yea, bought the original Xbox when it launched and the Xbox 360 way back in 2005 when it launched. I tend to prefer the Microsoft consoles, especially for my online gaming needs, but as I said earlier it needs to be priced right or I will just wait. I bought a Wii U at launch because it fit my price criteria.
Who knows if there will be another L4D? I don't, but I would wager a years salary that Microsoft keeps Gears exclusive, that is their second biggest franchise and I...
Hopefully they use it as a map, storage and maybe for some puzzles or something. They don't need to force anything with it, just keep it fun and natural.
Sony created a console that was tough to develop for, thus they didn't get proper versions of third party games. The PS4 looks to me much easier to program and develop for, they are already saying how easy it is. Making the PS3 hard to work with was a mistake, Sony looks to have corrected it with the PS4-"Our bad".
Sony launched the PS3 at a crazy $599 price point, and while we don't know the price of the PS4, I think we are all assuming they wont make the s...
Well I want to see the console, get a price and release date before I make any decisions. This is kind of a dumb question considering the next Xbox hasn't been confirmed and we don't know a single fact about it.
I have bought every Microsoft console at launch however, and most of my favorite franchises are on that particular branded console. That being said, if the price is $500 or more I'll be happy to stick with my current consoles and my Wii U until the prices...
I've tried a dozen or so times, I'm not a great gamer, just average... It's tough for me.
Shots fired!
Good game, waiting for the difficulty patch before finishing though.
I am intrigued by the PS4, one thing I got from their "unveiling" was that they were basically saying "Our bad" about the PS3. I mean even though this is N4G, when it comes to the PS3 we all know the price was too high, the hardware was too hard to develop for, and it cost Sony a lot of market-share that they earned in the previous two generations.
Glad that they seem to be going about the PS4 in a different manner.
Just tried to go on PSN and I get an error...hmmmmm
I think VG Chartz is off, like always. I have read from several places that the Wii U is over 3 million sold, which is on par or a tad better than the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Wii U needs compelling software and possibly a price drop, thinking Nintendo uses great AAA first party titles and that price drop to combat the next Xbox and PlayStation launches respectively. Nintendo could also benefit from a shortage from those other two systems.
It is real, we just might not get the chance to play it because of the new Disney buyout. Hopefully we get it, wonder if that was going to be a Summer XBLA title in their usual promotion? Gameplay looked sick.
Ya, Eyetoy looks a lot like PC camera's that were around int he mid and late 90's.
waste of time.... they always hype stuff and let everyone down.
I actually like the idea, when I saw Skylanders I immediately thought how cool it would be with Pokemon.
I think things will be very interesting next generation, especially if MS continues its death grip on North America.
Heard it was around 80k, but it's still bad, but not as bad as it could be considering there has been ZERO software to support the console.
You are exactly right, anyone going around saying the Nintendo Wii U is about to be the next Dreamcast really needs to hold their tongue, I suspect the PS4 and Xbox 720 to sell decently at the start, but it'd be foolish to think the current PS3 and 360 wouldn't outsell those at least for a little while.
The PS3 and 360 will both probably get a price cut, and even if the PS4 and 720 launch at $400, a $149 Xbox or $199 PS3 will be attractive to a lot of people.
Panic? Heck no! The Dreamcast managed to last 3+ years and that didn't have consumer confidence or the first party games that Nintendo sports.
I think the Wii U needs games in a big, big way. I own one and I'll be the first to admit that I haven't played it in over a month, Lego City Undercover is about to change that however. The terrible part is that Wii U owners aren't getting third party games like Tomb Raider and Bioshock, it seems to me that those games...
I've been buying more and more games online, I bought Gears Judgment from the Microsoft Store because they threw in a free 1600 point card, which is the exact amount of the Gears Judgment Season Pass.
Newegg had the game for $39.99, a lot of online places offer great deals, that combined with a console generation that just wont end, leads to loss YOY, which isn't surprising, you cant always gain, eventually you top out.
They will reveal something on the console in April. They have NEVER waited until E3 to show off one of their consoles, I don't think they would have enough time to show off what they need to at a single E3 show that spans an hour and a half.
Not saying they should spill everything at a pre-E3 showing, but they can give us specs, features, the console itself and maybe a new game or two.
Save the rest for E3, along with demo's and a price point/releas...
