I guess Sony got through with it's Pre-Sales..now the sales will drop off big just like it did in the states.

I know the previews of it showed the graphics were on par with Halo 2.
I have a feeling those graphics just got tweaked up abit more.
1. It's only cheap because they kept out the DVD player and HD. Also all ages buy the Wii. I've sold more Wii's to folks in their 20-30's then to any small - large families.
2. If the Wiimote isn't next-gen then I don't know what is.
3. Give it 6-9 months then compare graphics. Most games now are just ports from the GC.
4. Take away most 1st party games from any console and it can turn to garbage rather quickly. If MS wouldn't have bought...
If Sony would include dualshock and drop the price $100 bucks then more folks would defiantly buy! (maybe even include a 80GB HDD too)
At least DS owners can import if we want this title! hehe

Folks talk like this is a bad thing.
If it works like the DS then you only need your friends code if you want to play against/with them.
If you want it to match you up it will and can. I recently did this with YuGiOh Tournament 2007.
It only took a few seconds to match me up based on my criteria.
Nintendo is paying a company to develop the Wii's DVD play-back software and that DVD video logo also costs money to license from it's patent holders. So it does cost them something.
Remember most folks don't use their consoles to play DVD's anymore...well at least I hope not.
Not with DVD players in the 20-40 buck range!
As for online play it'll happen in June and the games will come along with third party support.
I totally agree! If your a real hardcore gamer you play a lot of games and usually not on one sys.
A hardcore gamer back in the day was someone that spent day and night at the arcades and then at home playing his or her Atari, NES, C64 and those that import games and import consoles.
I still hit the arcade with $20-30 bucks to spend!
I currently have 9 Wii games and 3 VC games. The Wii gets 1-4 new games per week so there is no shortage of games with man...
Or will third party dev have an online game out before this?
If you want a real Blu-ray or HD DVD player just buy an LG hybrid unit that plays both formats.
At least then your not out cast if one format fails.
To have great games you need to make your console as open as it can be and not out price indi developers.
I doubt they are holding back anything. Remember the Nintendo only has Foxconn to make them. While the 360 has 3 suppliers making consoles for MS.
Foxconn is making over 1 million units a month now and it still can't meet demand.
It also doesn't help stores like Wal-Mart, TRU, Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City have all been holding out Wii's for Sunday sales. At Target they usually get a shipment of Wii's every week around 20-30 units.

Well we all know the DVD enabled Wii is coming this fall.
What we don't know is what Nintendo has in it's Hardware roadmap.
Rumors are still flying around about wireless nunchucks and zapper gun attachments for this yr.
I think Nintendo will eventually go HD, but it won't be for another yr or so.
Nintendo is waiting for the rest of the public to go HD before they do.
It might be true. Hell a month ago Kojima said he wanted to make MGS game on the Wii as well.
Hell he helped get Snake into the SSBB game.
I'm sure it won't be the same as the PS3's, but I could see a ver. going to the PS3 and 360.
People need to realize Konami wants money.
More consoles in the market place equals better chance at selling your games to the public.

It rules over anyone from the 80-90's era.
Now if Nintendo would only include more VC's like the Sega Saturn, Sega CD, Dreamcast, 3DO, and some Atari consoles it would be the bomb.
