Well they created a fan base using the Unreal Engine, not only are the two top guys at Bioware not there anymore, but the quality of the games have gone done since EA bought them out.
This seems more like something forced on Bioware, as opposed to their own decision.
That is a great accomplishment this late in the consoles life. I was one of those who bought it at a midnight launch, and I couldn't be happier about the end product. The quality is better than ever and 343i has really made a statement for their first ever game release.
If you check the math, its slightly over 3.5 million copies sold in 24 hours, that is huge!
This is why I say that while I love new games and IP's from time to time, Halo games are w...
I'll say it this way, if you bought a 3DS because a Mario game was on it, wouldn't you want as much Mario as possible? I sure would. Same for Halo on Microsoft platforms and God Of War on Sony platforms. Anytime you can get a quality game, you take it.
It isn't like it didn't surpass all of them in sales worldwide though, I suspect Halo 4 will have legs throughout the rest of the year and into next year. I was actually surprised it outdid all the other Halo games like it did, mostly because BO2 and AC3 launched around the same time.
No, it comes with the standard headset that plugs right into your wireless controller, so its not really bad at all. Because everyone pretty much uses the same headset, or better ones like Turtle Beach or Triton's, the voice chat quality is really good over XBL.
That isn't bad really, seems like developers are going all out for these last games of the current generation.
E.A really has a tight grip on their developers, everything they own is starting to use that engine because they don't have to pay licensing fees to Epic Games.
I've enjoyed the series greatly, but I wonder how this will affect the game?
Reviews are opinion, its as simple as that. I've noticed a lot of big AAA titles that everyone expects to get good scores, usually get good scores. I never really let a review decide if I'm going to buy a game, I do use reviews to see if there might be an issue or two that I'll have to deal with.
If you want really honest reviews, you have to look to the independent ones that do it for free and with no incentives but the love of gaming.
If anyone ...
Well at least people wont complain about free DLC, I'm digging Spartan Ops so far, its something added to do with friends, which is always a good thing.
Its a disappointment because I use Achievements as incentive to play through a game multiple times. Achievement hunting has also led me to some really good games that I wouldn't have otherwise played.
The PS3 didn't launch with Trophies, so I'm hopeful that enough fans will come out in support of some sort of system and Nintendo will listen. It wouldn't be hard for third party developers to add them, since they already have them for PS3/360 games.
Absolutely addicted to Infinity Slayer! Its so fast paced and fun that I've sunk over 24 hours into it already! Great score and a nice review.
Anyone else tired of the guessing game and all this cryptic so called "news"? I am really interested in an official announcement with stone solid specs and features, everything else is just rumor in my opinion.
Well it makes a lot more sense for Microsoft to release next year, they amped up security and have had their main developers working on next gen titles for the past few years.
I just don't think they sit another year, not with such a decline year over year. They will definitely still support the Xbox 360, but the next Xbox is going to come out in 2013, otherwise Gears Judgment would be their holiday release.
I think it'll be limited numbers, but eve...
@Godmars290
Xbox 360 320 gig HDD for $65.
http://dx.com/p/genuine-xbo...
As I said, the normal 250 gig Xbox 360/Kinect bundle is $299, if you get this deal, you could end up with more HDD space and for about half the price. I'm not sure why I got so many disagrees. This is a Black Friday sale, and Microsoft sold ar...
Really I just want the ability to play games at 1080p 60fps. I also want true backwards compatibility, I didn't spend all the money on the games I bought this generation so that I couldn't still play them on the next system. I cant have 10 consoles hooked up to my TV.
Most of the things on this list I don't really care about, Points are annoying sometimes, but its not a deal breaker. Ads don't bother me at all, its not like I'm staring at them or that the...
Double post....ughhhh
I replay a ton of old games, I usually do a retro game night and have friends come over and we all play the games we played growing up. I've made it a bit of a point to build up my physical game collection because I wont be moving with the industry if/when it ever goes all digital.
I'll always have my physical copies, to me it seems like you never really own digital games, they have licenses that can expire and you pay for something that you really don't own.
That is impressive, I saw 550k on last night, and that is just tracking people who are actually in games, not ones in the lobby.
This isn't the subsidized Xbox 360 deal, this is a Xbox 360 and Kinect for $99, which is just insane!
You could always get a 320 gig HDD off Amazon for like $47 or go to Deal Extreme and get one for $60. Either way, you are spending less than $200 for a 320 gig Xbox 360/Kinect.
If there are more deals like this, Microsoft will have a really great Black Friday.
Nice review, I knew it'd be pretty good. I went to the midnight launch and I'm liking the campaign so far. Treyarch has obviously become the best COD developer and they took quite a few risks with the game. I'd say this is the riskiest COD since COD4 and it looks and plays great so far.
