You clearly do not understand that this is not the same as PS4 and Morpheus. All Xbone is doing is streaming the game to the Rift via a PC which is viewed in a virtual screen. Pretty pointless!
The answer to the question is a resounding 'No'. Microsoft has realized that AR and Hololens(which last year was being touted as something special by MS) alone is not going to cut it in a marketplace where there are many VR brands on PC and only one on a console - Morpheus on the PS4. From next year any marketing for PS4 will include references to Morpheus and VR and Xbone starts to look far inferior to even a casual observer.
As usual this is a half-hearted corpora...
Sadly, I agree with the writer. From the content that has been confirmed, what EA and Dice are releasing is essentially 'Battlefield' in a Star Wars skin. I fear that real fans are in for major disappointment. Perhaps it is best not to pre-order but wait until the game is released before deciding whether to buy or not.
"The Xbox Cometh" - after over two years of missateps and cock-ups, it is about time! I applaud Xbox for tryng to pull out the big guns but it is delusional to think that a company like Sony, which has the largest collection of 1st party studios and some of the best, will be doing nothing this E3, especially considering that if it wants to remain as the best selling console it has to deliver on first party games and then some.
The fact is that both Xbox and Sony w...
"White straight young attractive males are the default" - maybe only in your mind or household, for the majority of the planet, the default is either Chinese, Indian, African or Latin South American.
We live on a planet where all races exist on every continent and games should reflect this. My fiance is Scandinavian and I am brown. I asked her what she thought of your statement and her reply was that you are delusional. I agree.
Good article - the writer is spot on in his assessment of both games and my own experience of playing Witcher 3 after finishing Bloodborne has been exactly the same. I found playing Witcher 3 more sedate, although I have just started it a couple of days ago. I miss the tension and total dejection followed by an unbelievable high when I finally defeat a boss that has been making mincemeat of me!
Witcher 3 is an excellent game but Bloodborne was that rarity that transcends ev...
This is such a poor article clearly written by someone who has no grasp or actual facts or can even be bothered to find out what the real situation is - that the Xbone is doing badly by comparison with the PS4 and has been doing badly since launch despite multiple price cuts, lots of free games and the demise of Kinect. It is as though the writer lives in a parallel reality where it is the PS4 that had all the problems and it is the Xbone had the great launch and has sold over 21m to date! ...
I remember playing the first two Doom games and loving how hard they were. Very few games have the tension and rawness that Doom excelled in. I still have the original Doom boxes and manuals with the floppies and later re-released CD discs and even though I can play the original Doom and mods on my PS3 and new PC, I cherish the memories playing Doom way back then when games were HARD!
I am glad this version of Doom 4 was not released. The devs should take a good look at the...
A company that pisses on personnel and the business model that made it successful will not last for long. Konami has made a fateful decision and I for one hope it gets the consequence it deserves. Hideo Kojima was and is a master and he is better off without Konami!
The author raises legitimate reasons as to why this cash grab should not denigrate the previous Star Wars Battlefront releases by calling itself "Star Wars Battlefront" and is right in suggesting that EA should not get any of his or our money. However, many will not heed this call and then wonder why companies like EA and Ubisoft continue to shaft gamers with release after release (in my opinion).
There are so many game releases this holiday season that most gamers...
That would make you "slippery butt", not a nice thought at all...
I actually was not at all happy about the DLC in TLOU and I am not one of "those" people. This was a discussion about downgrades and my reply was pertinent to the subject matter - no more, no less.
I was also making general comments about devs and did not make one specific comment about CD nor do I think they are the bad guys. They have not consistently misled gamers in the manner I think UBI and EA have in the past. I was merely commenting that in my opinion the...
It matters because we now need some honesty from developers as all the their antics in in recent games like Watchdogs, Evolve, Destiny, Driveclub, MCC Collection and Assassin's Creed Unity has shown a real disrespect of gamers and has affected how gamers now perceive some devs.
I will no longer pre-order unless it is a game by From or Naughty Dog and all my friends are now the same. The primary determinant of whether a game will be successful is the quality of gameplay f...
Okay article that has nothing to do with Sonic! It is always nice to revisit console history be it Sony, Microsoft or Sega but to me this article wants to make it seem like Sony's success is all PR created which is total bullshit. Any "fantastic stuff" for the gamer is primarily due to the wholesale rejection of the anti-consumer DRM policies Microsoft wanted to adapt as well as a superior console from Sony that focussed on gamers rather than trying to be all things and turnin...
I suspect "by a nose" in this case really means "by a landslide".
Your first comment is spot on - PS4 is winning on every front in every department. This is not fanboyism but just the truth. Microsoft has to acknowledge it and then try to do better as Sony did after faltering initially with the PS3.
Depends on personal preferences. Games can never be too long if they are well made and has well thought out gameplay ala Bloodborne, God of War 1, 2 & 3, The Last of Us, the very first Infamous and so on.
In the 80's and 90's, games would be really long and a short one was the exception! I would rather a long and enjoyable game then playing a 5 or 6 hr campaign.
The trailer just popped up in my e-mail from SE. Awesome! JC3 looks like it has much more of the zany and exhilarating gameplay that we all liked in Just Cause 2 and the graphics look lovely. Can't wait!
If the game lives up to expectations, it may well be the multiplat release of the holidays...
Please, is this the best the various COD devs can do these days? 'Advanced Wars' was better than 'Ghosts' which in my opinion was the worst COD game ever but this one just seems mediocre, from the graphics to the story.
Perhaps it is time to reboot the whole COD series and go back to WW2. There are plenty of campaigns that can be the background for new stories. Anything but the direction the various COD games are headed in.
This article is misleading. Sony has nothing like the clauses Microsoft has such as releasing on Xbone before or at the very least at the same time as on the competition. The fact is that most devs appreciate the way Sony interacts with them and does business. The truth is in the numbers!
There is NO integration - just streaming. This is a poor competitor to Morpheus and it comes off looking like a desperate move.
