Well, the fact the PS4 is only $399 pays for a lot of PSN+ :)
Started slow, but built some momentum with these announcements...Just need to finish with a couple more exclusives and I'd say it was a good E3 for Sony
Well said
Umm, none of them.
Yeah, they need to pick up the tempo
A lot smaller than expected, but only marginally better than the XBOne
Some slightly weak parts of the Ubi presentation, but overall it was very good.
Plus: The Division is game of E3 so far for me.
Minus: No (re)announcement of Beyond Good and Evil 2
I think it was better than expected, and far better than previous years for MS.
However, for me it was the stuff that was missing... No announcements from Rockstar. Nothing from Epic iirc. Nothing from Valve or Blizzard, shows that they are still aligned with Sony and PC. Seemed very tailored to Western gamers - there were no quirky Japanese style games.
After a bit of time to reflect, there wasn't as much to get excited about and it was a lot of smoke a...
So... now we're 'waiting for GamesCon' are we for news?
I thought E3 was going to reveal all???
Considering how quickly the price was announced and then they closed the show they knew they'd get heat. If they were going to do a subscription at launch then they would have announced it. I don't think the subscription model will come until after the early adopters have bought at full price.
The first few moments of the demo, I was thinking 'This looks awesome'... Then the combat started.
Still looks cool, but something I'd likely pick up as a rental... Err, I mean pick up used from eBay. Ah.. I mean if it ever gets released on a budget label. :(
Possibly the best E3 MS has ever put on. Getting all the crap about DRM out of the way beforehand, then completely ignoring it at E3, was a smart move.
Sony will have to pull it out of the bag to top this - especially as they have to focus on Vita as well, and show more support for PS3 than MS did for 360.
However, what MS did show did not blow me away at all. Nothing has changed my stance that I will not be buying an XBox One at launch - but what HAS chang...
Yeah, these things are never as slick in reality. LBP can be a pain sometimes. But for those who persist I think there's going to be some mind blowing community content made for Spark.
I think that's a fair summary.
Although wasn't Halo just 2014?... So could be a Sept release next year.
Didn't blow me away at all, but some nice stuff. Especially Dead Rising 3 and Project Spark.
Yeah, there was an element of 'how do we do a surprise Master Chief reveal - ah just throw a cloak on him'.
Overall that was better than expected in some ways, but still left questions unanswered.
Some good looking stuff, but still appears the focus is on FPS and timed exclusives.
£429.99 was slightly less than I expected (thought it would be £449.99) - but I won't be pre-ordering.
Very intriguing. Will be interesting to see what this game actually is. Lack of game play is annoying.
Love DR1, not that keen on DR2. This looks awesome. Not sure about the smart glass integration - seems a bit arbitrary to me, and would be a faff to put down the controller, pick up phone/tablet just for that.
Nice. Next gen LBP
Interesting... considering how anti-MS Notch has been recently.
And a $399 price point frees up some money for PSN+
