Good shows, but it's the DRM, always online and a little of price of the system and online fees that kill it for me. So far, IMO, it's Sony's day to shine.

Agreed, better than I excepted. I think the thing that hurt MS the most is the pricing, and if the policy of DRM and what not still stands, it's going to be a hard sell. IMO, Sony got this, as long as they don't screw up.
I wonder if they will pack all this content in the US/EU version come release, because if not, then it will be Phantasy Star Universe all over again where US/EU is like 2-3 years behind in content compared to Japan, which is one of the main reasons people stop playing the game in the first place.
lol man, it's like 2 disagrees and even then... I'll never understand why people trip over that noise, but this deal looks nice for me, I haven't played XCOM yet, and wouldn't mind seeing what they've changed to UC3.

I don't like some of the things on the details, but at the same time, I understand/don't mind the others. The big take away is no renting and the 24 hour check. I use Gamefly/Redbox A LOT when a bunch of games come out in a given time, but they say they might change that, so we'll see. The 24 hour thing is okay I guess (for me) My internet is pretty stable and the most it's ever gone out was for 1 or 2 hours.

I'm still amazed how they have yet to shut MAG down. During some hours, it can be hard to get Sabo going and domination only happens during AM hours when the Japanese get on, (JP players pretty much make up of 100% of domination now in MAG).

They've most likely invested to much time and money with optimizing the PS3 version to just cut it at this point, and with the recent video, it looks to be paying off very well when running on PS3. Not to mention, the whole thing with FFXIII's FFXIV beta code access that came with the game if you bought it at launch, leaving those people behind like that would look really bad on their side.
I'm sure if the game is successful enough that they will make a PS4 port....
Online/offline co-op story campaign should be a must for FPS's like Killzone, especially for next gen titles.

It's impressive the improvements they have made to the PS3 version, given the time between part 1 and part 2 of these videos in just 3 months. Just wish they would announced when Phase 3 starts up and when the beta client for PS3 will be up.
I wonder how many people are going to do that too. Seeing to how these new consoles might be limited, it would be smart. I remember this guy I knew did that with the 360 launch. Bought like 10 of them, and sold them all for 300ish more when they were high demand, yet sold out everywhere.

I think it would be a good move on MS, as well as SE, for having it on the next Xbox. Would really make me consider getting a next Xbox if that was the case. Of course, unless they announce a PS4 version for XIV, but since they've invested so much into the PS3 version... Idk...

I'm not tech savy at all when it comes to this. Is DF saying that is a bad thing or a good thing that it's using 3-4 gigs of memory?
I understand the whole business side to it all about why it is on PS3, but I still feel in the end that I would of rather Sony/PD of saved this for a PS4 title instead and make the most of it being on next gen tech. But maybe they will do a GT 7 prologue or maybe even something new on PS4. Guess we'll just have to wait and see...
