Either way, if XBO S' 4k up scaling is the "same thing" as PS4 Pro's, why did Sony bump their PS4 console up to twice the power when it was already more powerful than the XBO S? Gotta be some reason for that extra power, maybe their upscaling process is more sophistica...
Considering anyone w/ a decent internet connection can stream or d/l the same 4k content from Sony or third parties, what difference does a 4k bd player truly make? We aren't ready to go fully digital w/ games yet but in terms of film & tv content, who really buys physical movies aside from the most ardent film buffs? Ultimately the same content will be available w/o the 4k bd player, so if removing it allowed for a $399 price point, I'm fairly sure that's a more enticing pros...

The Playstation Twitch channel would be the one I'd be looking for though.

May be a nit pick, but I'm not a fan of the obtrusive combo counts in games anymore. The only title that I can think of that pulled it off decently from recent memory was the Arkham series (and even that would be better w/o it). There's just way too much HUD in this game. It's almost comical really. If you include a narrative of any sort, let us be immersed in that over a bunch of numbers & letters on a screen constantly obscuring everything. I'm not sure the issue is the Xbox audience, I think the issue is MS' own confidence in their audience. It was clearly stated from the beginning that Sony would be receiving the small amounts of exclusive content that existed, so anyone who bought the XBO version had access to that info.
I definitely agree that it's not in a gamers' best interest to allow the practices of buying exclusive windows of content to proliferate, but again, competition keeps that off the table for the most part. Bungie is never going to give meaningful content as exclusives in these kinds of...

You are forgetting the most basic thing, that the PS4 is simply a more powerful console. W/o a 4k tv what benefit does the XBO S have over PS4? That power differential is available to 100% of consumers, whereas those points you mentioned simply won't be.

Look at CD & RotTR, they are asking full price for a game that will have an XBO, 360 & PC version sitting on shelves and in digital market places for as little as $7. That is garbage, this is peanuts.
