You sound like a Snapple Fact.
I remember playing Marathon back in the day. Very much so the root of the Halo universe. It'd be interesting to see Bungie branch off into that series again.
SSHD was amazing. I'm pretty sure this game is going to be awesome, as well. I hope it's as good as it sounds and looks.
Al Zamora 1 - Mayhem Miller 0. Heh. Surprisingly, and thank god for the sake of Al Zamora, Miller isn't a sore loser. Otherwise, his face would have been hamburger meat.
At one point, I could clearly remember Square (before it became Square Enix) delivering nothing but quality titles that others had a hard time competing with. Titles like Parasite Eve, Xenogears, FF7-X, etc. were instant classics due to their immersible stories and strong characters.
This generation, however - not to say that Square Enix doesn't TRY - but it has become obvious that they're not as concrete as they once were when releasing RPGs. Some people will argue ...
Let's just say that she isn't Meryl Streep. It was a pretty good interview, nonetheless. I think it's cool to see people in other genres of entertainment who are fans of gaming.
Another Square Enix title that bites the dust. Ouch.
As do I. Never been a fan of the motion controls. But, of course, that could be because the technology is new to gaming and we haven't become accustomed to it. I think a vast lineup of "hardcore" games that give absolute justification to the more hardcore crowd is what's needed. We're not flocking toward that form of entertainment yet because we haven't seen anything that appeals to us yet. Hopefully, at this year's E3, that'll change.
Here's hoping that this year's E3 is full of surprises. I'm not really a fan of the motion sensor, per se. But if they announce some amazing titles, other than shovelware, I'd probably be a bit more excited. I'm praying that a new Zelda is announced, though.
8 was great, but I think X did it for me overall. Great combat, story made me tear at the end, characters that I attached to, etc. I dare say that one, with 6, were the best ones I've ever played.
This video was hilarious. I haven't played the game as of yet, but I heard a handful of the same arguments made here by a couple of friends who have played it. I'm still going to get the game sometime soon, just not sure when. >_>
Played MNR at the Move event here in NYC, and that it was an awesome game. I couldn't see myself, however, playing such a game on a handheld. Not to say that I wouldn't try it, but playing *certain* games on a handheld feels somewhat weird at times.
Nice review!
Awesome podcast guys.
It's a sure way to continue the franchise after the sad demise Solid Snake met with aging, the poor bastard. Big Boss has A LOT of history in the series. Enough history to work with in future titles which, I'm hoping, eventually make their way onto the PlayStation 3. I will miss Solid Snake, though. That mofo brought me tons of good times in my years of gaming.
I think the preview was awesome, and I can't honestly wait for Peace Walker. I honestly agree that MGS pushes the boundaries regarding graphics, story, etc. I, personally, wished that it would have gone on a console rather than a handheld; but who knows what Kojima has up his sleeve with what's coming next (Zone of the Enders? I pray to Christ, yes.).
Instead, I settled for Torchlight - a game that I am immensely addicted to.
Pretty bold statement, I must say. I will need to play the game myself in order to make any judgment or even disagree. Serious Sam was always a good game. Would love to see how 'good' this one really is. Nice review.
Currently playing the game now, and can say that the review is probably the most detailed I've read on the internet as of yet. The game is that great, and should be played by sanbox fans, and anyone who's been a fan of previous Rockstar games. It is definitely a must buy, and it will definitely be a Game of the Year contender.
Is a great series. Till this day I continue to play Civ 4 + expansions. After previewing Civ 5 at PAX, I can say that the game looks incredibly well put together. It has a great following, unique gameplay, and very addicting overall.
I hate cute things. Especially cute things that will pretend to lick me through the TV. If it is true that the animal will do what I say, I shall commence extreme abuse. And there's nothing that PETA can do about it.
