I've never liked the Wii and I'll probably never like in the future. Innovation is good for the gaming industry, but you have to keep the standard up across the board. The Nintendo Wii has been bought to play WiiSports by the majority of the buyers and is brought out once in a while when friends come over as it's something to do.
The Wii is a toy imo. You can design an innovative form of controller and introduce a new way to play games, but you have to make sure the console's h...
The PS3 can hold it's own in the multiplatform arena now and in the future it can only get better. These pics are proof of that I think.
I'm not pissed off, I own a PS3 (I do not own a 360 in case you were wondering) so I don't see how fanboyism comes into this here. I was just saying that from what I saw in the pictures at first glance there wasn't a lot of difference, and there isn't.
I'm a PS3 fan and I honestly believe the PS3 will overtake the 360 in the multiplatform visuals department in the near future (If this isn't already proof of that).
I dunno if what I said before came across as thou...
I'll be quite happy to be proved wrong on my previous point lol. I want an impressive game from Timeshift. It's been a long time coming.
First FPS to include it for both online and campaign mode. Nice touch to the genre. Co-op is fun, but 4 player co-op is better...
The gameplay elements make this different to other FPS's that are all about 'collect a big gun, fire, frag someone, move on'. Haze is a little different which is nice to see, the Nectar overdose thing is the most interesting element imo. Make them overdose and sit back and watch a frenzied blind fire-fight, top notch!
Are you going to be inspecting the bricks and the fences when you're gunning around in a blaze of time bending action?
No I didn't think so...
They look the same. PS3 version will be coming out in December, can't wait! This is one game I will definately be buying this year for my PS3!
For those worrying about the 80GB PS3 not having Backwards compatability... it has exactly the same BC as the 60GB model does. It just uses integrated software instead of the emotion engine (EE). It'll be exactly the same as the 60GB model in terms of BC so don't worry guys if all the 60 gigs are gone cos you'll still get to play those PS2 games on your PS3 with the 80 gig model!
On the capacity side-note, 60 Gigs is plenty of space for DLC and game saves too. In case you're wo...
I don't think that's the actual art though...
The 360 price drop may be great out there in the US and Canada, but isn't that where the 360 calls home already? Where it's sold tons and got a good user-base already?
It won't help sell them over here in Europe. Why? Because there isn't going to be a price drop over here in Europe.
Now as a PS3 owner in the UK I can understand why the PS3 didn't get a price cut over here and that's because it's only been out for a few months. However the 360 has been out for alm...
"it brings nothing ground breaking to the table that everyone else is going to steal."
Errm, the reason Haze is so innovative is because it was the first FPS with confirmed 4 player co-op. Guess what game wanted that... Halo 3.
Halo 3 now has that and guess what... people will be saying Haze copied Halo 3 with the 4 player co-op simply because Halo 3 is more well known.
I don't know about you but I have my wireless router in a different room already hooked up to a comp by ethernet so I don't want to have to move my entire router setup for a console oso Wifi is more convenient. Wifi works just fine for my PS3 anyway, no probs online with Motorstorm or Resistance.
I don't want wires everywhere and the PS3 gives you that. No wires for the controllers, no need for add-ons that provide extra wires, and wi-fi to prevent the need for even more wires....
just don't know if it's true yet (Notice the yet).
I could say exactly the same about MS and the 360 guys...
...because the same 3 games keep cropping up; Mass Effect, Halo 3 and Bioshock.
3 games don't make a great line-up, you need a variety, which the 360 just doesn't have (not even when you list every 360 title, they're all action games of some kind).
On top of that most of the 360 guys keep quoting COD4 and Assassin's Creed as 360 games because the line up lacks variation.
MS have hyped those 3 games to you 360 guys because that's all there is to tr...
The only 3 games I hear are worth buying in the next 8 months for 360 are those 3. Well at least MS have given you those choices they promised, Oh wait...
I got my PS3 for around the same price as a 360 (£280). I chose the right console too as the games that caught my interest were on the PS3. I couldn't possibly miss out on the end of MGS!
What's the point of pushing out a price drop in the region where the 360 is already doing so well?
There won't be a European price drop, and if there isn't a price drop in Japan nothing is going to change except MS may get a good month of sales out of this over in the US.
I live in the UK and a drop of £25 ($50) wouldn't make me buy a 360 in all honesty (That's the price of a year old game) with the knowledge of the risk involved in owning one, but there are...
I'm not joking, Home could sell PS3's big time. Just think about how big the MySpace and Facebook userbase is and then tell them that you can make your own 3D persona and design your own apartment and chat and hang out online in full 3D. Most of them would implode from the news.
I can't wait to get online with this. This kicks XBL in the crotch, then points and laughs as it falls to the floor in agony. Well, not quite that harsh, but you get what I mean.
I'm gonn...
Although I like the pool too.
The article says:
"Well, Microsoft just dropped the price of its Xbox 360 line by $50 dollars in the US (no word yet about Europe)."
But Microsoft actually came out and said that Europe won't be getting a price drop lol...
EDIT: I agree with that article on one point and that's that a price drop will not make the hardware issues magically disappear. MS need to think of some clever way of admitting there's a problem, getting it fixed and then...
