Why is it MS?
If anyone paid anyone it was Toshiba since they have the most to lose in this venture.
If MS did anything recently it was with Disney since HD Disney movies are coming to XboxLive.
Will that open the door to HD DVD Disney movies? Who knows??
I say it's 50/50 right now because Disney is waiting on Apple to make it's move...and then they will follow just like they did on iTunes movie DL's.
Wow, I actually predicted this earlier this morning...kinda funny reading about his retracted statements now.
I predict this happening:
1. MB apoligizes because he's already obligated for Transformers 2 or he gets more money.
2. Paramount hires another director.
3. No Transformers 2 movie for awhile.
I want a sequel, but very seldom do we see sequels do as well as the first.
Word on the street is Disney is going format neutral later this yr or early next.
This comes from our Toshiba Rep. that just visited. Apple's Steve Job(on Disney's Board of Directors) is pushing for this as Apple is also going format neutral this fall and winter.
From my understanding both Disney and Fox are getting the work over from Toshiba and HD DVD community to go exclusive or go format neutral.
I can really see Disney going format neutral due to the Apple i...
Are you hardcore enough?
You sound like an elitist with an agenda.
Now tell me how Mass Appeal is a bad thing?
Especially for companies wanting to make a profit. (which they all do)
You can still use the old GC controller in SSBB.
Not really a port when you consider the makers even say this is the definitive version of the game.
The same was said about Scarface for the Wii.
Basically the Wii gets directors cut versions of games..more or less.
Thats why I shop at Target and Wal-Marts for stuff like this.
My guess for the locked DVD playability is:
First, no play back software..which would add cost to the console.
Second, they would have to license every Wii to play DVD's which also adds cost to the console.
I notice blur on almost all LCD's except on the upper range models.
$4k+ models.
I don't see any blur on the new Samsung FPT plasma's.
But I do on the older models and some of the older Panasonics and Hitachi's and Toshiba's.
Dragon just go to a HHGregg and get that tv for $3,800
I've sold two of them for that price.
The new Samsung FPT 50" plasma displays blows away the new 52 Sharp and Super Clear Panel Samsung LCD's.
x.v. color isn't a issue unless your tv supports it.
So unless you own a new Sony or Mitsubishi you probably don't have it.
I sold a Bravia and a MITS that supported x.v color today.
If you want to see colors go check out the new Super Clear Panel 52" Samsung's.
The image is so clear and defined the actors look almost 3D from the background.
I actually love CM, so I'll get this one too.
It's one of the few games I really enjoyed on the Wii because it deals with cooking themes.
I think they do. I saw this at 6AM and it blew my mind this morning.
Well I have a Wii now, but I'm getting a 360 sometime soon.
I was just waiting for the new processor update.
My Top 5:
1. SSBB
2. BW 2
3. RE: UC
4. Galaxy
5. NIGHTS
---------
6. MP3 C
7. No More Heroes
8. RRR 2
9. MH 2
10. TH Proving Grounds
To sell HD/BD standalone players you first need to sell more HD TV's.
Every time I sell a HD TV I try to sell a HD or BD player with it.
My attach rate is currently 60%. Ask most folks and they want 1080p content for that new $3,500.00, 52", LCD Samsung they just bought.
I sell more HD DVD players due to price point.
$250 for the A2 and $350 for the A20.
We're making room for the new A3, A30, and A35 players.
Here's what you get.
Corruption trailer gives your story and overview
Bridge Fight trailer gives you a combat overview.
You also get a new screen shot samus, if you hit the blinking button on the main screen.
On Aug 13th two more trailer's release:
Aurdra and Spider Ball
DLC for MP3 C???
I hope so.
Sounds like an estimate. The WB figures will be far more accurate.
I can't even find a copy of 300 in HD around here.
Maybe they didn't stock enough or it just sold out fast.
In the end it's all about the money. If he gets paid enough he won't care about formats...especially if it's enough to finance any new movie idea he has. I know I wouldn't because in the end the consumer decides what they buy and what they don't buy.
