There is a rumor that HHGregg will give away HD DVD players with any flat panel sale coming up next month. Free player will be the HD A3.
BB is suppose to be doing something similar like CC and Wal-mart.
My guess Target will just fall in line as well.
Wii Sports is not bundled in Japan. It sells for around $40 US over there.
Are you talking CE support or Consumer Electronics support.
CE link has been in every Tosh product since the A1 player.
CE support is from HP/Acer/Venturer/Integra/Toshi ba/Microsoft 360 add on/Samsung (combo units)/LG (combo units)
I think you do have a choice.
I have to disagree with the always 1080p for BD. We have a BDPS300 player(demo model) that will only do full 1080p through Sony cables only. We had a $100 AR cable on it an...
Ever thought they may have ran out of cent numbers or hadn't put them in before the photo was taken?
And yes you can run out of certain size numbers during this time of the yr.
It's true. Two wal-marts in my area have the same display, as of today.
First, of all Wally World doesn't sell a 1080p tv in store.
Second, most HD TV's sold are 720p/1080i tv's.
Wal-mart is targeting their demographic.
Target lists the Wii Attach rate at 4.0-4.5 on avg.
You know that PC mag article is over 5 months old now.
Now where is that extra storage!
We need it for those Turbo CD games and Neo Geo games.
Don't care about DTS HD or Dolby HD.
To even get that sound..you need:
A certified DTS HD/Dolby HD 7.1 receiver..thats at least $300.
Klipsch 7.1 sys which is approx $800-2,000.
Don't forget about some monster HDMI cables and speaker wires/sub cable.
To hear the difference you need a system that costs around $1,500 to $4,000.
Otherwise your not going to hear it on a reg 5.1 sys.
For most folks thats a lot. Besides tha...
Must buy for me.
"The human eye, at any particular instant, can perceive contrast ratio over a range of 400:1 to 10,000:1 according to numerous references. However, the human eye is a dynamic organ and can adjust, both chemically and via iris movement, over some 30 minutes in steady light conditions to perceive higher contrast ratios of up to between 1,000,000:1and 10,000,000:1. One can think of the eye as an adaptive detector. Age is a factor influencing what contrast ratio might be perceived by the par...
What some fail to realize about 45 days ago you could not even find a second gen HD DVD player in store. For about 30-45 days you could not find a A2 or A20 in store. I expect the numbers to equalize now as the new 3rd gen HD DVD players are now in store and are selling well. We currently sell the A30 for $329.99 with the BI and 300 bundle. We do a BDPS300 for $399.
Toshiba hurt themselves when they short supplied retail stores and then couldn't deliver the 3rd gen players ...
Tell that to Ubisoft, EA, T2, and Capcom.
I promise you the Wii will keep on selling way into next yr.
Nintendo will hit it's goal of over 14 mil. sold by Dec.
I wonder if those numbers include all the 300's bundled with 3rd gen Toshiba players?
In HD DVD 300 came out in a combo ver and bundle ver(only with HD side).
Actually, BB still rents HD DVD in certain stores and it still rents via the internet.
Movie Gallery/Hollywood Video will be the big change in rentals and as far as I know they plan on supporting both.
I'm sorry fan tastic, but Sony does the samething. 5 free disc's with purchase of BD or PS3.
Toshiba has the bundle pack and 5 disc deal going on.
Everyone is doing promo's.
I sale both everyday.
To me this movie was bad, but I did like the cute girls in it.
I would only rent this movie...but thats me.
I don't know about this.
When I had folks ask about the PS3..mom's and dad's have asked me if it was BC with the old PS2 games.
Like me and friends I have around 30+- PS2 games.
Without BC you've just got the PS3 lib/online games and a movie player.
Without BC...you might as well just get the 60GB or 80GB systems and just be done with it.
I just can't see the value in a 40GB PS3 without BC. Maybe for a movie player..but then I would just buy a BDPS300 for...
The $198 A2 at CC and WM is for all those folks that buy Vizio, Westinghouse, and Olevia's.
I work for HHG and I know we sell a ton of those Olevia's to folks on the cheap.
We currently can't keep the HD A3 and A30 in stock. We sell out pretty regularly.
