Bought it day one, beat it day five. The game is definitely a must-have on the PS3.
Graphics are getting tighter and tighter. Usually, the best way to look at high-res textures and so forth is through HD. It's not important, but it sure as hell can enhance gameplay experience.
I agree. Also, with the idea of digital distribution comes the debate of whether or not pirating will be a big issue. Nowadays, the preferred method of owning a game/movie is disc. Simply because of the slightly less failure rate as compared to HDD's and it's much easier to, let's say, lend a friend a movie.
Digital distribution is going to happen. That's fact. The biggest holdback is, of course, the broadband speeds offered. It's a much cheaper method of distribution compa...
I agree with the author. Microsoft seems to have sucked on a little too many lemons here... Sour are we?
It's amazing how quickly the iPhone is rising as a gaming device. Can't blame it, though, so much to work with behind that thin layer of whatever the hell it's made of.
But Fry's, at least here in NYC, isn't as popular as either due to its small store numbers. I'm pretty sure Fry's will son be walking with the Big Boys of electronics retail.
I see nothing wrong with getting a bigger TV, a new receiver and some Blu-rays (which I'm pretty sure will be low on the cost).
And present you with Lincoln's twin brother...Lincoln. Also known as Mr. Penny.
It's not that I, personally, don't feel bad. Of course I do. But the fact of the matter is, there's really nothing we can do by sympathize, wish them the best, and help the company by buying their discounted products. >_>
With so many stores out now here in the US (Best Buy, Sam's Club, Wal-Mart, etc.) there's only so much you can expect. Best Buy has become a corporate monster and Circuit City just isn't competing with them. It's the sad truth. Other stores, like P.C. Richards, for example, I'll give a couple of more years. Look at what happened to The Wiz and Sears.
Another one of these stories. And this, my friends, is where journalism has gotten stupid. How many times will similar stories be approved in a span of a week? Let's see if this week beats last week's record.
There's just something I love about word games and this one was pretty awesome. I even have my mother hooked on the thing.
It was a good year for gamers. With titles from Grand Theft Auto 4 to World at War, I would have to say that this year was more about versatility in genres than anything else. Each console saw its disappointments (PS3: Haze, 360: Too Human Wii: Wii Music) but each had their strengths as well. I, personally, think that an overall experience this year was just plain 'ol good - with more coming next year.
In terms of sales, on an international scale, the PS3 is beating the 360 an...
I'm officially crapping my pants at the moment in amazement of what's to come. I believe that diapers might be on my list of "Things to do" for the Spike VGA this Sunday.
Not only because it has Abba music... but the Abba chicks are so hot (I don't care how old they are)
Gold. Absolute Gold. This is one of the funniest things I've seen to date.
Good review, Tyler. It's finally great to see good games on handhelds (phones, itouch). Apple is doing really well with a good flow of releases, I must say.
Read the article. With moderation by Sony, this "anarchy" you speak of will be non-existent. The idea of fully allowing the system to be completely open and allow people to develop for it will NOT allow for the system to be "hacked" in the means you speak of. Look at operating systems like Solaris, Linux, Unix; all open source and much more secure than any operating system out there because of the freedom given to the people to study, modify and write code.

People have different opinions. That's what this article was trying to put out. Does it matter to you, the gamer? You're obviously not capable of taking things in context (which explains your ignoramus response). Are games generally important to making a great game?
Graphics matter to different people. I, for one, could care less. Fact of the matter is, a great game with an epic story pwns a game with great graphics. Why? Because it will get more replay time. Gamers no...
