Agreed, every FFXIV article is bound to have someone going off about Versus XIII or some other FF game. Almost sad how predictable it is now.
Was just about to post that. I'm glad they understand the need of this feature.
Making White Knight into an MMO would be interesting to see them do it.
***SPOILER ALERT***
And the way it ended, Level-5 could easily make a third game. Rather it will sell well/be supported months after release with updates is a different story...
I see a lot of people throwing out a bunch of games, but honesty, I just want the SEGA I grew up with back.
I can't wait to play this game. I'm so looking forward to it's release. This and Last of Us are the next full purchases I will make since Ni no Kuni.
Curious, did they ever fix the framerate issues with the PS3 version? Since the DLC is out, I've been wanting to get the game back and playthrough it all, but don't want to experience to tech issues as I did when I first got it.
Funny, I JUST quit the game a few days ago. Was a good game but the community was just not the same as the early days and the game just lost it's appeal to me. Hopefully if White Knight 3 comes out on PS3/PS4, it will have better updating support, but then again, a lot of JP based online games NEVER get updates like it's Japanese counter parts do, nor do they every have the fanbase to warrant updating the servers. But we'll see what happens...
On another note, ...
To add to what you said, if the person who wrote this article played the game, he/she would know that they were just going to look at ruins, not expecting to have to get into battle. Last time I checked, I don't need armor and guns to look at ruins.
And yes, that's all these articles are to me as well is baiting for hits. I wish N4G had a way to filter out opinion articles.
+ Bubbs
This will only probably reach so many people, but there is a game-breaking bug in Tomb Raider where you can't advance through the game. Thankfully though, there is a work around it. I posted the video to show how it's done.
LIGHT SPOILER WARNING!!!

Other than that, love the game.
EDIT: Maybe someone can make a topi...
I'd have to agree about the graphics. I'm like 50% in the game and there are times when I have to stop to take in the scenery. I play it on PS3, and it has many times where it looks better than any game I've played. I would say it's on par with Uncharted 2/3 if not better looking. And of course the gameplay is solid as hell.
Looking at a game like Tomb Raider makes me think that next gen isn't needed yet.
Wasn't Starcraft II also an always online DRM game? I think it still sold/did very well, can't remember how it's launch went though.
I was about to say. Micro-transaction F2P games are all over PC.
Sucks it's only for EU, I wouldn't mind playing ME3 again to plat it, not to mention, I always wanted to get back into DoA.
Yeah I agree. The 1080p/30FPS that NEVER drops in FPS is what I've been hoping for the most coming into the next-gen with consoles. I just hope all games can keep to this standard.
It's funny to, because of all the essay long written debates/arguments I've seen so far in the comments, it all comes down to what you just posted, which is the ***end result***. I would of used Uncharted 2's footage to prove that it's the end result that matters, not who has the better this and that.
Really good article, I wish more articles like this would hit this site more often, instead of the typical "5 reasons to own a PS4" or what have you. This is the third article released that was actually WORTH reading through.
I see where you are getting at, I'm no tech expert, but with the way pricing and all is now, it would probably cost around $600-$800, (if you don't include the monitor(s) and Windows OS), maybe to get a PC right now that can run something similar to that Killzone demo. Like I said, I'm probably off in the pricing, but just a quick guess.
That article was a good read and basically explained the whole fixed system vs open system thing. I would say that's the o...
It's like 3 disagrees and you act like the entire site is pissed at the guy. Why do you guys even care so deeply about disagrees/agrees when it is basically an opinion. It's almost like the people on Reddit that trip over a down vote or two and write an essay on why they shouldn't have been down voted, lol.
I think the threat of PvP is somewhat of a bigger concern to FFXIV then anything else, IMO. That's one thing I really loved about FFXI is that literally 95% of the endgame was PvE content, while the rest was brenner/basllista. I'm hoping they keep it the same way and not follow suit to how everyone else is doing their MMOs. It's kind of the thing with devs. Everyone wants to copy the successful ones and end up being the same, which in turn makes them lose what made the unique ...
I'll check it out but not "crazy" about the reveal. Tbh, looks as good as BF3 did, just looking a little bit better here and there.
