...they just don't know how to do it. It's that simple. The AI here is no difficult than the AI in Assassin's Creed (Which is difficult and can be done on PS3), I've seen the vids and watched the collision AI in action it's just like Assassin's Creed in that regard.
SC:C is completely different to the other games in the series, I liked the new form of stealth in Conviction where you have to mix in with the crowd, but once again Assassin's Creed has it already and so does Cipher...
We've had some demos, actually the recent HS downloads reaction for me sounds exactly the same as the Bioshock demo reaction for a lot of you 360 guys. I was going to just rent HS until I played the demo and watched the 'making of' vid but now it's a 1st day purchase for me.
PS3 has only been out for 4 months here in the UK so I would expect more demos on the 360 to be honest. Anyone with a brain could work that one out.
Just goes to show how intent the publishers are in signing a game that'll sell rather than signing a game for it's creative flair alone. Glad Bioshock made it through and has come out the other side to prove those guys wrong lol, it will sell (dunno how well) and from what I've seen is a rather creative FPS.
2008 is the year of the PS3. Those waiting for the price to drop will get their wish, and the sales will rocket when the big games are released, MGS4 and GT5 for example. I know a lot of people that want a PS3 but say it's too pricey. Some have said they'll wait a year then get one. Some say they don't need a PS3 yet, they have their PS2 and PC until the price drops.
So I think next year if we see a global price drop (This time including Europe), I don't think we'll be seeing n...
Timesplitters is a truly sweet game. I always loved the map/mission editor. People say Future Perfect wasn't as good as TS2 but I had a lot of fun in multiplayer with my mates. TimeSplitters got me started with the console FPS's and the others kept me hooked! Dunno what my first ever PC FPS was...
Can't wait for TS4!
Awesome game online! I also had loads of fun in offline co-op when I first got my PS3. Have only just got round to playing through the single player (got my PS3 just over a month ago), since I completed it on co-op I get to play with all the new guns too, max difficulty FTW lol.
A great first game for any PS3 newcomer. This and Motorstorm should be in a PS3 gamer's collection for sure. Then there's the Fall line-up that'll hit our wallets hard.
Resistance 2 will ...
Yeah okay so I couldn't resist a title like that but I honestly feel that it's deserving of a 10/10 for a game of it's type. HS is huge, from watching the 'making of' video from PSN it's obvious that this game is the product of tons of effort on an international scale.
After watching that vid this game went from a 'possible purchase/rental' to a '1st day purchase/pre-order', now I can't wait to sit down and play through the whole thing!
So rather than a decision-...
I've had it for almost 2 months now and no problems at all. I'm not just talking about system critical problems but problems in general with it's operation and nada, not a thing wrong.
Proves the theory of 'you get what you pay for' really doesn't it. I wouldn't have bought a PS3 if I didn't trust Sony, I don't mind paying more for a more reliable system. Unfortunately for MS, I don't trust the 360 one bit, so even a lower price tag wouldn't sway me.
It's always nice to get some new IP's...
Only ones I wanna see from that list are HL2:Orange Box, Skate and MoH:Airborne. Looking forward to seeing the new PSN games and more of Haze too...
Unless a lot of the people here have been living under a rock (not likely considering we're all members on this here news site lol) it's become quite a trend for multiplatform games to suffer problems in PS3 developement when it's not actually the PS3's fault at all...
The 360 has been out for almost 2 years now and if you add an extra year or so on for pre-launch development it seems quite obvious to start development on the more familiar system, and then do a 'straight-forwar...
He said in his opinion he felt it was true, not the opinion of PSU, but it still keeps the rumour alive...
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Sony end up helping Rockstar out in terms of increased development support and possibly funding.
Just wait and see though is what I say...
Guitar Hero controllers may not work with Rock Band.
Sorry to burst your bubble but in the next gen world you don't need batteries, it charges from the PS3 via USB. Or course wireless controllers on 360 need batteries...
...HDDVD would have a lot more support behind it than Blu-ray does.
I don't get what MS is trying to pull by saying 360 guys get more choice by having to buy the HDDVD add-on? That makes no sense. Why not provide it in the box (for free) and give them the choice of whether or not they want to use it? Oh hold on that's what Sony have done, you pay for the PS3 and it's capabilities and get a blu-ray player in-built.
You don't have to buy the more expensive BD for t...
Ninja Theory have done amazingly well considering this funding problem. Then again Ninja Theory went international to help make Heavenly Sword, though it was still UK based, the US support helped a lot.
I say good luck to Ninja Theory and also well done on Heavenly Sword!
I've heard that statement a lot over the past few years and haven't actually believed it until now. Gaming truly is the future and the government should be backing it more.
Currently people see gaming as something kids or loners do, yet all of a sudden having a MySpace or Facebook account is cool and those that don't have one are missing out??? What's up with that... Well gaming is exactly the same imo, those that have never played a game are missing out big time.
Jealousy reveals itself is some rather odd ways...
Can't really base a score on the 2 min long demo tbh. I know what you're saying though. I think it'll get an 8/10 at least. If the story and cutscenes are taken into account along with gameplay, graphics, etc etc I think a 9 is more likely so the 10/10 isn't impossible...
This is what I've wanted in terms of a skateboarding game since THPS went sour after the 4th iteration.
I want to have to learn my tricks rather than just press a few buttons to do it. I used to skate (for real) and learning how to ollie is actually the toughest skill for a fresh skater to master but the THPS games told wannabe skaters that it was as easy as pressing the X button, the THPS series brought along new skaters (Which was good) that got frustrated because it was hard...
