Could be two teams working on current gen versions and two teams working on the next gen offerings. No way does Activision miss out on the new console launches. Which means they'll need versions for Wii U, PS4, Xbox 720, Xbox 360, PS3, PC and probably portable versions.

Why would the next Xbox start off with less games? Microsoft has increased the number of studios they have, Black Tusk is crafting 4 new "core" IP's for the next Xbox alone.
I don't think if Microsoft is presenting other options for the next Xbox it means they will have less games, it's just more value. Microsoft has a ton of money yes? So why does it have to be one or the other?

You are 100% right, the Xbox 720 and PS4 will have 90% to 95% of the same exact games! Exclusives make up the other part, but when compared to third party games is a pretty small number.
As long as they don't stop making games, stop third parties from making games for the console, who cares?

Game console with a lot of other features, sort of how Nintendo called it the Nintendo Entertainment System instead of anything to do with video games, but obviously the initial buyers of a console are the core gamer's.
Finally someone that understands! It'd be different if every single "leak" were the same, but we've heard so many different supposed "leaks", so I tend to doubt them. It's easy enough to jump on the "always on" bandwagon now and get hits, but unknown sources just don't cut it with me.
Considering Microsoft hasn't even admitted the existence of the next Xbox, I think I'll wait for them to announce the thing before jumping ...
They never marketed the first one, I remember picking it up in 2010 and loving the game, but I didn't know another person with the game on the 360.

Actually the media is desperately trying to force Microsoft into divulging any information on their next console, so much so that they are no inventing rumors in order to get a response.
The funny thing is, we've heard everything from the next Xbox wont have any optical drive, it will, it'll have Blu Ray, it wont have Blu Ray, it'll block used games, it wont block'em, it's always online, it's not.

Have you ever thought that that is the reason these rumors are going around in the first place? It's a tactic to try and force Microsoft's hand and tip what they actually do have.
Last year we heard almost the same rumors about the next PlayStation, so if I were Microsoft I'd stick to the plan, let people talk, there is no bad publicity.

Well we haven't heard Microsoft actually say anything, but we know Sony will have a similar camera, always on and doing downloads/updates, a low power mode and they brought out the Move at their showcase and even showed off new social features and a "share" button on their controller.
