Microsoft already denied this rumor though, and usually they don't bother to talk on rumor and speculation. The fact that they came out and said they weren't doing it, says a lot.

Microsoft didn't let Bungie go, Bungie wanted to move on and Microsoft wanted them to continue with Halo games since that is the Xbox' flagship series.

Even though Microsoft doesn't own the Gears Of War IP, they did publish all of them, fund development and pay for the advertising. Some people believe so many people left Epic because Microsoft got another deal for more Gears games next gen and people like Cliffy B didn't want to be locked in to making strictly...

Thank god, I understand a lot of you youngsters enjoy the higher difficulty, but as someone who's been gaming since 1988, I have to say I simply don't have the time or skill to sink into replaying something 20+ times.

Liked the game, but stuck on this part since launch.

Putting a game on PC doesn't make it any less of a console exclusive, considering they need to be played on a MS OS and published by them as well.

You aren't forced to buy the next generation of consoles, and the current consoles will be supported through 2015, so you have plenty of time to decide or wait for price cuts or a good library of games.

I was excited for this Gears until Microsoft did the big reveal and showed off some of what the game had to offer a couple of weeks ago. Now that they added Domination and are offering so much in one package I'm really excited.

Glad to see it get solid scores. I'm sure it'll get average and sub par scores as well, mostly depends on who reviews it. Some people probably are feeling franchise fatigue when they go into a review like this.

There were Micro-transactions in Gears 3 as well, the thing is, you don't need them at all. If you have some MS Points to spend and want a certain skin, you can get it. This is just going to be the future, might as well embrace it, or at the least, don't complain about it.

Not sure why it would matter to you? You don't own a 360, have never played Gears and you just want to troll.

3 out of 4 of your last comments have been marked for trolling, yet you still remain. Glad I could report you once again and hopefully you'll have to use one of your other troll accounts for a while.

Do some people not understand that not everyone likes playing games on a PC? I seriously cannot stand to sit and use a keyboard and mouse and sit in a chair looking at a 20 inch monitor, granted I know that I can hook up a regular television but you know what I mean.

I have been gaming on consoles since 1988 and I don't plan to stop anytime soon. I spent a ton of time building Achievements and Trophies and gathering friends and teammates online and I'm not going to s...

There have been no real leaks, other than the official documents last year which Microsoft had taken down. Those listed it as the Xbox 720.

I think the fanboys just want a smidgen more power so they can thump their chest a bit, personally it didn't matter this gen, last gen or the gen before. People are weird that way.

It can be annoying and it definitely seems to get worse, when I was younger it was Sega Genesis vs Super Nintendo, but nothing got out of hand like it does now days. The thing that bugs me the most is the way people go on and on about sales or power, like those two things make you enjoy your console more? I just don't get it.

Luckily I've pretty much always bought all the consoles available so that there are no games exclusive from me. This probably isn't practic...

Uhh, I can afford Battlefield games, I choose not to buy them. Battlefield 3 was really bad in my opinion, I think they tried to make the game more like COD, and 30fps just doesn't work well for a fast paced FPS.

Haven't we heard this before ? I mean when Battlefield 3 went up against Modern Warfare 3 I think we pretty much heard the same thing, then that game sold over 20+ million and broke all kinds of records.

The thing is that it's not just the same people buying COD games over and over again, new people buy them every year because it's the "cool thing" to play. Even if sales have hit their peak, COD isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

Loved this game much more than I expected, serious GOTY contender in my opinion.

My bad, I was going off the Wikipedia page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

"Rumors suggest that the original design called for a single central processor, but upon hearing of the PlayStation's capabilities, a second processor was added late in development to increase potential performance".

I knew the Saturn was a 2D beast though, still have mine.

Exactly, this was actually a problem when the PS3 came out, a lot of people were buying PS2 games and playing it on their PS3's, for a while I was playing Star Wars Battlefront 2 on my PS3 before any significant games came out that I wanted.

I think backwards compatibility is pretty important, I was glad when Nintendo added that to the Wii U, it means you can play hundreds of great Wii games on the Wii U if you haven't already done so.

People who say "Just keep your old console" aren't being realistic, I own a PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, Wii, Dreamcast and a ton of other consoles, I don't (and cant) hook up 10 consoles at once, and while the older ones are fun to break out from time to time, I ow...

There is such a thing as a peak when it comes to a product, you simply cannot keep forward momentum forever. The current batch of consoles (save the Wii U) hit their peak's a couple of years ago.

There is a term called "saturation" in which the majority of gamer's who want a particular console already own one. What you see now is the product of families or casuals finally getting in on the current batch, or people who already own one or two are buying the t...

It will be, the PS3 is...yet somehow people here complain that Microsoft tries to do the same thing. Hopefully everyone can get something they like from the next generation of consoles. Entertainment and gaming are fairly close in terms of bringing something fun for consumers to do.

If they were planning on releasing the Xbox 720 in the Summer time they would have announced it last year. You simply don't rush a console launch to get a few month lead, you build hype, anticipation and go from there. I believe that Microsoft is fully confident that they own North America and that alone will keep them damn near even with every other console.

The last company to rush a console was Sega and the Saturn, they released it the same day at E3 to the surprise of...
