Lol you just compared Crash to Banjo and Naughty Dog to Rare (also that Banjo reboot was on Xbox, when the old games were on Nintendo systems; this would be the return of a PlayStation franchise to PlayStation fans). While you are wrong in the sense that a PS exclusive Crash game from a competent studio would actually be very successful (see this year's ratchet and clank), I agree that ND should focus on other things.
They shouldn't do a platformer at all, but if they do it should be Crash. Jak is ND's weakest series (even though it is still good), as it never lived up to Crash and felt like a replacement after Sony lost the Crash license.
Seriously. We will only get a limited number of games from them, and I want to see them do Last of Us 2 or a new IP. Have 4-5 people from ND work with someone like Sanzaru or Ready at Dawn (Yes Order wasn't good, but they have done well with other devs' IPs) on Crash, but ND shouldn't spend their resources on this.
Most people get their phones heavily subsized by their carriers. That is a very poor comparison.
They should back away from this like MS backed away from DRM and always online.
That comparison would work if the old Nissan you bought before started getting banned from certain roads because it wasn't new enough. Or if you had to drive in a slower lane with potholes and pay higher tolls all the time because you owned the older model.
Right. Which would make it almost as much more powerful than the PS4, meaning 40+ million people will get gimped versions of games (including potential disadvantages in multiplayer, which no Neo fans will acknowledge). MS can say "When you buy our console, you can expect that we won't pull the rug out from under you a year or two later." Combine that with a price drop and the fact that no one will want to buy a regular ps4 between the announcement of Neo and it's release, an...
I think the Xbox upgrade rumors haven't been as specific or had as many sources, so they haven't generated as much interest. Also, not nearly as many people have Xboxs anyway, so it wouldn't affect as many people.
I think this gives MS a golden opportunity to at E3 to slam Sony the way Sony slammed them in 2013. Let Sony announce Neo, and then come out and say a bunch of stuff about how all Xbox players will get the same experience, no one will have the advantag...
Why are you bringing reason and relevant comparisons into this discussion instead of just assuming it will be fine and all games will run well on both versions?
But you can upgrade your PC's GPU without replacing the entire thing. Or, you can change the graphics settings (AA, FOV, etc) to help boost the frame rate if that is important to you. When a game comes out that runs great on Neo but is a broken, stuttering mess on the original PS4, how much different is that then the original not getting it at all?
All these people saying it's just a small upgrade that won't matter will change their tune the first time a big AAA game comes out that runs at 60fps on the Neo but can't hold 30 on the original PS4. They also won't like it when games (like possibly Horizon) get delayed on PlayStation because the devs have to optimize two versions.
You could argue they've already done that by delaying it again and again. It was finished almost a month ago, it was supposed to launch yesterday, but they delayed it by another two weeks anyway.
It's like they want this game to flop.
It's ironic because ItsJustEmman doesn't want "more IGNs" but he/she is more than happy to be informed by the work of these sites.
I love how a game can be "stale" when nothing truly comparable exists yet. And Star Citizen isn't out, so that doesn't count.
They FINALLY nerfed the homing shot. Though they also should have reduced its damage, this significantly improves the game.
I wish Dying Light was in this sale. It seems like it would have been a good idea to include, since the new expansion is coming out.
Agreed. Annualization is already too much. Fix the controls, then give me one every 2.5-3 years.
This is going to be sweet. Dishonored was one of the best new IPs of last gen. Can't wait to play as Emily.
I was under the impression that with all the shakeup that happened during 2014-2015ish (Amy Henning and all those people leaving), they had moved away from the two team structure. Hopefully I am wrong though and they already have a team knee deep in a new IP or Last of Us 2.
