Great game; and fantastic voice acting by Eric Idle.
So first it was...
PS3 too expensive, 360 wins
Then it was PS3 no games, 360 wins
Then it was 360 sells more world wide, 360 wins
Then it was 360 sells more in NA, 360 wins
Now we're down to MS outselling Sony in just one quarter every year??....
Talk about grasping at straws!
Heart says MoH.
Head says CoD
Your average consumer doesn't know (or care) who makes the next CoD game, they'll just lap it up like MW2. The MoH devs really seem to be trying to beat CoD and make a great game, even if they are taking a little bit too much inspiration from CoD in my opinion.
I beg to differ.
Are you just referring to fanboys? Cus as a gamer I'm loving the announcements from Nintendo and Sony, and will be buying a lot of games for both systems.
Yeah, it's interesting how IGN etc are being so blase about Steam coming to PS3.
I'm pretty sure it's not to going to be a "full fat" version of steam, but I still think it's huge news.
Personally I think that if SteamCloud is a success on PS3, a deal might already be on the table for Valve/Steam to handle PlaystationCloud.
For all we know the instant update features of Playstation Plus could be handled by the Steam ...
I think you could be right.
Let the market speculate, and MS may even have released some "unofficial rumors" that Kinect is $150 - so when they announce $99, it will appear as more of a bargain.
But then again, even though Sony have announced the Move pricing there is nothing stopping retailers battling it out at lower price points. Very little stuff is sold at RRP in this industry. And a last minute Move + Nav bundle at a sensible price point wou...
@Spenok
I think Beastie was (poorly) referring to the interview.
Mattrick said the retailers etc thought they (as in MS) had won E3.
Sony and Nintendo tie. MS a distant third.
I'm excited with the momentum Nintendo are starting to generate with some hardcore games (at last!!). Sony continue to dish out the good stuff.
I'll probably buy Gears 3 and maybe Halo Reach (if the SP is better than Halo 2 and 3) for my 360, and wait for Fable 3 on PC - but other than that MS was a disgrace. How any company can hold TWO E3 events and manage to screw up both of them should go down with Gia...
Well, I reckon it'll be getting a few months subs out of me.
They seem to be playing it safe and just ripping off WAR and WoW - but I can live with that as I love 40k
The way I see it. 3DTV technology is exactly the same as when the PS3 launched... It's there for the gadget freaks and those with more money than sense.
But 3D has to start somewhere, and it's those early adopters that help drive the cost down for everyone else. If we eventually move towards decent glasses-free 3D on TV screens - then Sony (and their devs) will already have plenty of experience in the field.
3D is a natural evolution for TV and gami...
Good call. I played that game a LOT!
Yep. Nintendo really surprised me at E3. Amazing show!
The only slight disappointment was that Zelda looked like more of the same - which normally would be a good thing, but I really disliked Twilight Princess, so they have work to do there to convince me.
I do think that they are getting a lot of good press purely because expectations were so low (Vitality sensor anyone!!!). I still think they could have shown more... Like Pikmin 3. A new Pilot Wings, F-Z...
I thought the Milo tech might have been behind Kinectimals. Seemed to have a similar kinda feel.
Guess Milo is still real. Unfortunately. I suppose it's not hard to make something 10x better than a faked video.
Skies of Arcadia,
Daytona
Crazy Taxi 1 and 2
Powerstone 1 and 2
That would do me!
That's a bit too long. Hope it's Q1 2012.
Darksiders is the most underrated and overlooked game this generation.
I don't have a Gold subscription, and I've not seen anything that would make me take a PSN+ sub.
Sony do seem to be trying to pack in the value - but it seems a bit empty right now.
Don't care about the weight, and not overly bothered by the PSU still being external.
I do want to see one 'in the flesh' before passing judgement, as first impression on the web is a bit meh! The plastic looks cheap shiny, rather than the 'piano black' I've seen on recent TV's and other technology.
A previous poster made an apt analogy... 'It looks like a fat girl wearing a corset'! I'm surprised they went with a bla...
As this is an RRP the actual price could be a little cheaper at retail.
Ideal price for me would have been 34.99 for the Move, and 19.99 for the Nav.
The Nav does seem expensive at 29.99. And it's quite strange that Sony haven't put together a few bundles - Move + Nav seems obvious to me.
For comparison a Wiimote inc Motion+, and a Nunchuk on GAME is £58 which compares to £70 for the Move + Nav, so only £12 more for si...
For entertainment:
Sony Nintendo tie > MS
Nintendo's event was better paced throughout, but the high points of the Sony event were bigger, so a tie there. MS was boring.
For content/games:
Nintendo > Sony > MS
Sony made a mistake announcing so many games before E3, but they still showed more content than MS. Nintendo won hands down. Gears and Halo look cool, and maybe Fable 3 will reach it's potential this time - but we'...
Yeah good find. And I trust Harmonix. But considering how much of the Kinect stuff MS faked I think the best option is to just wait and see.
I think one of their promo vids showed a family of 4 all playing.
