Unless you're a hardcore gamer and have the powers of the force, it will take more than 12 hours to complete lol
LOL ah dear that's funny. They're making it for the PS3 then you 360 guys may get a chance to play it after at least a year I'm guessing if it's going to 'officially' go multiplatform.
Every time one of these articles comes along it's always about some 'unofficial proof' that some 360 owner has produced to further extend this issue. Hideo Kojima will announce it for the 360 when they start developing MGS4 for the 360, which they haven't started yet. Namely because they haven't ...
The game has 3 different block modes on it and you have to be able to counter attack later in the game in order to kill the bigger bosses. The only time you mash a button is during the 'action-cutscenes' where it comes up on screen (I'm guessing that's what Itagaki was talking about)
Sure you could play through HS by just mashing the attack buttons and hoping, but you'll get your ass kicked later on as it gets tougher.
From the gameplay vids everywhere it looks l...
Nemesis you're absolutely right. MS could get lots of HDD's cheap, especially when buying in bulk.
Auburn, the developers will indeed be missing a quite significant chunk of the 360 market by needing a HDD for their game(s). I dunno if you're right with the 1/3 of all 360's but it's probably not far off that much.
It just goes to show Sony look ahead more than 3 years when they make a console. MS just wanted cheap components to help push out a console faster than...
I think MS went with a slower (and smaller) fan to reduce the system noise. However they should have just made the console a bit bigger.
The PS3 is flippin huge but it's well ventilated and the fan may be the reason for the size. The PS3 was designed to be well ventilated to avoid the risk of overheating, whereas the 360 was crammed together and told to take the heat like a man.
I think the 360 motto should be 'Some will survive, many will fall'
I thought the original issue was about them not being able to add in both night and day effects for all of their tracks, not about cutting things out. All they said in this article was they didn't have to cut stuff out. Yet they never said they could include all they wanted to. They just said the DVD9 format was big enough for the final game.
Maybe I'm being a total moron and reading too much into it but I just took in something different to the way you guys are stating things....
I hope they beef up the controller a bit, it just feels a bit fragile atm.
I heard they settled the dispute over the rumble thing a little while ago so this has probably been in development for at least a month or two. I've never minded not having the rumble and tbh I wouldn't complain if it was added back in. I just hope the rumble doesn't affect the lifespan of the controllers. Afterall, motion and rumble in a controller being shaken about like that could damage it over time....
I heard the game is terrible. It may look good but other than transforming the gameplay is just smash and blow stuff up over and over and over again. It's not a good game. The film is good; the game is not. I watch epilepticgaming and they gave it a 3 or 4 I think. Smashing stuff up may be fun for a bit but I'm sure it gets boring and that's where this game falls.
Because there's nothing like Lair, there's nothing for the reviewers to compare it to. That's both a good thing and a bad thing.
Good: It allows for an objective opinion of the game without the use of comparisons to form a score.
Bad: Players (including reviewers) have to get used to a new type of game. It's as simple as that. It's kind of a hybrid action game (Flying gameplay, aerial attacks, ground attacks, aerial grapples, and it's all done on a dragon.), so i...
...start this year with HS imo. Best in-game cut scenes I've ever seen if I'm perfectly honest. HS just looks simply amazing. The Lip-sync is perfect, the cut-scene animations are amazing and it's very well acted too in terms of the character movement and facial expressions. It's the first of the PS3 breed and I'll be getting it for sure.
Dunno what this 'wait 2-3 years' thing is all about. The action starts this year. You're right about the PS3 being the best in the long term,...
The Blu-Ray format is a HD format and all true next gen consoles should support HD. HDTV's are coming down in price on the road to the Christmas season and the PS3 is the HD console that'll get the most out of those 1080p sets. That's the reason I chose it over the 360 and Wii. I'm getting a HDTV, I want a Blu-Ray player to go with the HDTV, I want to play my games in HD (if possible), I want wire-free networking to prevent clutter in my front room. The PS3 is the only choice if you want thes...
Wow.
I don't have a clue what Bioshock is about but a 10/10 makes this game sound huge.
I'm a PS3 gamer (don't worry I'm not here to attack Bioshock lol) but could someone please tell me what Bioshock is actually about? I might look into a PC purchase if it's my kind of thing? If this is really a 10/10 game then surely 3rd party reviews will either prove or disprove it over the coming weeks...
It's a PC game by Petroglyph. The guys that made Empire at War. It's an RTS. I'm looking forward to it and first heard about it when it was announced about a year ago though it has been in development for longer than that.
It's not a 360 exclusive although it is gonna be like C&C3 and be available on 360. Though I'm looking forward to getting another RTS for my PC. I still prefer RTS gaming on a PC over a console even though C&C3 has done well on 360.
The...
Good luck finding that.
Sony have things planned ahead of time, it's how they work. They knew going wireless (Controllers and net) was worth it. They knew having a removable HDD would mean the console never ran out of storage. They knew next-gen games would eventually need a huge amount of storage space so they included a blu-ray drive.
Of course Microsoft weren't going to just roll over and give up as soon as the PS3 hits because they planned to get the 360 out BEFORE the PS3 was released to make su...
I heard a while ago Rockstar didn't want to side with a company, or rather they weren't going to leave a company out.
I'm sure the $50 million also mean MS will use Rockstar to say things like 'get the 360 version for the most complete experience'... Oh wait was that statement already released. lol, seriously, so petty.
They said they done a lot of motion testing in development as it was the basis of the game. They tested and tweaked then tested again and tweaked it some more so it should be fine, once you get used to it it's not a problem at all. It'll probably become second nature. I think Lair will feel and play fine. Looks great too.
MS have made you that deluded tom? You honestly believe more people should have to suffer with such an unreliable piece of kit? That's just depressing.
People shouldn't have to worry about leaving their 360 on for too long "because it might red ring". They shouldn't have to pay for a HD-DVD drive, it should be included (at least included in the box if not in the console). They shouldn't have to pay for online play. MS have all the 360 guys wrapped round their little f...
Blu-ray discs (BD) simply allow for higher quality future games because of the capacity size. As for value for money you didn't add on the fee for XBL every year or the wireless adapter, or the heavy possibility of having to send of the 360 for repairs. As for the Wii, other than WiiSports the games aren't worth the money imo.
The PS3 has upscaling, backwards compatibility, free online access for all games, no expensive 'add-ons' like the 360 (blue-ray remote and HDMI cable is ...
No innovation on PS3? What world are you living in? All I've heard from the 360 camp is Bioshock, Halo 3, Mass Effect over and over and over again. FPS and RPG, the 360 is the one missing innovation.
If you want proof of innovation just look at what Sony is backing: LBP, Lair, HS, Haze etc which are all new games (i.e innovative games), whereas MS is pushing Halo 3.
Ummm... looks like Timmy hasn't done his homework...
