These IP's all seem to have fallen by the wayside, but I'd really like to see a sequel to them...
Blast Corps
Jet Force Gemini
Auto Modellista
Black
Eternal Darkness
Evil Genius
Almost any LucasArts adventure game (Full Throttle, Loom etc)
Aggressive Inline
Jet Set Radio
Dizzy (and many other 8bit Speccy/C64 titles)
It's worth checking it out on the PC if you like FPS games.
Still one of my favourite FPS's, and way better than Crysis in my opinion.
And in other breaking news, Microsoft are working on the next XBox, Sony on the PS4 and the sun will probably rise tomorrow. :)
Can't see this dropping until the DS sales have started to really slow. Still selling like hotcakes.
I hope they make both screens touch sensitive and maybe add multi-touch as well - they already have a patent for multi-touch on the DS so I can see it coming.
Nothing says 'we make a quality product' like a girl in a skimpy outfit and hooker heals.
Long live the booth babe!
In these DRM times I'm not sure you have the right to backup your discs - in fact In these DRM times it's sometimes hard to tell if you really own the disc you paid for!! :(
Anyway, I see your point, but I think we all know that for every legit person wanting to protect their property there will be thousands using back ups for illegal means.
And that somehow makes it OK?
I live in UK, we get price gouged in the name of tax and shipping costs (Rock Band being one example). Salaries are similar in Europe and US. By your logic it'd be fine to steal these games because I pay more than the US, because it's a higher % of my monthly salary?
At what point is it OK to steal? When a game costs 10% of your monthly salary? 11%, 15%?
Would you want your hard work stolen just because someone somewhere ...
Two things are working against the DLC...
First, GTAIV was by far the weakest in the series - just, not, fun - so who cares about some expansion that'll cost $20.
Second, when the DLC launches there will be far too many other games to play.
MS wasted 50million that could have been invested in to a new IP or some indie developers.
Sorry, not specific enough in my post... I meant the top 1% (or whatever) that is transferred between servers will be the top stuff the users vote on in each region.
I can also see region locking as a way of stimulating the communities in various regions to try and out-do each other. I suspect Sony/MM have ideas for cross region competitions and so on.
I don't need PS3/360 graphics horsepower (although it would be nice), but I would like at least 720p support.
Perhaps adding a camera to the Wiimote would be cool. I'm sure Nintendo could come up with some neat uses (face recognition. Eye of Judgement style game with Pokemon. Integrating camera with board games)
Ah, more quality journalism...
"..visuals have took a downgrade..."
My grammar may not be great, but any poorly written article should get an immediate Fail!!
On topic. I prefer the game play footage by a long way. The character model is way better.
This isn't exactly the end of the world...
First off, 99% of user content is probably going to be rubbish - by making it regional there's less rubbish to wade through.
Second, the article states that they can move content between servers. I suspect this will be the 1% of good stuff from each region.
Third, how do we know there isn't some sort of regional copyright/legal reason why content can not be transferred. I can't think what, but there could be a...
His comments are really making me look forward to renting this game, just to see if he really is so delusional! :)
Gotta love these Bruce articles.
Just because the guy worked at some games company back in the day which was run in to the ground by poor management (not piracy as Bruce claims) he's supposed to be relevent!
Every positive he gave to the PS3 came through gritted teeth. Most of his PS3 knowledge seems out of date or plain wrong.
PSN miles behind XBox Live? Come on! PSN full of preadolescent hooligans? Has he ever played Halo 3??? Live and PSN a...
Hold on, this seems like twisting figures to suit his argument...
Quote: Sony has lost more money selling PlayStation 3s than it made selling PlayStation 2s during the entire five years of its peak
So even though the PS2 has been around for 10 years and is still selling very well, they are only using figures from half that time.
I'm sure his figures are right, but they are pretty meaningless.
As SK created Eternal Darkness, I have a lot of respect for them. But parts of that interview smack of dellusion on the part of Denis.
So if people liek the game, that's fine. But if they don't it's because they don't 'get' it. So basically he's saying that people who don't like his game are stupid.
I'll be reserving complete judgement on the game until I play it, but nothing I've seen has suggested this game has some sort of high brow 'message' for the masses...
Another fantastic piece of journalism from BruceonGames /sarcasm!
It's great to see the 360 doing well, but lets be honest. This is probably another short lived blip on the 360's Japanese sales chart.
Blue Dragon shifted more consoles when launched, and the figures quickly settled back down. I don't see anything different happening here.
What it does illustrate is that the Japanese market is still very hungry for JRPG's. This is something Sony s...
That article makes it sound like WoW is on it's last legs, trying desperately to hold on to it's last few hundred thousand subscribers!!
WoW could lose over half it's subscribers and STILL be the most successful MMO on the market!
There's nothing wrong with the odd incentive programme to boost numbers, especially just before an expansion launch. The article fails to take the following in to account...
Lets say this 'refer a friend' programme nets ...
@joj319
Recall springs to mind, and replacement with a unit that has a normal defect rate.
I don't care about the bad press or billion dollar costs MS have incurred. The fact is that even with the current revisions the 360 still has a failure rate way above the industry norm. To me that is getting away with it.
The fact that no matter how times MS repair my 360 under warranty, it WILL fail earlier than anticipated because it has a design flaw, an...
Yeah, don't think it was the best port though. I seem to recall it came along right about when Windows 98 launched, so was a pain to get running.
Gamespot gave it 8/10
I wonder if a boxed PC version is now a collectible!
I'm currently looking for a 26" monitor... From reviews I'm not sure this is the ideal model though.
So any of the esteemed N4G readers have any recommendations for 26" screens?
