There could be a lot of factors here.
It is likely due to the processing overhead the development tools add. Such as debugging etc.
The dev kit looks much larger than the final PS4 design, so they may be able to run the higher clock and deal with the greater amount of heat that generates. Sony may be playing it safe as they will be launching in territories where it is seasonally very hot - and that PS4 casing does look small.

If Ubisoft had ONLY showed more sequels at E3 then yeah, I would criticise their approach. But amongst the sequels they showed huge new IP.
What's wrong with that? One brand new IP per year, and a guarantee of sequels sounds good to me.
Ubi blew us away with Watch Dogs, then followed it up by blowing us away with The Division - brand new IP in this risk adverse industry. If both these games turn out ...

I'm on the fence about both games. F1 2012 was OK, but 2013 needs to improve in a lot of ways. GTA IV was a bad game in my opinion, I didn't enjoy it at all. GTA V looks like it's more along the lines of the earlier games, which is excellent news.
Even if this 'dev' is a bogus account this quote sums up the opposite of what MS have done.
"He said: "Engineering practices have taught us there are always trade offs. We lay out all the benefits of different policies and figure out what we have to give up in order to obtain those benefits."
MS never laid out the benefits to consumers. The message they gave was negative, it was apologetic, it made them look like money grubbing weasels...

Piracy is a crime, but is it a lost sale. No. The majority of people I know who pirated stuff back then either never had the money to begin with or never had the intention of buying the game.
I never gave it a second thought when my friends and I got out the tape to tape recorder and made copies of Spectrum games. And used the school photocopier for the instruction books. But now I'm an adult, and I see the world differently.

I found it a little annoying that points had to be bought in blocks, and the pricing of games did not match those blocks (i.e. had to buy 1000points for an 800 point game).
It was a minor thing, it just bugged me a bit.
Insomniac made Spyro in 2000... Activision have taken the IP in a very different direction over the last 13 years.
Maybe Insomniac just don't think Skylanders is a good fit for them now.
Or maybe Activision doesn't want to invest 10million in a AAA Spyro game from Insomniac, when they can get low budget / high margin stuff created by outsourcing.

I'm a huge fan of Sennheiser headsets. They don't have the glitz of other headsets like Turtle Beach or Astro's - but they focus on sound quality and function.
My PC360's coupled with an Asus Xonar DGX sound card are perfect for me at the moment.
The important questions for choosing headsets are:
Do you want on ear, or over ear
Open back or closed design
USB and / or 3.5mm jack
Surround sound or stereo...

Articles can make all the points they want.. All I know is that FFXIII is the only FF game I've played that I didn't finish due to utter boredom and poor game experience.
I'm happy for those who liked it, but no article is going to change my opinion that it was a bad game.
Any non-console gamer, with even a vague interest in management games needs to buy this.
Even in Alpha it is fantastic fun.
I think it'll be more than just voice commands. Because every PS4 comes with a headset, so if voice commands are in for XB1, they could be in for PS4.
That makes me think it's more about gestures. Throwing a grenade. Making a signal that translates to a command in game (like stop, advance, go left, go right, cover me, etc).
Guess we'll have to wait and see. Can't say I'm interested in the functionality - just hoping devs do more non-gi...
PS2 released in 2000... The last game to be released for it will be FIFA 14 in September 2013...

Lets see how long the PS3 goes on for.
For once I would say that consoles are getting the superior version. No real money auction house makes this game much more like a 'true' Diablo game than the crap on the PC. (Although I have put a lot of hours in to the PC version it is not a patch on Diablo 2 or Torchlight 2)

Hobo Hero - Earned by completing the game without owning property, wearing basic clothing, and fighting with only the lowest quality weapons and no magic the whole game.
GG Lionhead - Earned when Lionhead release another AAA game. Means no one will be able to Platinum Fable Anniversary until that happens... which may be a long time!!
Smash that Disc - Earned for playing the majority of the game with low health, and putti...

XB1 - Maybe later
WiiU - No plans at the moment
