I said they are ESSENTIALLY bullshots. Yes, they come from the game - but so does FMV - and you don't post an fmv video and say its screenshot.
The FACT is that when you actually play the game, it looks nothing like this. Photo mode will look MORE like this, but it will actually only look this good on your pc when you have exported the pics to it.
In-game looks NOTHING like this. That to me is akin to posting a bullshot. If it's not 100% in-game, it&...
Well that's funny, since there are about 3 free map packs for halo 3, maybe 8 or 9 free cars - all separate dlc packs - for forza 3, multiple free costume downloads for many other games etc.
God I wish these anti-Microsoft people would just not comment on things that they know nothing about. You hate MS - we get it. We just don't give a $hit. Grow up.
The reason why there are extra achievements was explained in the article - Sony says there can only b...
Correct. They also use higher LOD models.
Essentially, they're bullshots. Not representative of in-game graphics.
from what i remember of the beta, wasnt overlook a 'Network Test 1' only map? which was just, as the title suggests, a test mode?
that test mode then turned into Firefight with 'generator defence' turned on.
i know i played a LOT of the beta and never once played team deathmatch or ANY other mode on Overlook. the only times i played it was when it was in 'Network Test 1' mode.
back on topic - the Tech behind Reach is ...
@IcarusOne: "lol @ the Forza cockpit
Nowhere in the game does the interior look this good. I hate the cockpit view. The lens they chose is too long and you don't get a good enough sense of the car around you."
guess you didnt know that you can change the position of the camera in the cockpit view then, did you?

i find it funny that you guys think that GT5 doesnt use higher detail models for replay mode/photo mode lol.
they have done this since GT1, and in every game since. what you see in these screenshots is NOT what youll see when actually playing the game, controlling the cars. youll see the lower LOD model, aliasing not present in these shots, and less post processing effects (since all these 'screenshots' are produced in replay mode, rendered at a high resolution and th...
Lol
I agree with what you're trying to say, but you're making stuff up.
Gow3 does NOT have MLAA, no PS3 game does. it uses a CUSTOM anti-aliasing solution that can give virtually the same effect as MLAA. It's NOT MLAA though, it just gives a similar result, though not quite as good.
also, how do you have a "stable" variable framerate? The word variable is the complete opposite of stable in terms of framerates lol. Gow3s ...
brakes have done that since the original gran turismo on the original playstation......
theyve also done it in Forza since Forza 1 on the original xbox.
the way some of you guys are carrying on about the rain, its like youve never played a little game called Project Gotham Racing 4.....
oh right, its not on PS3 so you havent. my bad.
skip to about the 2:50 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
or just watch these right from the start:
i dont need to. have you SEEN the videos of Killzone and Socom being played with Move? like doing anything remotely accurate and quickly with the wii, its an exercise in frustration. the reticule jumps all over the place, its less accurate, and is generally harder to aim exactly at what you want to look at.
time crisis ill give him, didnt even see that game in his list. ruse probably, although that remains to be confirmed.
but there is NO way that an FPS or T...
all of which would be better with a regular DS3.
"You need to learn the correct term of Indie games."
no i dont. im using the term to describe REAL indie games - people making them out of their basement by themselves, or with a mate. yes, there are some titles out that youd call indie games - but theyre still usually professional developers. like i said - i could go and make an XBLA game right now on my PC and get it on Live; that is the very definition of an indie game. yes the PS3 has indie games, but it is NOWH...
oh theres not doubt that if they make it for the next gen it will use a new engine, thats not what im saying.
im just saying that if Microsoft own all the Halo Reach source code then the possibilities of them getting someone else to make a new halo game for the 360 using that engine are a lot higher than if they have to start from scratch. if they have to start from scratch, i dont think theyd do it for the 360 as it takes a long time to build an engine. by the time the game ...
thats an incredibly stupid statement.
there are 7 billion people worldwide, so by comparison the PS2 selling 150 million is 'kinda poor'. the PS3 at 38 million and the 360 at 43 million are just complete failures too, if youre going to look at it that way.
it would be 'kinda poor' if it wasnt a lot higher than nearly every other game that releases in the UK. or are you going to tell us all that a game that will sell more copies worldwide in it...
how many PSPs are out there, 50 million? youre encouraged to make a PSN account with PSPs too.
PS3 fanboys seem to forget that these PSN 'active accounts' include PSP owners who dont even have a PS3. hell, they can even include people who dont own a PS3 OR a PSP, as you just make accounts online. to go on the Playstation Forums you need to create a PSN account. and what happens when people get banned for saying something slightly negative about the PS3? they just crea...
the next halo will be a launch title for the next generation of Xbox console IMO. what better way to sell millions upfront and kickstart the generation with a new next gen version of the biggest exclusive of the last generation?
what i want to know is who retains all the code/engine of Halo 3/Reach etc - if its microsoft, it would be incredibly easy for them to get another awesome developer to build another game using the Reach engine. if its Bungie, and Microsoft are left to...
@awiseman: "Uncharted 2 should be # 1 in my opinion
The game is not as scripted as GOW"
wait, whut? Uncharted 2 is one of the most heavily scripted games ive ever played. even jumping from one ledge to another is 'scripted' as its simply if youre in the right spot on the edge and press jump in that direction it will ALWAYS make the jump and it will always do it in the exact same fashion. then theres all the scripted set pieces that will always play o...
@HDgamer: "Psn has indie games, games on demand before live, and psn games."
no, the PSN doesnt have indie games. on Live ANYONE can make a 360 game on their PC and get it on Live via XNA. you cannot do this on the PS3.
no, the PSN didnt have games on demand before live. it had a single game that was also released at retail, warhawk. there are 50+ full retail games available to download off Live - how many are there on PS3? 2 maybe? and theyre both ...
why wouldnt he be impressed?
its his music, and its getting out there to make people happy, which is what Michael Jackson was all about. the wii version obviously wont be that great, since it just looks like randomly swinging a wii-mote about, but the kinect version should be a tonne of fun for dance fans, and Michael Jackson fans especially.
doing the thriller dance with MJ on screen? sounds great to me, even if i wont be dancing myself.
It was generator defense, not Spartan vs elite.
You do know you can play as the elites in firefight don't you? You can have some players as elites and some as Spartans on opposite teams.....
