If those three are coming out between now and November I'm pretty happy. There's a tonne of multi-plats to get as well, so my gaming diary is pretty full.
I'm well in to inFamous at the moment, and then moving on to Demons Souls. So I got plenty to play!
Well, if you love the 360 so much Foxgod I'm sure there's a forum or a news item where you could be discussing your glorious 360 instead of trolling round the PS3 news.
Let the PS3 fans have their celebration, while you go and find yours.
Well, you could easily argue that last year all MS had was the FFXIII announcement - and yet 360 fans jumped on that like it was the 2nd coming. So to get a peek at FFXIV so early was nice.
You could also argue that MS showed nothing interesting this year as well.
As a long time fan of Nintendo, I was again disappointed. I thought Mario Galaxy was over-hyped, so have no reason to be excited by Galaxy 2. And the rest of the stuff shown was OK. Metroid could be good -...
Sony won it for me on the simple fact they showed more games I want to play.
I love my 360, but MS' conference showed a lot of stuff I didn't care about (streaming movies etc), and not enough games I want to play. Alan Wake looked atmospheric, but a bit too Res Evil 4 meets Alone in the Dark. It's becoming clear that MGS Rising is not something Hideo Kojima wants anything to do with, so I'm cautious about it.
Nintendo... Well, except for Metroid I would be selling m...
Considering IGN just made a mistake about 360 exclusivity of MGS:R, what do people make of this quote at the top of the trailer section on IGN...
Regarding MGS:Rising... "Gamers have seen the last of Solid Snake (or so the story goes...), but the Metal Gear franchise soldiers on without Snake and without series creator Hideo Kojima at the helm."
http://uk.media.xbox360.ign...
I think there's a good chance that MGS:Rising IS a 360 exclusive even though it wasn't mentioned one way or the other during the conference.
But I also think that tomorrow there will be a Metal Gear announcement for the PS3. Not sure if it will be MGS5 - but who knows after today!
From what IGN are stating Hideo Kojima is not the lead on the Rising project - so this may be some offshoot.
Yep Tito. 7.5 is my score for this.
Unfortunately for me the 10 games just didn't excite me much.
The Twitter/Facebook/Sky TV stuff was of no interest. (Mainly because there WILL be a big subscription charge for Sky through 360 in the UK)
The Natal stuff was interesting but simply a refinement of existing technology.
For anyone who ONLY owns a 360, then I would say it was probably an 8 or 8.5. And if you love Halo then it was a 10. :)
You got a link to that?
Was just on IGN and all I can find is a quote about how Hideo Kojima is NOT helming this game. Which may indicate it's exclusive to 360 while he works on a PS3 exclusive Metal Gear game...
Guess we find out tomorrow in Sony's conference.
Link to trailer, which includes the above quote I mentioned form IGN:

What I thought was interesting about the MS conference was the stuff they DIDN'T say...
It was specifically mentioned that after Tony Hawks Ride / Modern Warfare 2 was shown, everything would be exclusive to Xbox... So does that indicate that Mass Effect 2 is now multi-plat? Surely one of the biggest games on the Xbox would be part of MS' presentation?
Also, where was Rare and Mistwalker? Where were the XBLA games?
And, I thought Milo looked more like ...
:)
Gotta love N4G when people stealth disagree!
By the way, what rig do you have? I'm thinking of splurging on building a new PC, so interested in what you are running.
Chances this is being blown out of proportion - The Infinity Ward and Activision guys want as much hype for this game as possible, so of course it'll be featured during the MS E3 (and Sony) talks...
However, if I were to jump on the 'OMGz WTF!!!!11!!! crazy train at this tiny nugget of info', there's many ways this could be interpreted
MS have secured exclusivity... Well stranger things have happened. They chucked 50million at R* for GTAIV DLC, so nothing surpri...
They look like minimum specs to me....
Well, I own a PS3 and 360 (and Wii), and as I've mentioned a few times on this site... 2009 has been a BIG disappointment for the 360 so far (IMHO).
The growing list of games for the 360 is starting to perk my interest in the console - but MS will have to do a lot to impress me.
I don't agree with condensing the gaming year in to the last 3 months as MS seem to be doing - so I'm happy I have a few PS3 and PS2 games to keep me going.
Hopefully MS will not...
If you were cynical you could say they are only making the PSP Go to try and clamp down on piracy...
Hmm, my stack of games for '09 is building up... Currently in to inFamous, and just received an import version of Demons Souls, plus got Persona 4 to finish...
Really need to go back and play Mass Effect 1 again before 2 releases.
Ah well, who needs a social life anyway! :)
I've been reading Edge on and off for many, many...many, years. Have subscribed, and quit a couple of times too.
I most recently quit subscribing a month or two ago because I got sick of their pretentious style.
Years back Edge were always a little more highbrow than your average games mag, but their reviews were informative and generally gave a great impression even if the scores were a bit harsh.
These days the writing feels jaded and pretentious and ...
Oh, those heady days of buying Mastertronic titles for my Speccy for £1.99, and if they were uber they would be £2.99!!!
And anticipating EVERY release by Ocean, as they always made the best games, but having to wait for birthday/Xmas to get a game that cost 7.99 - 9.99!!
Good times!
Is the changing state of the city in the demo? If not then mentioning it is a Spoiler and you were out of line.
I've read 3 reviews now, and none of them mentioned it.
I only played the demo for about 5mins to check out the controls; so if the city changing is in the demo then I guess it's up for discussion on this site. However I'll certainly be avoiding N4G in future whenever games I want to play are launched.
Agree Too_Hyped.
A site like Metacritic should be a source of unbiased information simply because if you take enough scores and average them out it will smooth out those extreme numbers.. If 98% of sites give inFamous (for example) an 8, and 1% give it a 6 and 1% a 10 then overall Meta rating is going to be a fair reflection.
But this is simply not the case.
I'm not going to accuse Metacritic of bias one way or another, but what I will say is tha...
It all comes down to the story telling and the level of immersion.
More than any other games ICO and Shadow of the Colossus made me care about the characters. I was intruiged by where the story was going, I was in awe of the lansdcapes/art direction/scenery. Everything about the games were epic, and yet personal.
Both the previous games had almost zero dialogue, and yet managed to tell a really great story. They could be played and enjoyed as just solid, fun ga...
