£3.99 or £4.99 at most would have felt better, but I'll still get the pack.

I look at it this way... How much time am I going to spend bombing round Paradise City in the 4 new cars? Answer: HOURS! So value for money is actually pretty good.

I guess it's in line with other DLC. I'm not at my PS3 right now to check - but aren't LBP costumes £1.29 or so each?

And once again we have to remember... If you don't like the price, vote wit...

Absolutely agree LightofDarkness.

You are right,Rare have had a free ride. While I'm sure they've been working their backsides off to deliver AAA on every title it's clear that the magic has gone.

Rare are a relic; but I do hope MS focuses on the right areas to try and get them back to past glories.

I also hope MS are learning that throwing money at a problem doesn't always work. They bought Rare thinking they had got the Golden Goose. But the e...

Sony really need to step up Home support.

I was always sceptical of the concept, but gave it the benefit of the doubt as people seem hyped for it.

Now it needs a good kick in the pants to make it feel like something other than a revenue stream for Sony to make millions from micro-transactions.

I occassionally dip in to Home, just to see if there's anything new, but generally it's just boring. Every AAA release should be preceded by a Home area a m...

I agree Kameo 2 would be great. It had a lot of good ideas that just needed a little more refinement. With the lack of a proper Banjo Kazooie game, Kameo could easily have become Microsoft's answer to Ratchet and Clank, or Jak and Daxter.

It was the first game I played on my 360 on an HDTV, and it blew me away at the time!

I don't think it comes as any surprise that Rare is being restructured. As much as I love the company it seems like it's been drifting since MS bought it.

I'm not convinced any restructuring will help Rare return to the golden years it had on the SNES and N64, and before that as Ultimate, as the talent and the spark has gone. But if the alternative is to disolve the company or cut it loose I'm happy to hear MS are doing _something_ to try and get them back on track.

Both consoles have some great looking games. But MS can not give up on console visual superiority if it doesn't have a choice!

It's not like MS sat back and said, 'Y'know what, let's not bother pushing the 360 any harder - let's tell devs to stop trying'.

On paper the two console's looked to have enough pro's and con's to make them just about equal despite all the fill rate polygon pushing supercomputer spin.

In reality, 1st/2nd party games on PS3...

Microsoft are doing fine
Sony are doing fine
Nintendo are doing exceptionally well

They each have differing strategies, targets and expectations. None are failing, and all will be around for some time to come.

The only time to actually comapare success is when the generation is over and we can look back. Profit and marketshare are the two biggest factors for the companies, but have zero effect on us as the consumer.

It makes no sense...

PS3Attitude is asking the wrong question here. It shouldn't be '..change gamers attitude...' it should be '...change average consumers attitude...'.

Most people who would consider themselves 'gamers' know KZ2 is quality. Only fanboys would be so blind, and they will never change their attitudes, so KZ2 doesn't have to convince them.

So how do you convince the average consumer to buy a PS3... I don't think KZ2 is it.

If you take a large sample of ...

In the short term (5years+) I think we'll see video games continue to grow at a good rate.

People want (and need) some forms of entertainment. If you weigh up the cost of most entertainment activities in various demographics, gaming comes out as great value for money.

The Wii has pushed gaming squaring in to the mainstream conciousness, and that will only continue.

A night in with a group of friends drinking and playing Wii or Buzz is becoming a c...

Congrats MS... You are currently in exactly the same position as with the first Xbox...

...2nd place, barely outselling third place.

MS have done well, but profit is more important than sales - and MS are yet to 'win' a generation on either front. When they do that they will earn congratulations.

Developers will always try and outdo each other, so it's natural that a developers attitude may change.

However, where KZ2 may really change the attitude of other developers is not through raising the bar on visuals, or having great game play - but by giving other developers the tools and knowledge to make their games better.

We know the PS3 was/is a bit of a pig to develop for. But with Insomniac and GG now 'Centre's of Excellence' for development it makes life...

Well Nintendo have really nailed this generation so far. Who'd have thought after the N64 and GameCube they could turn it around in such spectacular fashion?

I'm sure Sony will be extremely pleased with those numbers.

MS have little to worry about. The 360 is still chugging along nicely.

The sales gaps will be pretty similar for the next few months (i.e. Wii destroys 360/PS3, and 360 beats PS3 by a small margin). Nothing new to see here!

First off - I dunno how this got approved. The title IS misleading.

But... The Edge reubuttal fails, and here's why.

They are comparing averages. That has nothing to do with proving or disproving bias.

What we are really talking about is the possible under-rating and over-rating of games. And that has to be taken on a game by game basis.

To put it in simple fanboy terms... An XBox360 game deserves a 4, but Edge give it a 6. A PS3...

@JeffGUNZ. That argument doesn't hold water (free or otherwise!!)

The bottom line is MS are charging people to play online, and then dressing it with load sof meaningless benefits (like early demo releases etc).

The fact is that playing games online on the PS3 is just as laggy or lag free as on the 360. And I'm speaking from experience here.

So why would I pay for online on the 360, when I can get an equal service on PS3?

To MS Live Gold a...

All fanboys are as bad as each other.

Trying to make out that Playstations fanboys are worse is just crazy.

The more a console gets bashed the more rabid the fanboys become.

Right now, the 360 fanboys can sit comfortably in the knowledge they have a 7-8million unit lead, the RRoD debacle has blown over (mostly), and many multi-plat games still look/play better on 360 - and I'm sure that gets under the skin of PS3 owners.

Just because the ...

The problem here is the lack of consistency in current Edge reviews.

They have nothing bad to say about any of the game play mechanics, in fact they praise the AI and other aspects highly - so are we to believe that suddenly story is paramount to making a game AAA and a cliche'd story results in a 3 point drop to 7/10?

I'm not claiming there's any sort of anti-PS3 campaign going on at Edge - but if we are talking about Edge's desire for innovation and storytellin...

Unless MS continues to throw money around to retain or buy exclusive third party support I think it's only a matter of time before most, if not all, third party developed games are multi-platform. (And that works both ways, so third party Sony exclusives will continue to migrate to the 360).

It just makes good business sense in 99% of cases - so it would not surprise me if Mass Effect etc etc end up on PS3.

The only time this won't happen is if there's IP ownersh...

If there was no fanboys I'd have a lot less reason to look at the comments at N4G!!! Pure deluded comedy gold sometimes!

Fanboys are hilarious. Fanboys claiming to not be fanboys are almost as good as well. Awesome!

Although, it would be nice to have a forum that strictly moderated comments, and had a more stringent membership criteria - for those times when a sensible discussion about gaming is desired without crazed fanboy interuption...

Edge used to review everything hard. I didn't mind because it was consistent, and in general their articles and other features were interesting, and their reviews were solidly written.

What I can't stand is the inconsistency that has crept in. It's starting to become annoying. Also the air of superiority that sometimes comes across in their writing is becoming annoying. They seem to be trying to become the 'serious face' of gaming journalism - but they are just looking like c...
