Lol at niceguyWii60 and Hallmark.
MS stole E3 2009? Only in the US press, and only because of some smoke and mirrors Natal crap that almost put Sony's E3 2005 exploits to shame. Most gamers saw it as a less than stellar E3 for all the big parties, but no way did MS 'win'.
MS seem to be taking the line (again) that a year is actually 3 months between Oct and Dec and not a full 12 months. It's pretty amazing the way they can bend time and mak...
I want to see what 3D really adds in the home. At the cinema it's pretty amazing, but at home I'm not so sure.
I think it has bigger potential for gaming than movies/TV, but it really has to add value - I think it will eventually, but not until the price comes down.
So this is one technology I'm happy to wait for.
If the TV manufacturers were sensible they would start fitting 3D to their mid range models - but I can undertsand ...
Bizarre Creations seemed to go off the boil with PGR4. I was cautiously looking forward to Blur, hoping it was a return to form. Haven't tried a demo yet, so will reserve judgement until I can try the game, but this review isn't a good start.
Split/Second demo was fun, but lacked the visceral thrill I associate with the Burnout games.
Damn, I need a new racing game! Where's Criterion when I need them! (Working on SSX if rumours are true!)
With games costing millions and taking years to produce publishers have so much riding their success these days that embargoes are the only way to sell some crappy games.
I remember the days of seeing a game reviewed up to 2 months ahead of release in magazines. I could make an informed decision (as the writing was far less biased then as well).
Nowadays we can't trust scores because of the advertising dollars thrown at some publications/websites. We ca...
"If It Didn't Work On Wii, Don't Try It On Move"
Well there goes about 90% of the potential games for Move!! j/k (sorta)
R2 to shoot? Noooooo!
Worth watching just for the music!
Ah, what a trip down memory lane. Played (and owned) most of those. The Great Escape being a particular fave.
I think the list missed some real gems. Loads of the film to game tie-ins by Ocean were pretty great - especially Robocop. And the lost really needed some of these... Trans-Am, Rolling Thunder, Buggy Boy, Hard Drivin', Elite, Renegade (first game I bought on disc for my +3), Hacker, Green Beret, NOMAD, Alien ...
Looks kinda cool, especially in multiplayer.
I've heard this likened to an FPS version of Burnout - but the Skill kills reminded me more of the Kudos system in Project Gotham Racing!!
This is my biggest problem too.
I had GTAIV pre-ordered; reviews made it sound like 'teh best game eva'. But in reality I'd give it a 7 at best. I can not, to this day, work out how reviewers gave it such high scores (and I find it hard to believe that R* bought off almost EVERY website and publication to secure high scores!)
Video game journalism and reviews have zero credibility to me these days, so I'll probably let RDR pass me by until I...
Great score but I'm not convinced. I thought SMG was weak, which pains me to say as a very very long term Mario fan.
Nice enthusiastic review though...
It doesn't make it a bad buy... It just doesn't make it a repeat buy for me.
I bought a 360 on Day 1. Now on my third 360 - and I'm out of warranty. Won't be buying a replacement if this one goes wrong.
I sincerely hope not.
Sega have problems, but profitability isn't one of them - and the problems they do have wouldn't be solved by being eaten by Nintendo.
The ONLY reviews I trust! :)
The PlayTV device in Europe has been a great purchase for me.
Just a shame the original claim that it could play HD broadcasts with a simple update turned out to be a crock!
The 'superiority' of 360 version is not enough to make me want to drag the console out of the cupboard where it's been gathering dust since early 2009!
PS3 version looks fine in motion, at least good enough for me not to worry about how it looks on the 360... Like 99% of other multi-plats these days.
Until a company finds a way to implement DRM in a consumer friendly, unobtrusive and uncrackable way then it's pointless.
What's the point of DRM when it just encourages the various hacker teams to break it. What's the point of DRM when it gives the legit consumer a worse experience than the illegal downloader?
The UbiSoft method is probably the worst I have seen and is just wrong in every way. Steam is the closest to a good implementation - but ...
Hope so... Beyond Good and Evil was a brilliant game
As long as this is a refinement rather than a full revamp I'll be happy.
A better way to deal with the list of Friends, and messages would be great.
More folder and sorting options would be nice.
A MUCH better media/audio player and sorting facility would be great.
A nicer way to selectively back-up media to an external drive would be OK
Some sort of cloud integration for backing up save games would be fantastic (having just lost my c...
The tweet definitely implied two different games. Assuming the X is for an SSX game (which would be awesome), I think Y is probably referring to Need for Speed.
It would be nice if they had a third title in production; but I don't think Criterion are big enough for that to be true.
If Sony structure their event well then there's no reason they can not wow us with two FPS games!
Especially as R3 and KZ3 are two very different games and may have different release schedules.
Fingers crossed we see some R3 action at E3!!
