According to VCchartz everyone dropped this last week except for the PS2 which went up about 9% over the week before.

Your right about the BDP-S300. I've had some BD customers tell me the exact same thing and they plan on waiting until after X'mas to upgrade their players.

I can confirm that HHGregg will be supporting HD DVD.
I asked about this at our last SE regional sales meeting.
Basically, the new A3($299) and A30($399) will be carried and possibly the A35($499).
Currently, we sell the A20 for $349.97 our best seller when it comes to HD and BD stand alones.
We also sell the BDPS3000 ($499), but we only get a few of them in since they move slow for us.
This game just gets better and better as time goes on.
I'm tired.

My point is the DVD orig had almost zero extra content.
So why would I buy a HD or BD ver? For better picture and audio on a movie thats a decade old, I don't think so!
Not, when you can just up-scale and buy the DVD9 movie for $6 bucks or less.

Maybe thats because Mario Party 8 was already too far along to add in online play. I would say more then half of the games getting released this fall has some kind of online play or content. If you want a MP with online play wait till next yr with MP9.

I'm picking up the HD DVD/DVD combo disc.
But it said it was being promoted over HD which isn't the case.
Sony and Target do deals like this every qtr.
MS and Nintendo do similar dealings, but just not as frequent as Sony.
Basically, if we don't put up the end-caps by Sony's deadline and to their specifications...our specific store gets fined and is charged for all product they sent for that end-cap. I've spent a many hr working on Sony end-caps at our Super Target. Ask any Target Elec Dept Manager(TL) ...
Well I said it before, it looks to be a Sony promo for X'mas. Target does deals like this every X'mas.

Nintendo reported makes about $40-50 bucks off each console sold.
So thats more like 20-17% profit earned.
For example most Apple products have a 33-20% markup over cost.
The iPod is in that 30% range while the iMac is in that 20% range.
