It's not acceptable, and in the long term it may hurt MS' future gaming efforts. I bought a launch day 360, so I didn't know that there was the inherant fault. If I had of known I would not have bought one.
I can only speak for myself (as someone who is on their 3rd 360), but I won't buy the Next Xbox until I know the hardware is good (and even then I may pass, depending on exclusive titles - but that's a different matter!).
Then again, I know two people who have h...
Well, each to their own... but this game just dropped OFF my radar.
Rental if it's lucky.
Nice.
Although I think Android may end up being quite popular as well. HP are looking at deploying it on their Netbooks
I guess I missed the memo telling me that owning a console was no longer about having fun and playing games, but about who has the most powerful hardware.
Both 360 and PS3 have a fantastic games catalogue. And graphics are not everything - as the PS2 proved last gen, and the Wii is (unfortunately) proving this gen.
It has it's faults, but is still one of my favourite games of all time.
Hope the rumour of a Trophy patch is true.
Can't wait for the DLC.
"Why is Sony working on Cloud when it should fix PSN first"
I always find it funny when people say things like this. As if a company is a giant amorphous blob, and the employees can do 'everything'.
I swear some people think that running a company is like playing Final Fantasy Tactics... Just switch a couple of jobs round whenever the need arises!
Just drag a few employees who work on PS Cloud on to PSN, because surely they will have the skil...
All great games that should be played by any PS2 owner, and any PS3 owner with a BC console!
My preferences would be:
To remove FFXII and throw in something like Dragon Quest: Journey of the Cursed King.
Also hard to have a PS3 list with out a Ratchet and Clank game.
I don't have any problems with having GT4 in there, but my preference is GT3. Just like it better for some reason!
Never liked Kingdom Hearts, so would use that sp...
I agree with that Jak 2 and Ratchet 2 FTW!
Doesn't hurt to have an online back-up option as well.
Services like iDrive and Mozy give 2GB storage for free and are fully automated once set up.
But the very fact that the PS2, after almost 10 years on the market, is still selling is why we get games like Persona 4 are being developed and released in the West.
Slot Shot
I don't use cross game chat on my 360, and I wouldn't use it on my PS3. So it's really not on my wishlist of features to be added.
But if people want it, then I hope Sony adds it one day. Just can't see the point of it...
Sounds like the perfect April Fool's joke to be honest if so many people got suckered in or hot under the collar about it.
Also great that the tinfoil hat wearing brigade immediately start looking for conspiracy and hidden messages!
We'll be seeing FFVII related April Fool's every year until SquareEnix do something about the demand for a remake and/or re-release on PSN.
In the future, when we look back gaming I think we'll see that LBP was a bit ahead of it's time.
The big markets (the 'casual' crowd) that most mainstream developers are trying to capture is not quite ready for collaborative and user generated content yet.
So why would developers want to compete with such an awesome product as LBP when market conditions are not quite right yet. for a small developer it's too much of a risk, and for a large developer / publis...
It's a good feature, but I still find such 'freedom' of sharing a bit odd (not that I'm complaining!!).
What I generally do is log in with my account on a friends PS3 to download the games, and then change the password afterwards. I trust my buddies, but I'd rather control who I'm sharing games with, and who can log in to my account.
It would be nice if there was a feature that allowed the person who purchased the game to remotely deauthorise shared copies.
Tweak, balance, polish... repeat.
Better to make the game as perfect as possible than face the complaints of a million whiners claiming something is unbalanced, buggy or broken! (Actually they'll probably do that no matter what - can't please some people!)
Starcraft II goes beyond being just a game. Competitive Starcraft is an industry in some countries, and I'm sure Blizzard would like that to continue.
Apparently so...

Considering Sony has confirmed that tomorrows big announcement is NOT a a PS3 price cut, it would be kinda nice to see this PS3remote revealed...
Although I think the announcement is more likely to be the PS2 price cut, that was leaked..
"Learn a thing or two from Epic"
Lol
When I first glanced at the headline I read 'New Zealand STORY release....'
Brought back some good 8/16-bit memories!
