Agreed. Let's just hope it's a stable and constant 30 though. I think somewhere in the live letter he said that PS4 still had some optimization to go through or maybe he was talking about the Vita remote play.
Either way, we'll find out come Feb.
It would still be cheaper most likely to grab now for $10 and upgrade to PS4 for free instead of waiting for the PS4 version which will probably be around $29.99 or $39.99, (just my guess). Not to mention, you can get a head start with your character and see if you would even like the game.
I know some people that have families that play the game. I also played FFXI for a long time, trust me when I say the grind in XIV is NOTHING compared to FFXI.
No FFXIV :(
I'm glad they finally said something about the PS4 version. I'm very curious to see how the game will run on PS4 mainly performance wise. I'm sure they'll crank the graphics up, but if the framerate is bad, then it would all be in vain. I'm expecting good stuff though, if I base the PS4's potential off of BF4.
With that said, I CAN NOT WAIT until they release the game on PS4. I'm hyped to be able to live stream the game and upload clips of even...
Hell, being in the PS4 beta of FFXIV would be all I needed if I was in Japan.
I don't even see the problem in this, unless you plan to play both here and there, which still wouldn't even make sense to do that. I'm pretty sure most people that are going to be upgrading to the PS4 version will do it for the better performance, graphics and social abilities of the PS4 version. It wouldn't make sense to want to go back to something that is inferior to that.
Tbh, people should be happy that you can even upgrade for free. Back in FFXI, yo...
Yeah, it's interesting how that worked out with the whole PSN pre-orders from 13th-15th getting the game for free, and now this for free.
I really didn't expect them to let people upgrade for free like that, but there you go. I'm guessing it's mainly because the sub fee is what's making them the money, so they can take a hit on that.
It looks like IGN has their PS3 settings at default factory settings, (hence the washed out look). I've been playing since beta 3 and will say overall that footage is pretty close to what the PS3 version looks/runs like, (if you take out the washed out look).
More the problem is just the frame rate and things taking a while to load when you're running around. It's near impossible to do fates with more than 35 people in it. It's pretty obvious that a PC with...
I don't know about "ass", but it look pretty stable 30 fps to me, which is all I want. Let's wait until release to judge.
She LOVES the game, you know it!
I'll wait and see the footage myself before getting to hyped, but this is good to see.
Is it me or does the Killzone MP footage look 60 fps or at least above 30?
I would think so, there's always the chance of it being staged and what not, but I would like to think overall that this is the real deal we'll get. I was really hoping that Sony would of given a good amount of time to cover the UI functions and how everything works.
Something missing though was the ability to take over your friend's game. Maybe because he was in the live streaming section and not the friend's section, but I wonder when they'll show mo...
Who ever was in charge of the camera needs to be FIRED ASAP!!! I don't understand why we need to see the audience every 5 secs when they have a perfect camera stream on the trailer itself.
Agreed with Bigpappy a little more on this one. For me though, the main thing I wanted to see is your choices having more of an effect in from origins ---> DA2 ---> DA3. But if DA 2 is any indication of how 3 will be... then Idk. There's more to say on this matter, but wayyy to tired to get into it.
I'll reserve my judgement and wait to play before I say anything.
Tbh though, Dragon Age 2 was somewhat of a more dynamic combat system compared to DA: O. In DA: O, you always knew the enemy was in front of you when you were fighting. DA 2 pretty much made it to where enemies flank, come from different directions and want not, (they just did it a really lazy way of sending wave after wave or random spawning enemies). You had to always move your party around taking advantages of choke points and what not, (speaking of Nightmare gameplay of course).
Hopefully it's true that it can just write straight to your HDD. I plan to install a 1 TB Hybrid drive in my PS4 when I get it, so I'll be more than happy to see this as true news.
... What?
Dam, thought this was PS3-digital. I really hope they make a PSN digital version of the game.
It really is sad seeing it too. Back then it was all about Blu-ray disc vs DVD. Now it's 30fps = suck and 60fps = good. So then games like Last of Us, Ni no Kuni and Demon's Souls must have sucked right? Stupid.
