@dem0n
Well, that works both ways... Look how long Xbox fans said Metal Gear would appear on 360. It eventuially happened, and right up until the announcement we had nothing but extremely vague rumours and speculation. But how many times have I read on N4G that MGS4 was nothing but an interactive movie etc etc by Xbox fans.
Now we're seeing the same thing with Mass Effect, a vague rumour being blown out of proportion. And how many times have I read on N4G that...
Bleszinski sometimes talks crazy - but I agree with his comments on Natal.
How exactly are you surmising this is another developer excited for Natal?
The quote is "Seems the future is coming much faster than I expected".
He then goes on to say about Sony "They still keep funding our project, and that's really, really nice. It's a really pleasant experience"
And from that somehow we get to Flower moving on to Natal!
If TGC move to Xbox development, it's no big deal - I'll just buy their e...
Another case of great journailsm... Rampant specualtion.
The very most you could assertain from Jenova's statement is TGC is probably going to create a motion controlled game.
Considering the developer is based in Sony Santa Monica studios, I'm not entirely sure the Xbox would be the destination for the fourth game.
Also amusing how many Xbox fans are now suddenly interested in TGC considering how many times I've read stuff by them bashing Flower a...
If you're happy with XP then there's no massive rush to move to W7.
Only thing I'm interested in is how many devs start utilizing DX11 - however if it's anything like the uptake of DX10 there will be no rush at all!
Only an idiot would be disappointed with those graphics. They looked cool, and detailed - and exactly what would be expected of an MMO. Nice lighting and fire effects in one clip.
The important thing to take from that video is the combat looked fluid and dynamic.
Can't wait for this game.
I think your post proves perfectly what Obama was getting at.
I heard what he said. It's the perception that the Xbox is a more hardcore console is the reason I'm arguing it was used in his speech.
Speech writers are careful about every word they write. What he said just wouldn't have worked as well if he had used the Wii due to the very fact it is a more socially accepted console among parents.
'Put away your Wii' would be akin to saying 'stop using Wii Fit'. Just wouldn't have worked. Whereas 'put away your Xbox', immedia...
Wow Liquid. That's the second time I've noticed you've used that '360 superior to PC line'.
In fact I think the first time was in reference to Alan Wake 'no longer being gimped on 360 because they are not developing a PC version'.
Ah, still funny! :) Either you are trying to get everyone's back's up or you are seriously deluded.
Is your PC stuck at 640x480 res or something?
Only fanboys would twist Obama saying we need to use game consoles LESS as a positive thing, and specifically mentioning the Xbox is hardly a good thing.
I suspect the Wii wasn't mentioned because it's seen as a console that the whole family can play.
If anything, Obama using Xbox is a sign the console is still seen as the home of mindless shooters and violent titles for the hardcore gamer.
inFamous sold 100% more copies on PS3 than Xbox 360.
Anyone else want to throw out some spin numbers?
It'll be interesting to see the sales figures.
I have no doubt that MW2 will exceed the sales of the first game by some margin - but will that margin be equal to the increased number of consoles now in the hands of gamers?
I was really looking forward to MW2 - and £45 is not the end of the world. This was a Day 1 pucrhase for me - but there's a lot of games coming out at the end of the year - so if my pile of games looks a little full, I may wait and pick u...
I don't think anyone has misunderstood. There's plenty of posts above pointing out the actual retail vs RRP.
£5 may not sound like much, but it's an increase of 12.5% on a £39.99 game - that's a lot. And for no other reason than Activision knows it's got a huge seller on it's hands.
Although, looking at the prices in Europe it's not us Brits who should be complaining loudest....
On Amazon.fr, MW2 is 69.95Euro's, which equates to £6...
Ah Foxgod... so serious. Just having a little fun at MS' expense!
It's pretty much a given that MS will crowbar Natal support in to all it's big IP's.
I could see it being integral to Halo Reach (after all, look at the name of the game... Reach <- a gesture!!)
Gears 3, probably optional, and for squad commands, maybe throwing grenades, but not the main control mechanics.
Conker... Maybe - obviously Natal is getting huge support f...
@DeathroW22
I agree, but what better way of guaranteeing the success of Natal than by incorporating it in to a Halo game.
Confirmed...
Natal Sports
Natal Music
Natal Fit
With the possibility of ...
Natal Party
Natal Kart
And let us not forget the real AAA titles...
Natal LiPS
Natal In the Movies

So Activision CEO demands Sony drop the price of the PS3 or they may pull support...
...And then hike up the prices of their games.
Disgusting. I suggest us gamers demand the same of Activision as they have of Sony!
£55.00 RRP is a joke - they are leveraging the fact they know the game will be popular to rip us off.
And just for perspective...
RRP in UK -> £54.99 = $90.49
Amazon UK price -> £44.96 ...
True, but it's a hypothetical question.
For those of use who are not blind fanboys it's an interesting discussion point...
When MS launched the 360 it appeared to me that it had done everything right. The 360 was a smart evolution of the work they had done with the Xbox 1.
Sony on the other hand, appeared to not only be shooting itself in the foot, but blowing it's entire leg off!
But as this interesting 'battle' has evolved it's my opinion...
That makes sense. MAG would have been crushed under the weight of Modern Warfare 2 sales.
This way MAG gets fair chance at carving out a place for itself in 2010.
The great thing about the PS3 and Sony is that we get AAA games throughout the year... Not just Nov-Dec like a certain other console....
Maybe Cliff just operates with an inbuilt 0.250 second lag, so Gears and Natal seem instantaneous? :)
