A proper reboot of Syndicate would be awesome. With the success of the XCom reboot / remake I think it's more viable now than ever.
The 'other' Syndicate reboot should quickly be forgotten.
I don't agree with all 7 on that list, but at least the article tackles things from a hardcore perspective.
What I'm predicting is more stuff licensed to mobile platforms, and casuals. Tatooine Moisture Farmville anyone? :)
Some new adventure games would be awesome. Heavy Rain showed there's a market for them. Grim Fandango and Full Throttle needed more games.
A reboot of X-Wing vs TIE Fighter is probably top on my most wanted ...
B..Bu...But... I thought all console games sucked on non-PC platforms???
Surely PC gamers wouldn't want something tainted by the PS3 being lead platform??
Whatever next!? Maybe they'll be wanting Killzone too??
:)
Interesting speculation that ND are also working on a PS4 version of TLOU. Can't see it happening myself, but interesting idea.
I had no idea this game was still running!
Tried it in the early days. Didn't like it.
There's not a shred of evidence that Moore was fired. At the time no credible website reported that his departure was anything but his own decision.
You have a very simplistic view of how big business works if you think Moore intentionally signed off on a product that he knew would have a 30% failure rate
My predictions for next gen...
MS' E3 presentation will be at least as painful as 2012 and 2011, but they will still be declared 'E3 winner' in certain parts of the media.
Multi-plat games will look almost identical between the two (as in this gen), but that won't stop fanboys comparing pixels / blades of grass rendered.
Sony exclusives will look better than MS exclusives, show more innovation and creativity, and there will be...
Cool. I'm glad you're enjoying it. No doubt the skylines are amazing, and I do love how it is the polar opposite of the claustrophobic and rusted Rapture.
I was just hoping for something more... I never really found the Vigors exciting - except for the Crow one, which was just great, especially when powered up with the Devil.
The idea of combo-ing the Vigors was nice, but underused and a bit fiddly on the PS3 controller. The guns were all a bit meh ...
There's enough hot air being generated about BioShock Infinite to float the whole US, not just Columbia!
I think the story and the way it 'tackles hard issues' has been hugely over hyped, over blown, and over rated.
I thought Infinite was a fairly average FPS game. Not as good as the first, but miles better than the 2nd.
I hope Peter Moore gets the CEO job. He was great at MS in the early days of Xbox and 360 (I think his influence was missed after 2007)
I think he would change things a lot with a promotion to the top level.
Lets wait and see, then vote with our wallets as necessary.
All this huffing and puffing about rumours is pointless and probably overblown.
The bigger question, for me at least is, are MS going to release any new IP and top notch exclusives... Or are they going down the route of Gears, Halo, Fable, Forza, paying for timed exclusivity and focusing on Kinect as they ended up doing with the 360.
Well... Apparently I'm a Gaming Grandparent... just. Grew up on Intellivison and Atari VCS. Remember when the Star Wars arcade cabinet was brand new and state of the art, and playing that game was as close to being in Star Wars as a kid could ever wish. I certainly remember the annoyance of physical 'DRM'. The noises of the old dial up modems, and the weird screeching of loading a Spectrum game. Good times!
You whippersnappers don't know how good you've ...
From the response of the MS guy on twitter it seems MS have picked up the arrogance baton dropped by Sony mid way through the PS3's life cycle.
Looking at it from a sales perspective... India, for example, is a massive emerging market, with a huge potential for sales over the next 10 years. The PS3 is already on sale in 35+ cities there. But internet penetration is less than 10% (as of 2011).
You could argue that the affluent 10% who have internet are p...
The best thing this dev could have done is just shut up about the frame rate cap. Best focus on the important things.. like game play.
Then let the fanboys argue over FPS and resolution after release.
Sony would be smart to do an ultimate bundle of PS4, Vita and at least one cross play game. With a nice discount, this could get the Vita in to a lot of hands.
It wouldn't surprise me if Sony continue to consolidate, and possibly sell off some parts of the business to enable them to streamline - but I find it unlikely that they will go under.
Nothing earth shattering about the game, but it was far better than I expected.
It's nice to go in to a game with zero expectation and be pleasantly surprised. The downside is, that whilst I was happy to play it in beta, I didn't think a full price purchase was warranted - at a budget price I would have been tempted - maybe.
I wonder how many people screaming about not buying MGS5 because a voice actor hasn't been used will really follow through.
I find it amusing that people throw tantrums about this stuff when:
1. We know almost nothing about this game, so no idea how Hayter would / would not fit in.
2. If Kojima has dropped Hayter it may be with good reason for the series
3. It wouldn't be the first time Kojima pulled the wool over peoples eyes, maybe there wi...
The timed exclusive thing is what killed my interest in the 360. It seemed like all MS were doing were spending money on a couple of months lead time and masses of marketing, at the expense of new IP or 1st party titles.
If that strategy continues I'll not be buying the next Xbox.
I guess I was a little surprised that I didn't enjoy Uncharted 3 as much as 2. but it was still a great game.
How much I disliked GTAIV was probably the single biggest surprise.
Wow... now there's a thought... Adding Star Wars to a Kingdom Hearts game could be the most awful and brilliant mash up in a video game of all time.
