I really like both, but I have fewer than 15 hours in each so I don't feel like I can make a conclusory comparison right now. I really did appreciate that BOTW let me start playing about 5 minutes in, whereas HZD had the hour-long tutorial section. I do wish BOTW would have adjusted it's control scheme a bit more to match most modern games-I'm not a fan of sprint being a face button.
Lol this is getting out of hand. Just because someone has a different opinion than you does not mean they are "triggered." People had been disagreeing for thousands of years, but that concept was just invented.
I'd prefer they launch VC soon with Melee, but I guess that is unlikely.
Yeah, achievements are better because you get recognized for actually getting all the achievements in one game, whereas with trophies it's the same if you get all the trophies in a single game as it is to get 50% in two separate games.
Don't cheap out and buy the 7.99 PDP one! It is garbage.
Lol think about how many people have actually used a vita. Most people are comparing it to phone or tablet screens, since they've actually used those devices. Not everything is a comparison to PlayStation.
That being said, I don't see the issue as long as you get a screen protector to stop scratches.

The Vita has been out for over five years. Plus most people don't have them and have never used them.
Glad to see this success. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised; Switch appealed to me enough to buy at launch, and I wouldn't touch a Wii/Wii U with a ten foot pole. Hopefully this isn't just a big launch before a major drop off.
I just hope we get some big third party launches between the big Nintendo releases to help sustain momentum, even if that means some ports.
Pacman is one of the classic games of all time. I don't see how that's an insult.

Let's just hope we get more good open world games like that on Switch. In a lot of good ways Switch reminds me of Vita, but I hope it gets a better stream of high-end titles rather than just Indies.
I'd love to see Rockstar bring over some of their PS2 games in a collection to the Switch (I mean I'd love to see them make new games for switch, but that seems unrealistic).
While I'll agree with you that Nintendo has been irrelevant for awhile in the home console space, the same cannot be said for the portable market. The 3ds won't match the DS, but it is has managed to sell a very respectable number of units even in the smartphone era. Switch looks to be more of a portable than a home console, so I think that has to be considered.
No thanks, for about 7-8 years I played that genre like crazy, often to the point of missing out on other things. I prefer a more balanced approach now.
Would love to hear what contemporaries of R3 you think are so much better. And no, I don't think it is better than Half-life 2, so no need to mention that.
Well said. I feel like 2 was probably the result of meddling suits at Sony who wanted to chase the feel of other contemporary FPS games rather than do their own thing. Pity, given that Fall of Man is one of the best launch games of all time, and 3 was just excellent.
As linear, single-player shooters go, it doesn't get much better than Resistance 3. Unfortunately, it seems like too many people got burned by the mediocrity of 2 (cool co-op mode aside) that 3 didn't sell like it deserved.
I hope the patch changes it from "NIN64" to "N64."
It just won't sell. People always say "more systems is better, blah, blah, blah" but it doesn't play out when a franchise's entire legacy is based on one platform (and its predecessors). See for example the terrible sales of MGS collection on 360, FF15 and MGS 5 on Xbox ONE, or Titanfall 2 on PS4.
Just a tip-if you don't like 1, don't give up on the series. 2 and 3 are significantly better than 1 (though hopefully 1 will be tweaked some in the remaster).
Would love to see them remove a lot of the hand holding and overpowered abilities, so it gets back to the greatness that was FC2.
Most of us don't.
This would actually make a lot more sense; there probably aren't many old school PlayStation fans who now play Xbox One, but I'm sure there are some who have switched to PC to play MOBAs, etc.
