Apple's great at innovation, I give them that. They've been pushing boundaries left and right since Steve Jobs came back into the scene. Will they make a next-gen console as powerful as the PS3 or 360? Maybe not. But I can guarantee what they bring to the table is going to do well regardless. And it has nothing to do with their behemoth marketing team. lol.

...and whether or not the games accompanying it in the future are justifiable.

That's all relevant with how the peripheral launches. At it's current price-point, without seeing anything extravagant for it yet, I can say that it's not really that appealing. However, if MS announces something insane at E3 which warrants the price, I could see people eating it up.

Playing both games, I think that each game has it's own element that separates it from the other. Personally, I felt that MGS4 required much more espionage than Conviction. After beating Conviction on Realistic, it just didn't seem better than the older ones, where they were *much* more interactive. Sure, it was a good game. But it just wasn't the Splinter Cell I expected.

I think IcarusOne said it best - it [Conviction] was put on a diet. Sure MGS4 had a much mor...

And they said that Gears of War would never come to the PS3... eat that skeptics. Well, not in the sense that people think, anyway.

This has been an argument that people like Jack Thompson have been trying to make. I highly doubt that video games are the initial cause of violence. If that were the case, then the same thing could be said about other mediums of entertainment like sports, movies, and even music (and I'm not just talking about hip-hop). What causes violence, in my opinion, is nature/nurture - upbringing, environments, chemical imbalance, etc. I'm not arguing that games aren't violent, because they...

But then again, although the developers might see it as a justifiable price, *some* consumers might see it that way as well. At the end of the day, each game caters to specific crowd. We might hate playing Hanna Montana: Two in the Pink One in the Stink, but there might be a crowd who loves it. And I think that some developers might even agree that their games weren't to the caliber it should have been.

However, I do agree with the article overall. Some games can't ju...

[Chews popcorn] So, in other words, after reading that "lengthy-response," all I got from you was that you're neither as witty or as intelligent as you try to be. Your "response" only confirms how bad I made you look. LOL Taking quotes and responding in single lines - that's an old tactic people who don't know what to say do. Thanks for the great laugh, dude. You have proven how ludicrously pathetic you are.

Oh, and if you're fond of being ...

@ThatCanadianguy420

LoL. Ok, my bad. A couple of hundred thousand. ;)

With regards to N4G, like I have regurgitated millions of times on this site and our very own, it's not that we don't LIKE N4G because we do. In theory, it is amazing. In practice, no. We don't say "we hate N4G." We complain about things that make the experience egregious.

"The league of extraordinary bloggers LOL!"

Thank you, sir.

@Nike

I would usually stoop myself to your level and bash you for being such a hater, because it is what, eventually, gives our story degrees. But rather than sit here and insult you until your nose bleeds, I would rather break a couple of things down for you.

Credibility? Sir, in less than a year, we have established ourselves amongst major blogs/sites/publications and get that very respect. We don't need a troll who dang...

Couldn't agree with you more. Bionic Commands - which I bought on launch day - was garbage. I wouldn't say that Devil May Cry 4 was bad, though. It had its great moments; when comparing it to other DMC games(except for 2 which sucked worse) it did fall kind of short. The story was pretty good, I thought.

Anyone who disagrees that Halo 3 is a beefed up Halo 2 is lying to themselves immensely - because that's exactly what the game is. The issue is that Bungie isn't keeping Halo relative in the sense of making the game what is once was. Instead, the take so much from other games in Reach. It's not always a bad thing to "borrow" from other games because everyone does it. But why change what made Halo so great at one point? Why try to "fit" in?

But nothing will ever come close to the original Halo: Combat Evolved on that gargantuan brick-oven of a console that was the Xbox.

The first of anything usually shows off where and what improvements need to be made. This includes consoles and games. I, however, doubt that at this year's E3, Sony is going to unveil a PSP2. I'm looking more forward to sequels and what not, personally.

At this point, the DS is trumping just about everything that is out there - especially the PSP and iPhone/iPad. But although it is ahead in numbers, I do think that Apple is catering to a much robust crowd, offering games at a much cheaper price. Some would argue that iPhone/iPad can't be compared to the DS because their library doesn't justify the quality of games that the DS has. But as Apple's mobile devices become more popular - and they are - publishers will steer their devel...

While 3D gaming is making its "introduction" this generation, I don't think that it's going to be as mainstream until next generation hardware is introduced, which will have superior hardware for developers to use rather than sacrifice current specifications in order to provide a "3D" experience.

To clear things up, we definitely don't hate N4G. As stated many times before, we love N4G because it has become an outlet for us to share our writing/podcasts and, best of all, meet fellow gamers who share similar views. The only reason we give so much feedback on N4G is because we think that there are bits of flaws that linger(ed) around which - as many would agree - was a bit unfair, and the lack of consistent moderation when it came to dealing with egregious remarks (such as racism). ...

Metacritic has definitely got some issues that need fixing/tending to. I think it's not accurate, unfair and is definitely something that skews review scores of a game.

Logos are an important aspect with individualizing yourself in this industry - especially as a pro-gamer (which they might not use much, unless it's clan-based), or an upcoming publication.
