As a PS3 owner, I never expected too much from this game. Graphically, and artistically, it's phenomenal... gameplay wise... nothing there.

With enough marketing, even the crappiest games can be made to look godly. LBP has a creativity level of 100 and a fun-factor of 10. It's going to get old quick and it's going to be disappointing to a lot of people. I'm looking forward more to the online co-op play (which is going to be much more fun... for a while); but aside from that, ...

But let's take some things into consideration here, people. We all know that Cliffy B firmly grasps the Microsoft penis habitually being that a) They pay him and b) If he badmouths the 360, he'd be undermining his own game because, well, Gears is on 360. And we don't want to have 360 fanboys on THIS site cryin' and moanin' about any of that now, do we?

That aside, I'll make some opinionated statements regarding the controllers for the 360 and the PS3. Real quick: The DualShoc...

According to studies across numerous internet sites, more than 66% have surround sound; that's more than "most". The problem is not that Blu-ray isn't aimed at the average joe. The problem is that technology is advancing way too rapidly and is not allowing the consumer situate themselves with current technology. It goes the same with computers, gaming systems, tv's, etc.

But, I totally agree with you. Most people aren't taking advantage of DVD's yet to even notice...

This will always happen. As stated above, it happened with V-Deck tapes, Vinyl, Cassette Tapes, Television, radio, CD, DVD, wheel to car, sail boats to engine boats, etc. As long as the quality proves to be superior to its predecessor, the consumer will slowly flock toward it. It's been happening for thousands of years and it's not going to stop.

And DVD to Blu-ray offers the same leap as VHS to DVD. Although it's the same movie, in the end, it just sounds and looks better.

I comprehend your opinion perfectly well, actually. Your argument that BD won't last long due to DD and broadband speeds is the same argument that has been perpetuated over and over. Broadband speeds capable of streaming/downloading 1080p PCM sound will not be around until at least 2012 (Senate is passing a law that requires the US to begin doing so). This is a long ways off and allows BD room to mature and grow, nonetheless. You're too sure that BD won't last long; but as stated on my fi...

You're referring to an age when everything wasn't as digitized as they are now. During PSOne days - and VHS to DVD days - analog was still the norm. Again, you're throwing the fact that movies are expensive. lol. DVD players cost over $1000 easy when they were first released not to mention $50+ for movies. How can you consider a $25-30 dollar Blu-ray for a 3 year old technology expensive? Are you kidding me?

And yes, according to the numbers, the quality is enough for consum...

For any new technology to be adopted, it takes time. Blu-ray has been out on the market for three years... DVD has been out since 1993. Compared to DVD in its exact length of time, Blu-ray is much cheaper than DVD was in its three-year life cycle. How can people sit there and compare a 15 year old technology that has become mainstream to a 3 year technology which is booming?

With EVERY blockbuster release on Blu-ray, sales will increase. That's fact and the numbers speak for t...

That everyone should stop relying on such a broken OS and try something different. Mac OS X offers great tools for productivity and is immune to malware. Same goes for Linux. And of course you're going to have your MS fanboys jump ship and shout "But I can't play my games on those OS's, douche!"... uh, yea you can. It's called WINE.

Anyway, this is just another failed OS by Microsoft. It would be GREAT to see one Windows OS that doesn't require a hefty Service Pac...

That is what sparks perpetuating issues. People have to understand something; and that is that even though SOME people would take these kinds of offenses lightly (even the religious people), you will always have those extremists that look at this as a personal attack on their belief(s).

That is why anything religion is so touchy and has been one of the leading causes of so many wars. Because although some of us can take a little joke and brush it off, you'll always have those t...

What happened to Soul Blazer, FF6, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Terranigma, Lufia, Illusion of Gaia, Lufia II, etc. ? Seriously, this guy forgot about these? Half of the games that I have listed are better than those on his list... BUT it could just be personal preference, of course.

The daddy of gaming. I'm betting that he's probably thinking.. "Zelda with these graphics would definitely get a lot of attention..." *drools over the thought of a Zelda game with Killzone 2 graphics*

Custom control schemes seems to be an issue with games. The reason why I love PC gaming so much is because it allows a user to manually assign each button on the controller.

Hmm.. how many massive multiplayer/multiuser online projects have you been a part of again? Any persons/developer will tell you that bringing forward an online system that integrates multiple functions and millions of users at one time is a complex process. It's not because it's "SONY" that there is a delay. It's because of the magnitude of the project.

The reason for the open beta is simply to iron out the bugs that will, without a doubt, be caused by unfortunate si...

From the looks of it, it kind of gives off a World of Warcraft sort of aura (i.e. graphically). The fact that it's free is good enough for me... I just hope it's good and not bland.

Microsoft: Aside from the titles Gears of War 2 and Fable 2, Microsoft didn't give much besides the whole "Avatar" showcase and their XMB (Xbox Media Bar; regardless of what anyone says, this thing is the XMB in 3D...). Live has a nice facelift and their news regarding their partnership with Netflix was pretty impressive. Aside from that, they displayed hand-on gameplay of third-party titles also releasing on the PS3... so their _presentation_ wasn't really "great". It...
