The thing I like about Trophies / Achievements, is when the dev has gone to the effort to add interesting ones. When they make me think about playing the game in a different way, or explore an area I had previously missed. That can only be a good thing - as I'm getting even more re-playability out of a game.

I don't actually care about the score, or getting Plats etc. But for those gamers who do, good for them.

What I dislike is the pointless Troph...

I think a lot of people will take the same 'pop my head in to check things out again and hopefully it will be worth playing' appraoch. Gamers have wised up to MMORPG launches that don't see the game fully mature for a year or two.

I kept away from ToR for exactly that reason. I wanted to see what state the game was in after 6 -12 months.

The Old Republic actually sounds like my perfect MMORPG!

In every MMO I've played I've got bored before level cap due to lack of interesting / personal story lines. I also rarely have time or interest in Raiding and other end game content where the idea seems to be to endlessly run the same Raids for gear with slightly better stat points.

But what I do love about MMO's (compared to RPG's) is the idea of a living, breathing world.

Same here!! :)

Although I did make a ridiculous 'Happy Birthday' level for a friend, who was pretty blown away by it!!

I love driving games, but this gen there's been one huge problem for most of them... Loading times.

In NFS Hot Pursuit it sometimes felt like I spent more time looking at loading screens than taking part in the races!

Also, it's one thing to have long load times before getting in to races, as the game engine etc loads; but also having long load times waiting for the menus (like Dirt 3) is just ridiculous.

Absolutely!

That Wonderbook segment took the wind out of an otherwise decent E3 presentation. Wonderbook needed 5 minutes max to get the point across.

They could have filled the time with so much Vita news!

Big fail in their presentation. Nothing they showed gave me incentive to buy one, and the lack of information actually made me wonder how hard Sony is supporting the Vita.

I think Vita will get a boost when Sony show off how it integrates with the PS4... fingers crossed, as I'd love to own one.

I shall be far more wary about buying a console Day 1 in future. Feel I got a little burned this time.

It's not about the money, it's abut the value I'm getting for my money.

When I was growing up, LucasArts games were always Day 1, no matter what. NightShift, Afterlife, Super StarWars, X-Wing, Monkey Island, Sam and Max, Loom, Grim Fandango, KotoR, Full Throttle, even Rebel Assault titles etc. It was classic after classic..

How things change!

Last title I really enjoyed from them was Republic Commando - no idea how that never got a sequel.

As much as I like Fieldrunners, this dev is out of touch.

Not building FR2 as a Universal app is a mistake in my opinion. It was understandable with the original game as the iPad didn't exist - but with iCloud, Game Center, the new iPad etc it makes sense to go Universal. It reduces costs and effort.

It also strikes me as slightly money grabbing as the iPhone and iPad versions of FR1 are both priced at the upper end for games, and I don't want to...

Same here.

A lot of people I spoke to had a feeling the game would go F2P, so waited instead of subscribing.

Everything I have heard about the game makes it sound very decent.. Just not decent enough to pay ten quid a month.

Also I think with so many poor launches people want to wait to get better service, more content, and have the rough edges smoothed off.

No, not saying it's a better game - that's subjective.

But I preferred it to Skyward Sword, and have become jaded with the Zelda games since Wind Waker.

GT6 needs to be released in the first 12-18 months of the PS4's launch.

Strange comment from the dev. I played Darksiders, and it was the best 'Zelda like' experience I've had in a long time. Far better than Nintendo's recent efforts.

Can't wait for more 'Zelda like' gaming in Darksiders 2 on Day 1.

... In spite of SquareEnix's recent track record, some people will continue to be rabidly excited about a game we know nothing about. Others will remain ambivalent but intrigued until it launches.

Probably not... People get far too invested in some developers and game IP's.

Torchlight 2 looks like it's going to be an excellent game - and it will be interesting to see how well it sells. Unfortunately they don't have the marketing budget of Blizzard, so Diablo's seat is unfortunately safe.

Great news. Darksiders is one of my favourite 'Zelda style' games (and in fact I much prefer it to the recent Zelda games).

The art style is great, and the story was engaging. Plus it was fun to play! I also hope the free version on PSN Plus has helped create some more interest in the sequel.

Really looking forward to Darksiders 2. One of the few Day 1 titles on my list this year.

Yawn, too little too late.

Half of what the CEO said made it sound like D3 was an unfinished game at launch, and the rest was excuses to justify their poor design decisions.

D3 will not go down as an all-time classic; and whilst I've had fun and just about got my moneys worth, I'm done with it for now.

Needs more games before I will get a Vita. I know there are some good titles already, but I felt burned after the comparative lack of support for PSP and am concerned the same may happen for Vita.

I have a feeling Sony will make a big Vita push when PS4 launches, and we'll see a lot more integration between the two platforms. That might be the time I buy.
