And gamers do not just play during the holidays, I and most others would rather have releases that are spread throughout the year as there are plenty third-party games that will be available come the holidays.

Xbone offers external storage, the PS4 allows users to change the hard disk to larger storage sizes and it is so easy! You also seem to forget that Microsoft had draconian user policies which most consumers did not want. You seem to forget how MS used to emphasize how many multi-platform games looked better on the 360 even though it was because developers did not take the time to learn how to exploit what the PS3 had to offer and the differences were in many cases marginal. Last gen all we got were comparisons of multiplat games where the Xbox version was marginally better than the PS3 version and the fanboys were rubbing their hands in glee. This Pacter has to be the worst analyst in my opinion. He does even know that buying multi-platform games is NOT better on XB1 unless you want a cheaper price because of the poorer resolutions. Anyone who knows anything about consoles knows that the PS4 is the more powerful hardware and was actually priced cheaper than the XB1 until last year when Microsoft decided to gie huge discounts in order to shift stock.

My brother is living in Tokyo at this moment and he says that Bloodborne is eagerly awaited and there is a buzz about this game, a lot more so than others in the past. Retailers and stores like like SofMap are pushing Bloodborne heavily.

Agreed and this is why we need to lower expectations and wait for the results. I expect to be disappointed as EA in my opinion is more interested in extracting the most out of the least. It is not a question of hating a big corporation but more about the way recent games have been treated by EA that makes gamers wary.
