This game has had some really good scores as well as many poor ones. I like the look of the game and despite the glut of bad reviews yesterday, I decided to keep my pre-order (Amazon did not ship mine until last night), If it is as bad as most of the reviews says it is, my hard luck and serve me right for ignoring first the rumours of a mediocre game and then the reviews. If it is good then I will know never to trust the any of the review sites that hated this game ever again.
The idea of shareplay is that you share play with someone you trust - a person who is a buddy who will look out for you. I don't think Sony ever intended it to be used in the manner in which this child did - giving it to a total stranger who turned out to be a malicious prick.
So a 1 for a game that is not broken...how can anyone take this review seriously? A 2 or a 3, okay explainable but this is just hate.
Right, just like I can't understand how people complain about how expensive things are and then smoke two packs a day.
I play COD just for the campaign and have never bothered with the multiplayer aspect so actually a 7 to 11 hour campaign as I will get here is a luxury.
You are a troll, simple. You write like one, probably look like one and therefore you just are. No, you take your BS elsewhere. Good thing about a site like this is that all your comments are there for everyone to check on.
If you are truly a PS4 owner then you should accept that some, many of us don't mind a shorter game provided the gameplay is worth it and by all accounts thus far it is. Life takes all sorts and so does gaming.
In the Gamepur review, the reviewer says he played on the normal difficulty for about ten hours so playing on the harder difficulty will take longer. In my opinion a third person shooter provides the best challenge and is more enjoyable at the harder difficulties so I am looking forward to a 11 - 12 hour session (or even longer if I am really bad).
The review also highly praises the game mechanics, the story and audio and confirm that quick time events are not that prevalent a...
Just wait until the game is out and then decide for yourself if it is worth buying. Articles like this do not give you any facts.
I agree with SCW1982 - this article puports to give us the real skinny but then just rehashes all the bullshit and also contradicts itself. Poor journalism or poor journalist, the end result is the same.
You sound as though you had played the game already. Have you or is this just conjecture?
Silly article, poorly written and wholly unnecessary. The author contradicts himself by saying "Only time will tell if Ready at Dawn’s upcoming shooter The Order: 1886 will be worth it" and then goes on to be just negative about the game and Ready at Dawn.
This kind of gaming journalism we can do without.
Part of the joy of waiting for games was wondering how it will turn out. Will the dev hit the mark or come close for fail miserably? This has been lost as we are now bombarded by too much information that, frankly, ruins the surprise.
To old codgers...
Sony has so much going on with PS4 that it is just possible that some numpty forgot to file the necessary papers. Sweet to think a multinational like Sony can do boo boos like a mom-and-pop store. Ah! their heart is in the right place - with the gamers. Now only if the other numpties just finish making 'The Last Guardian'...
I wonder what you consider as being better than average, any Xbone exlusive?
As a gamer who started playing in the 80's, I remember the days before the internet when games would be reviewed in gaming magazines. The reviews were usually published after the game had been released and the only pre-release information was usually a preview of the work-in-progress accompanied by screen grabs about 3 to 6 months before release. The reviews were way more accurate then they are now and the kind of bullshit we have seen with The Order:1886 was non-existent. I bought mos...
I own both the PS4 and the Xbone and even though I could buy this for the Xbone, I resent the fact that an IP that has been multiplatform through the years and in fact sold better on Playstation consoles is now being denied to those same gamers. This is not an exclusive made by a Microsoft studio but a title that is effectively being withheld from the majority in order to ensure that anyone who wishes to continue to enjoy Tomb Raider is forced to buy an inferior console. And, yes, the Xbone...
Both games look really good. I have no doubt they will be well worth the purchase price as both devs have excellent track records and these are both frontline Sony exclusives - they cannot afford to release mediocre games at this point, after a less than stellar 2014.
This could be the start of a phenomenal year for Sony and us gamers.
It is 'The Order:1886'
How do you know it has only 5 hours worth of gameplay? No where did the dev say that the game would be barebones just to see how it would sell. Don't buy it if don't want to but stop spreading bullshit like this.
The amount of bullshit the Order: 1886 has generated on most sites has been extraordinary. The game has been criticized from minor playthroughs and yet it looks so much better than any other game released on the PS4 or any other console so far and I cannot believe that a fine developer like Ready at Dawn is going to give us anything other than a quality game that is enjoyable on all fronts - the gameplay, graphics and fun. I pre-ordered it way back in June 2013 and I am looking forward to i...
I am playing The Order:1886 right now since 9 am (UK time)and I am writing this while my controller charges. I have been a gamer since 1984 and I know the difference between a great game, a good game, a mediocre game and a poor one. I can tell with certainity that The Order is a good game which could have been a great game had the devs done a few things differently but in no way does it deserve the scores it has gotten from some sites. It is, in my opinion, a game that should have got 75 - ...
