It also adds APU power from intergrated graphics on your AMD or Intel APU. I'll get a ~10% power boost with my 770 lol.
Looks fantastic on XBO until you start moving and see that 30fps with motion blur and horrible AA. GTA 'next-gen' is actually the reason I bought a new PC, sick to death of the compromises.
Anyone guess if GTA Online on PC will have the same graphics as single player? Don't even play Online it's that bad comparatively.
You who are putting conditions on what you think DLC should be, a few add-ons by definition is still DLC.
That said, I do agree with what you're saying regarding substansial DLC that actually adds a chunk of new content. I gladly paid for TLoD and TBOGT, and would do so again.

I havn't renewed my subscription this year due to family gold and I rarely play XBO online anyway. One thing does piss me off is 'family gold' users can't get GOLD deals or free games. [expletive] em, Steam FTW.
I bought GTA on both generation consoles (overall it's the best game ever made IMO). I'll buy a third time on sale, as you said future-proof.

PC has tens of thousands of games (plus all older console games via emulators) and around 700 million players. It's frankly laughable how deluded you are.
You clearly were not reading information objectively. Everything about XBO screams DX12. 32MB eSRAM for tiled resources is the most obvious hardware feature... notice how nobody calls it a bottleneck anymore? That's because Playground Games made the first ever console game using Forward+ rendering.. which achieved 1080p with 4xMSAA.
No Kool-Aid required for D3D12, it's what the Xbox was designed for, clear as day. Also, that doesn't change the fact that the PS...

They paid for a very similar (if not the same) CPU, and a smaller GPU (on paper 50% less powerful).
So you're telling me, as an Xbox owner, that MS paid 3 billion dollars so my Xbox is not weaker than the competitiors, yet almost every single game has been weaker... the 3 OS functionality must just be a byproduct of the superior and balanced SoC design. ...

Virtually all new AAA PC games are DX11 (newest ones DX11.x), and I fully expect the same for DX12, also the vast majority of the PC community are going to upgrade to Win10 as it's free (and much better than W8).
So a (PC/PS) indie dev who can't afford to start upgrading their API mid-development uses...
I'll watch this tomorrow, and look forward to improvements in future games... however I do not expect DX12 to suddenly make Xbox more powerful than PS, this is unrealistic, as I think the high R&D cost was for the ALL IN ONE functionality. The TV stuff had to cost a lot (which I enjoy daily).
My real excitement for DX12 is using all my i7 cores in games, going to be some epic improvements.

Able to stream Xbox games to devices crap PCs and other devices. Play against PC players so more active users. Far more PC games coded in DX12 coming to Xbox. Able to socialise with PC gamers through your Xbox.
Will be great for Xbox gamers with PC, although I'll probably still use PC most still happy to see the intergration. Hope they bring PC to Xbox streaming.

Yea I'm the same, most of the time is still spent on console, I don't think I'll ever stop playing them. And yea it nice to be able to use PC when I'm in the mood for a bit more.
