I would imagine so if EA are publishing it.
That'll make a lot of people very happy
Combat looks a bit dodgy considering how long it's been in development, but everything else about it looks awesome.
Do the quick time prompts mean they've ditched Kinect integration?
I wonder if Sony are going to mention MGSV?
If they don't it might lend weight to the rumour that MS was paying for non-PS4 announcements from third party devs.
On topic. I'm not sure about this open world idea. MGS has always been a very linear / focused story driven game series - be interesting to see how they manage to handle that in an open world.
That's exactly what went through my mind :)
@RiPPn
Yeah, I completely agree the PS4 appears head and shoulders above the rest. And to be be honest even if it was lower power, and had more restrictive DRM I would still buy one because I much prefer the Sony exclusives to any other platform.
My main issue with MS is their strategy and lack of games, not the DRM.
However, you are still speculating about the PS4's DRM being less convoluted - we really don't know yet. And consider...
@Brutallyhonest
I am likely to also cut back to one console, a PS4, as I don't agree with MS's strategy and the Wii U doesn't have the games I want to play.
However, I think it's a little naive to think that Sony are not going to have a very similar DRM set up to MS in some respects.
Sony have already said that they are leaving it up to publishers to enforce the DRM - which means they have some sort of DRM (even if it's on...
Noooooo, please lets not start with the whole Console exclusive vs exclusive comments! :)
If I can play a game on more than one platform it's not exclusive no matter what.
If people are going to argue about console vs PC hardware, then they need to be consistent and include software too.
@papshango
There's no burden on me to prove anything and I'm not sure what your point was.
The OP stated Steam was the blueprint for the DRM on XBOne - and Trunkz Jr seems to implying that it's OK because Steam do sales and MS don't (although that is just speculation at this point).
So is MS' DRM evil because it requires the console to phone home every 24 hours and stops people trading / renting games - or because MS don...
So DRM is OK if the price is right?
Or...
3. They don't care, as Steve Ballmer has just cut a check for another half billion in marketing money to blind consumers to the problems and dazzle them with timed exclusive DLC.
Of course that was all Phil's fault!
And of course he made nothing but errors when he was one of the top guys overseeing R&D and 3rd party relationships during PS1 era. Or managing countless studios during the PS2 era.
And who can forget how utterly dumb he was to back Media Molecule after seeing a tech demo of LBP. What a fool to champion that little team of no-hopers - where are they now???!
And we all know the story of how he hel...
If MS are adopting the strategy of not only buying timed exclusives, but buying off developers at E3 to give the impression of exclusivity then what little interest in the XBOne I had is gone.
So far all indications are that MS are going with the same strategy for the One as they did for the 360 - and that's not something I can support. Early days of 360 were awesome, everything after the first 2-3 years was tragic.
It's a smart marketing move by MS ...
4 is far too harsh for Dust. It's a decent FPS with a lot of potential. Probably worth a 6 in it's current state.
I played beta and thought it was cool but not really my thing - it reminded me a lot of Halo multiplayer.
Reminds me of the old Saturn / PS1 E3 announcement.
Sega came out swinging at the 1995 E3, thinking they would gain traction by secretly launching the Saturn early at $399.
Sony blew them away by announcing the PS1 would retail at $299.
That particular battle in the console war was ended right there with a single shot.
Controller or Kinect for a racing game?
I'll take my Logitech G27 wheel with WheelStand Pro thanks. Shame the 360 didn't support it.
The only thing a camera adds to a racing game is head tracking, which is kinda OK, but not necessary.
And yet MS will throw money at their marketing department. And your average casual consumer (MS' main target group) will never know the issues you mentioned until too late.
I predict the XBOne will sell at least as many units as the 360.
I picked up Alan Wake and the DLC for a bargain during a humble bundle sale last. WTF is going on with the camera and controls!!?
Do PC developers create a new engine every time we have a new generation of GPU...
I could have sworn we're on Frostbite 3, Unreal Engine 4 etc, and yet we've seen multiple generations of GPU... Hmm, something not stacking up here I think!!
Perhaps it's that people don't know their arse from their elbow when it comes to technical discussions... 'Oh noez, teh ND are gimpzing their gamez On PS4'
No bad thing! Looked cool, but need to see actual game play.
Of course, I could make some poor jibe about the game looking totally different by the time it launches :/
