchase? Absolutely not. But where does it place in relation to playtime on my PS4, Wii U, 3DS and X1? Dead last.

Hmm, agree and disagree.
Some AAA have proven their worth like Dark Souls 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Valkyria Chronicles, and pretty much every major Nintendo game has solid gameplay.
Games like Uncharted 4- I'm conflicted about because I love the game (loved The Last of Us more though- WAY more), yet the gameplay is average. Witcher 3, the controls are loose. But I love the game.

Because people don't just want to play MS games, they want to play MS games ON A CONSOLE.
The only people that may apply to is PC gamers. But console gamers don't care what's on PC. Even if the consoles get revisions often, people will still choose that over the full spread of upgrading a PC, messing with all the settings, etc.
The non-PC gaming console market is pretty big.
Idk. I don't think it makes sense. PLAYSTATION and XBOX are the brands people are loyal to now. They're not gonna buy a Nintendo console to play those games no matter what happens. And neither am I.
