I've never had to do that. Always have my controllers wireless and charge them after playing.
My Brother was attempting to play Hitman: Blood Money when the screen saying it's not compatible came up. The game worked before the update, so just wondering what the extent of this playability update is...
I know Sony said they will slowly move away from the PS2 games on PS3 and focus on the PS3 being for PS3 games. So I was expecting it. I have a PS2 though so obviously I can still play Hitman...
Just wondering if anyone else has had problems with PS2 games th...
Do you think it'd be easier with a PS3 controller? Closer sticks and all.
I haven't played it but just wondered what you thought after playing with the 360 controller. I've heard that the staggered sticks can make pulling off complex tricks a bit more difficult.
Haven't you thought about the possibility that because multiplat games have to be the same for both consoles they have to restrict the amount of improvements. The PS3 can do a whole lot better but obviously the game can't be improved for one console more than the other because that'd be biased developing for a multiplatform game.
Does Killzone 2 look better than the 360 games? Yes it does because the PS3 is capable of better. The whole point of multiplat games is they shouldn't...
Warhawk is AAA
It's like Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander. Supcom isn't a sequel though it's meant to be the spiritual successor of TA. Same thing with Bioshock...
Just because the Wii has sold the most doesn't negate the PS3 as the most powerful console. The Wii has sold loads because it's cheap and is seen to the casual audience as a trendy gadget.
By all means the sales don't make the Wii the best console around. because technically it definately isn't, but it makes it look that way. Look past the sales figures and look at what you get for your money, then look back a few years and you'll see that even the N64 can beat the Wii graphica...
You just have to learn how to play it. The thing is no one seems to want to learn things anymore. They just want to pick up a game and become the god of that game in the first few moments. Lair is something new and if you don't have the brain power to learn something new then that's just plain sad.
For example, all FPS games are pretty much identical with the control schemes and are easy to pick up and play because everyone knows the controls from previous FPS's. Along comes La...
There is one difference which I think has got people believing the ground textures on the PS3 look better. The PS3 version was slightly (and I mean SLIGHTLY) brighter, when you look at the two red arches at the end of the vid you'll see the difference, which highlighted the ground more. Thus giving the textures a more glossy look. Seriously though, who's gonna be picking out details like that while playing with mates, "Oh yeah, guess what, the ground textures in this section look better ...
This has to be the first thread without 360 fanboys being able to come up with anything negative for this feature. Of course MART uses reviews to make up a negative comment even though a lot of the PS3 guys that actually have the game are enjoying the experience.
As I've said many times before, after the Bioshock meta 100's, I don't trust reviews anymore. I used to take reviews quite seriously and place my money in their hands so to speak, but since Bioshock ruined the review s...
I wouldn't go spurting off about the 360 kicking the PS3's ass. The 360 was the only competitor in a 1 man race and everyone's saying 'We're winning, we're winning'. Well of course you're winning, you were the only one in the race for an entire year. Boasting about that is just embarrasing. Above all else the PS2 was (and is) still outselling the 360. If people wanted next-gen at the time of the 360's release they would have ditched the PS2 option and all gone for the 360, but they didn't, th...
'Heavenly Sword was no killer ap'
Ummm it hasn't been released yet. And it is a killer ap, got 9 on average from the reviews. I haven't seen a review lower than a 7 *Waits for someone to reply with a link*.
Heavenly Sword comes out in two weeks and I can't wait!
As for no good games... Warhawk is THE game to beat in terms of multiplayer. Before you say 'Halo 3 is better as it will outsell everything', sales don't make a game good they just make a g...
Blu-Ray games are region free. BD aren't region free by default. I could buy a US PS3 game when it comes out and play it on my UK PS3. The only reason I don't do that is because the game comes out just 2 days later over here.
What do you mean sales in Europe and Japan mean squat? There are more regions than just the USA Region 1 you know... The region coding is exactly the same as it was for DVD's in terms of movies. For games there is no region locking and you can moves games ...
Bioshock came out and all the reviewers broke their fingers typing 1's and 0's. Now Lair comes out and they can't use the controls. Hmmm I see a pattern here. lol jk
I think the reviewers see Lair as a game trying something new. If the option to control the dragon with the sticks was available it'd get 9's, but then it wouldn't be innovative at all. I'd rather have an innovative game that takes skill to master than a carbon copy game that's been done before and is too easy.

Reviews have gone crazy since Bioshock and that's because the review system is now officially BS for the rest of this year thanks to the Bioshock reviews. Not because Bioshock is a bad game but because it got perfect 10's everywhere and the reviewers just blanked at the negatives of the game.
The reason it's BS from now on is that if Halo 3 comes out just a tiny bit better than Bioshock it should now get a perfect 10 instantly. If COD4 is just a tad better it should now get a p...
I have a UK 60GB PS3 which is the same in terms of BC as the 80GB model is and it runs PS2 and PS1 games fine.
This BC issue is odd as there is no issue. The 80GB doesn't have the Emotion Engine but that's because emulation works just as well. You're not missing out on anything with the 80GB model BC-wise.
I call bull on that. The devs were talking about the tech used in Killzone 2 would be close to impossible to recreate on a competing system. Of course it could fit if you used more discs, but the tech used in the game (being processed by the Cell) would be very difficult to do on 360 as the game has been designed for PS3.
Design a game so specifically for one system, you have to redesign that game to work on any other system. Want the game? You'll have to wait a long long time ...
As far as I know, Gears of War had large framerate drops. A lot of things have framerate drops guys lol, both PS3 and 360.
This should get a 10 as a multiplayer only game, just like Bioshock got a 10 for being a singleplayer only game.
Thing is Bioshock had the hype Warhawk didn't. That influences reviewers, if you had 'This game is AAA 10/10' throw at you day in day there's no doubt that has an influence.
Not discrediting Bioshock, it's superb, but if Warhawk is to be reviewed as a 3rd person shooter/flight sim game and the lack of SP let it down? Then Bioshock should have been revi...
The in-game XMB is the one thing I've heard consistantly everywhere I go atm. They're working on implementing it, with the ability to play music in games to follow soon after if enough people want that added (Unless they have that done for 2.0 already). I think Home will be the biggest thing that comes from 2.0 though, the in-game XMB is necessary imo in order to be able to switch from game to settings, to your message box, back to the game and also to Home if you want.
I'm loo...
