That's what I'm thinking too...indies & mid tier stuff & racing/sports titles can hit that 4k, but most other AAA console fare should & most likely will target higher fps & graphical effects over hitting a native 4k. Even as powerful as Scorpio is said to be, it still won't be able to push 4k at a decent fps w/ the large amount of graphical effects expected of a top tier AAA console like title.

I think it's been clearly said that this game isn't gonna be some lengthy prospect. It would most likely fall more on the tech demo side, but apparently its a very competent one. Also, it is coming in the "launch window" so I'm pretty sure they confirmed it won't be day 1, but sometime before the end of 2016 or slightly after the beginning of 2017.

Isn't the original Halo Wars a pre order incentive for Halo Wars 2? Seems weird that they'd give it out for free to everyone as well...kinda negates the entire idea of the preorder incentive, especially when it is being given out only a month after the preorder announcement. Obviously third parties make up a huge portion of games on any box, but when those games are available elsewhere, exclusives pick up the slack of differentiating & giving a box its own unique identity. They are absolutely vital imo. Exclusives always make up at least half of my gaming library on any console I ever own. They just typically end up being better quality games than third parties solely because they are pointed towards a specific community & specific hardware.

Sounds like you haven't read a single preview from any outsider or any publication whatsoever then...the majority of them have sung PSVRs praises to some extent....lot of people considering Batman Arkham VR to be one of the best demos at E3 hands down, even the skeptics. I agree that most won't want to jump into first gen tech & I may be one of those that don't right with you but I honestly don't think that VR is going anywhere. This isn't like any other gaming peripheral to ever hit the market because it reaches outside of gaming.

I mean I can understand all of your criticisms other than the space one...what about VR necessitates a space any larger than the one you exist in? VR isn't about walking around in real time, and a lot of it is fully functional with a controller or a motion control kit....fairly sure that VR doesn't require any more space than a standard console or PC would...

There is a narrative goal...you are trying to make it to the center of the universe....unless you can do that in a couple hours, then no you can't see everything it has to see in that amount of time. Beyond that, we already know that no human being can see everything this game has to offer in a lifetime, much less a couple hours. Yup...wasn't QB a UWP title? We all saw how well that worked out for the PC at least at the outset.
Believe the media line all you like, but when you do that in the face of clear proof to the contrary, the only person you will be disappointing is yourself. It's gonna take some real time to make UWP titles function as advertised on release. It ain't some magic cure all.
