I'll miss you XMB my old chum... The endless scrolling through Trophy lists. The almost impossible task of finding old content to re-download through the account management screen. The nooks and crannies where options were hidden away was harder than finding diamonds in Minecraft.
Actually I won't miss you at all you glorious bastard!
I'm just glad my eyesight isn't good enough to see a massive difference. Maybe I'm getting old, :)
All these arguments about 1080p@60fps are just boring. I get 1080p@60fps in every PC game I play - and it makes no difference to me when I jump to PS3 and see games at 720p@30fps... A fun game is a fun game.
I agree there's a lot of MS apologists here - but I dunno why MS is even brought in to this. Crytek are the ones that are making their game P2Win. What has MS got to do with it? Or is there some conspiracy that MS have forced Crytek to put in microtransactions?
KZ1 SP was awesome. KZ2 SP was mediocre.
But the multiplayer was a really nice change from the usual stuff. I enjoyed it a lot.
I agree, I think the way MS handled PR was awful.
There would have been far less outcry if they had given the messages a positive slant. I liked some of the ideas and concepts MS announced (even though I had no plans to buy an X1) - but they made everything sound negative. Instead of addressing issues head on they were evasive for months before their ill-timed reactionary press event..
I just don't think they were in a position at the time to give posit...
Didn't Sony just announce 33 titles for Day 1 release?
If you're going to play the quantity game that stacks up against the 23 MS have announced.
Personally I'll go for quality, and that sits firmly with Sony to me. Your preference may be different, but the BS about no games on the PS4 is factually wrong.
To each their own.. whilst I loved the overgrown city design (which The Last of Us clearly took inspiration from) I was not a fan of the movie overall.
The CGI creatures were just a bit too CGI'ey, and a lot of what made the book fantastic was completely lost.
I hope you enjoy the rumoured sequel though.
That's it, game over Sony. I'm cancelling my PS4 pre-order, and buying an XB1 on Day 1!
Gotta get me some timed exclusive PvZ2! (as long as you don't count the iOS version I'm already playing).

Seems like a fancy demo to me... Just like DriveClub PSN Edition.
As others have said. An XB1 including FIFA is still more expensive than buying a PS4 and FIFA separately.
Whilst it's not as high profile as FIF, getting DriveClub PS edition is a nice bonus. I'm on the fence with this game, so having an extended demo will be cool. Plus there's the three Indie games bundled in to PS+ I believe one of which , Don't Starve, is awesome.
Not to diminish the fact that anything free is a nice addition; but I would imagine MS could have funded a good few indie projects with the money it cost them to secure this with EA.
Nice to see the MS marketing money hard at work again /s. It's like the 360 all over again... Timed exclusives, timed DLC, advertising that makes it appear multi-plats are exclusives. It was this strategy that turned me off the 360 and makes me seriously think the XB1 will repeat history an...
Actually I put about 25 hours in to Sim City when it released. It had some big annoyances but they could be worked around. I agree that it should not have been released in that state - but I still had a lot of fun and it was a nice, lighter, counterpoint to the more serious Sim City 4 and Cities XL.
Stuff like the traffic issue was something that needed to be worked around and was pretty amusing if you didn't take it seriously. Accepting that RCI no longer linked prope...
I loved The Last of Us and could barely put it down - but lets not kid ourselves here... It's not the greatest game ever. If you personally think it is - then more power to you. You're entitled to your opinion and I respect that.
But really, to me, this was an above average stealth / action cover game in a AAA wrapper. Even the story was clichéd if you've read The Road or I Am Legend. I actually got a bit bored of the lack of enemy variety and other than...
First they need to get Origin working properly. Since the June 3rd update the service has been a pain in the backside when trying to download games.
Can't wait to play Titanfall... once the reviews are in, and I can decide whether it's worth picking up... on my PC.
Nice effort selectively picking titles.
I'd hope most intelligent people would look at the long term view rather than the first 6-12 months - but hey, it's your money.
Another rocket science level quote from MS :)
Didn't you watch the Sony E3 show?
If that wasn't the biggest dig at a competitor since the 'Sega Do What NintenDon't' adverts I dunno what is! :)
(No criticising the approach of Sony - I think for the most part MS are much more divisive in their bad mouthing - but there are no saints in this industry)
Slightly off topic...
Have MS stated how the XB1 will work outside of the US for TV services?
The TV landscape is very different in the UK. US may be their biggest market, but Europe is close behind. I can't see how they will cater to Europe for this 'whole different paradigm' thing.
So far all I've seen is stuff that is very much geared toward the US. Cable for one, but also the links in to sports that are very US-centric....
Great news. Looks like F1 2013 is going to be a nice step up from 2012 and 11.
Not entirely sure how they can call some of the cars 'Classics' - as a couple of the Ferrai's listed were dogs! Shame they are not including the Brabham BT49, or one of the early 90's Benettons. or the revolutionary Tyrrell 019
The MMO genre has got itself in to a vicious cycle...
Every time an MMO game launches with a sub, people expect it to go F2P after a few months... So why bother subscribing in the first place... So sub figures are lower... so it goes F2P or dies earlier..and repeat for next new launch.
