Game came out a while back - late ass review. But, it's a great game, and, regardless, deserves the praise it's been receiving.
I really wasn't expecting anything less from this game. When I played it at PAX East I was floored. It's just great to see that 2D games can still be amazing. I haven't bought the game yet, but it is definitely on my list of purchases. Great review.
Fundamentals of playing music, I would have to agree. It's an awesome tool for teaching people the "basics" of playing an instrument. After playing Rock band, I think that I've improved a lot in terms of rhythm and such.
I just find it pretty funny that in distant worlds, make believe universes and even our own planet, the majority of protagonists tend to be "light skinned." Not that I have a problem with race or color, it's just funny that in these imaginary worlds everything is so colorless in terms of complexion. :\
I have made the same argument for the past couple of years. Americans are a bit touchy about "war" games - especially when it's a family member of theirs that have been in it. But we hardly tend to take other participants of the wars to heart. What about the Japanese in WWII? The Germans? The Afghans, like you just said? The Russian scene reversed? When it's us mowing down another country who represents being the "enemy," we're all of a sudden okay with it. But...
MMORPGs are great fun, I say. It's a great world to explore, socialize and just enjoy. I think one of the great things about MMORPGs is the lack of linearity - you're basically free to do whatever you want, at the end of the day. This adds increasing replay value.
I'd probably settle more for the Prestige Edition. It comes with a nifty perv mobile that I will definitely put to good use.
Have you honestly looked at your name? My god. If you want to compare numbers, Microsoft isn't being as triumphant as the other two consoles. Let's not forget the incredible amounts of downplay the Kinect is getting (unless, of course, you're a Microsft fanboy like yourself).
Out of the titles you mentioned, two aren't even out yet. Given, Reach will sell like Guatemalan foster kids in the US. However, titles like Conviction and Alan Wake didn't do as well...
Can't wait for this game to come out. I'm hearing pretty good things about the game - thank god it's nothing like 11. :)
The good 'ol days of playing titles like Goldeneye 007, Halo: Comabat Evolved (Before Xbox Connect), and others. Having friends over and breaking night while consuming tons of junk food was fun. It was even better seeing your friends throw temper-tantrums live. Oh, how I miss those days...
Honestly, Shank is one of the games that I'm looking forward to the most this year. After playing it, I was amazed at just how entertaining it was. Really looking for it.
Good article indeed. The ideas in here are intriguing, to say the least. And as someone who's been a fan of the fighting franchise, I think it'd be cool to see some of this thrown in with future IPs.

I'll waste my last bubble on you with no problem. If you bothered to watch the video, it's clearly indicating ways to *improve* Home. It's not a rant about how much the service fails, or why it even exists. It's criticisms on the current state of the application. Given, Home does have its perks, which is why some people are attracted to it. But, the majority of the time, the whole experience tends to become bland and repetitive when the aforemen...
So, as per your theory, because it is free, people should not give constructive criticisms on ways to improve the overall functionality of Home? Interesting.
No one is saying that the service sucks. The video is just pointing out ways that Sony can improve the experience. Jesus, you people are defensive.
And if you think that Sony offering Home to its customers is the nicest thing that anyone's done for a company, then you, my friend, have not heard of W...
The video isn't indicating that Home sucks completely; it nearly states that with some improvements, it could be far better than what it is.
Sure, Home offers things like a community theater and what not, but the things that people are *interested* in tend to be a drag. As mentioned in the video, for example, having to wait in queue to play games like Poker with your friends - or bowling/pool at that - isn't something that makes the experience any better. The load tim...
Good review. I thought last year's Madden was good - been hearing better things about this one. I might just pick this one up. :)
One of the things that appealed to me from last years - which I hope they did this year - was the training camp they had. Not that I need it, but I felt that it was a great way to get newcomers familiarized with the system and gameplay.
Is a real touchy subject for people - especially in the medium of video games. There are games that exist - some of the best I've played - that have incorporated religion successfully without any major issues. Final Fantasy X, for example as mentioned in the podcast, is a game shrouded in religion (yes there is a love thing going). When you look at the true meaning behind it, though, it's Yuna going to these temples to 'pray' to these deities for help, and then defeat the evil...
Agreed. I prefer the controller to be black as well. Silver doesn't cut it for me, personally. Black just looks... bad ass.
The title makes me hungry, actually. But the game definitely looks entertaining - gives me, for some reason, a nostalgic feeling of playing Rampage on the NES back in the day; except this is in 3D. Looking forward to seeing this title in person.
Worms has always been a fun game. I think the weapons are what makes it my highlight and how exaggerated everything is to an extent. Visually, it isn't anything to go nuts over. But over the years, it's been how entertaining the game was which make it appealing to the masses.
