Agreed. A helluva lot of the game was really cinematic. The camera direction in the cutscenes was some of the best I have seen.
Seems a bit weird to me that some of the non-PhysX effects are totally missing rather than just 'dumbed down' versions.
We've had various types of volumetric fog for years in games - and yet only in the PhysX version has ANY fog present.
Also the cloth banner... How many times have we seen cloth emulated in games (err... like Batman's cape), and yet it's only on the PhysX version.
Just seems a bit weird to me... Especially as I'm pretty positive I've see...
It was sarcasm guys...
Next time I'll use the tag /sarcasm!
Way to have an opinion gamerzone.de! Maybe?
Hmm, let's see... Does Uncharted 2 have the most impressive graphics of all time? Maybe!
Does Halo ODST have the most impressive graphics of all time? Maybe!
How non-commital can you get?!
I like the graphics in Heavy Rain, but it's how the whole thing comes together that will make or break it. This game is all about immersion, so any weird animation, poor textures or frame-rate issues could rea...
If this is journalism then the gaming industry media is in a sorry state...
This 'journalist' listens to a podcast where a Microsoft guy is asked 'Does MS allow turbo controllers to be used'.
Microsoft guy answers 'Yes. We don't consider it cheating'.
The rest of the article goes on to describe what a turbo controller is!
Where's the follow up? Was it too much to try and contact MS for a statement on WHY they don't consider it cheating and...

You should be ashamed wxer, approving stuff like this!
If you like GTA games... but wish you could jump over buildings and smash the cr@p out of everything, then the answer is YES!
It's aged a little bit, but is still immense fun. The graphics are cool, and the way player and the vehicles 'level up' graphically is brilliant.
I hope Ruffian are the right team... Crackdown is one of my favourite games this gen.
Considering a lot of the team is made up of ex-Realtime Worlds / Crackdown guys, I think we'll be OK here.
@XLive Gamer
I have no doubt some people will be trading in their PS3 Fat for a Slim. The difference is, those PS3 Fat's are still working and in circulation, and probably being snapped up at a good price.
Unlike the RRoD out of warranty 360's, which either end up on the scrap pile (and so are out of circulation, but still counted by MS) or sent to MS for fixing and then get sent out again (and possibly counted as another 'shipped' unit for MS).
If you ...
@ReservoirDog
A LOT of games are now supporting the 360 controller out of the box on PC.
Load up Bioshock or Wolfenstein, for example and press the Guide button and the layout and even onscreen button prompts change to the 360 control mappings. Requires no manual mapping of buttons - it's pretty good.
I bought the wireless receiver for Windows, so I can use my 360 wireless controller. Works great (even on Windows 7 RC1)
Personally I prefer...
There's a difference between a list of 'important' consoles that changed the industry, and 'top' consoles.
NES at 1 and Atari 2600 at 2... I can just about live with. Throw in the PS1, PS2, original Xbox, the Wii, N64, SNES and Dreamcast and just maybe the PS3, and I think that's a fair list of 'important' consoles. It's still just opinion, but it's easier to justify why they should be the top of the list, because each did something innovative or changed the industry in some wa...
What! Sam and Max Seasons???? Not even close to being as good as the original. They SHAME the name Sam and Max.
They could have put in any number of early LucasArts games. I'd probably stick TIE Fighter in, or maybe even X-Wing (I still have the B-Wing expansion on 3.5" disc). Plus Full Throttle was just awesome, and The first two Monkey Island games are two of the best adventures ever made.
Also agree with Alcon - Any number of Sierra games would be a fine...
The problem now is one of cost, time and comparative features.
The return on investment to pump more money and time in to making the PS3 version superior just isn't worth it.
Wow, what a list... I really don't agree with the 360 being so high.
The original XBox was a MUCH more important console and is a landmark in the industry - the 360 just refined what the original pioneered. First console to integrate a hard drive and ethernet port and a consolidated online service (even the PC didn't allow players to have one 'identity' at that time in the same way as Live).
The only negative against the Xbox was the fact MS killed it so quic...
I'd say that MS has (almost) managed to get it's console to the point it should have been at when it launched!
i.e.
Decent size hard drive
HDMI port
More reliable
Owning a 20GB launch day 360 (well I'm actually on my third because of RRoD) seems like I'm in the stone age compared to my PS3.
Having to delete stuff off the puny hard drive every time I want to install a game or download content I have previous bought. Not being...
Did MS also mention how many they are behind the Wii in Europe?
Wow, that Disgaea 3 DLC is pricey. I love the game, but have been holding off buying DLC as I just wasn't sure it was worth it. Seeing the entire DLC pack for more than I paid for the game is pretty crazy!
And how many of these whiny idiots are still going to buy the game Day 1!
If people are really annoyed with the art direction Blizz have taken, they should vote with their wallets and not buy it.
Some people just have to complain. Do they think Blizz are going to change their entire art assets just because of a group whiners who call themselves hardcore Diablo players/fans? The art/graphics in Diablo 1 and 2 was OK but it was the GAME PLAY that kept me coming b...
IF EA did block cross-game chat on PS3, I applaud them. It's a feature that does nothing for gaming.
Meus, there's a saying which fits perfectly here...
"Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics"
The wording is 0.5% of PS3's fail with YLOD
That says absolutely nothing about the actual overall failure rate - only those with the YLOD. It's genius wording in the Sony letter because it directly addresses the allegation with out having to reveal the true failure rate (which seems well within industry standards anyway). In the process it creates the pos...
