apparently the order is not as far along into development as you might think...what they showed at gamescom was not actual gameplay, but proof of concept stuff behind closed doors...looks like it'll be fall of 2014 at the earliest...i'm sure it will be worth the wait though...between it and a possible uncharted 4, as well as whatever san diego is working on, ps4 will have an amazing stable of games around this time next year
@magzter....yup, "it's not out of the question" is developer speak to it's already in the cards....if it simply wasn't going to happen then they would be saying as much, and microsoft would be shouting it from the rooftops....bottom line is that a buzzworthy new dev w/ the clout of respawn would simply not waste years on a game that will only drop on a couple platforms, unless microsoft buys them outright it will see a ps4 release, because developers like money...the onl...
It's more or less confirmed to hit the ps4 at some point in the future, the respawn guys have said almost as much, that it was always their point to deliver it on all platforms...it looks like it plays very smoothly and looks like a lot of fun, but I'm not a multiplayer guy, so I'm hoping whatever kind of campaign mechanic they have will be a good complete story
The whole point of the article is that it could be exactly not that, with sonys connections in the entertainment industry, they could get the channels on board that most other companies can't, so if the variety is good, it's a better deal that the one, plus much more forward thinking...cable companies and television has been in a steady decline for the past few years exactly due to services like the one it seems Sony is trying to outline....w/ the Xbox, America is the only country tha...
i'm not so sure that's a one to one comparison, if that was the case then sony & nintendo both paid your gas bill all last gen, it's more like a car company charging you a fee to open your gas tank in order to put gas in....we already pay our electric bill, that's the xbox gas...it's the fact that all of these big advertised features are behind a paywall, which would've made a lot more sense before the drm was removed, because the system was marketed as an online m...
i'm just waiting for the article titled "Microsoft requires you sign over your first born child in order to play the new halo, and why that should be fine w/ you" or "Seriously guys, come on, Microsoft is my friend, lay off him for a minute"
that's the scary part....i think its safe to say anyone who truly listens to and feels this garbage has a screw or two loose....now you take those same people and tell them "well you're basically a mass murderer already because of video games" and bombing that abortion clinic might not seem so bad anymore....doesn't he realize how much more this kind of stuff hurts than it helps?
I reckon he was referring to Dr. (Hugo) Strange, but still I don't recall him being much of a geneticist in the books...hopefully the game can match the quality of the other two, although story wise I highly doubt that it will with the army of two writers instead of the great Paul dini
great article....before i played the last of us, if i saw a game like dead rising 3, i would be fairly excited to play it, after the last of us, i just can't muster any reason to play it or any other zombie action type games....it's just been perfected already, any other games after it will simply pale in comparison....i'm still down with the walking dead because it fills a different niche, but until nd make the last of us 2, i'm totally satisfied w.o another zombie game for a...
Apple got the same deal Microsoft did with time Warner, and they will probably get even more, being that the attach rate for apple tv will probably be much higher than that of the 'one'....to me, gamers who want diversity are better served with the ps4
I believe the poster spoke too soon, as new broke yesterday that time Warner also has a deal with apple tv, that box that happens to do everything the one does (everything that matters anyway) for 400$ cheaper
I think it's just a smart assed way of saying that naughty dog have delivered on a lot of the stuff that David cage always says about his games (I.e. emotional experiences & revolutionary gameplay & storytelling)...cages games might not be full of dexterous trigger happy stuff, but there is always a lot of depth in his stuff....no doubt the last of us will be better than beyond in my eyes though, I'm a sucker for naughty dog
Anyone assuming 10$ or a nominal fee like the guy in the video for "borrowing" games from friends will be sorely let down come e3....it just doesn't make any logical sense...why ever buy a new game if you can have a crew of 5 or 6 gamers (or even an online clan of dozens) alternating full purchases so their buddies can get it on the cheap? This would essentially lose ms more money than used games ever did, and it's just ridiculous to think this fee will be anything less tha...
i guarantee they will show some very enticing games come e3 to get the early adopter crowd, but personally there is no amount of great games that could get me to buy a box with a limited shelf life, that is wholly dependent on the good graces of the company who made it, a company that have only proven greedier and greedier as time has gone on

this article spells it out that the studio is working on this dlc post-launch....things included in season passes rarely ever drop the same day, and a studio of naughty dog's pedigree would never hamper a game for something like this....if ...
i have no doubt that xbox will reveal some amazing games come e3, but it's the drive to reveal them that kinda upsets me....they've went 2 whole generations with very little in the way of exclusive content, but now they put out a box that is very anti consumer, enough to the point where privacy & security companies are even bashing them, so they have to have games to lure people to "deal with it"....they could have the greatest games in the history of the genre on the bo...
You know you don't have to buy the season pass to get at the story stuff don't you? A season pass is just a cheaper way to bundle ALL dlc for a game, but if you just want the story stuff, you can pay a lesser amount, (probably 10$ or so) to just get the story stuff....I don't understand people that are mad about the season pass, it's just a way for people who want everything to get it cheaper....I personally don't do multiplayer, so this isn't for me, but that doesn...
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head about whether or not Sony will advertise their features as well as Microsoft....what I was seeing was more or less the same capabilities with a few more neat bells & whistles, but ultimately, Microsoft does seem to have the mindshare of being a more capable multimedia system at this point, which could definitely work in its favor so long as the games are there....I expect a lot of big games come e3, but mainly because they have to have some big ti...
Your statement is completely plausible, definitely not trying to dismiss it, but what else does it do so much more than a ps4 as far as multimedia is concerned? It connects to yer cable, but my remote also has an input switch that I can press, beyond that, cable is dying out to streaming services, all of which will also feature in sonys machine....I keep hearing about how much more it does, so maybe I am missing something, but all I really know is nfl has some exclusive deal with them, and yo...
Great informative video with interesting points...but this is based off of Scott Lowe playing an early build on a debug kit, a game from a developer with usually a very long lead time to develop a product has one of the quickest turnarounds of the franchise on this title, on boxes that they have had for an undisclosed amount of time...all signs point to devs getting their hands on early versions of these systems in late 2011, early 2012. So it might be down to the developers being rushed...I ...
