ill be making me an Offspring/Bad Religion playlist to use when i play this game on the 360. thank goodness for custom soundtracks hey?
ahh the days of playing this at the arcade for like half an hour off a single credit lol.
@Lekumkee: "Why don't they capture these games in HDMI in 1080p and see the real results"
why would they capture it in 1080p when the games native resolution is 720p?
the 360 version has better texture detail, and slightly better AA, but apart from that theres not much difference.
no matter what they tell you, this delay mustve been decided weeks ago.
the game was supposed to be in our hands in like 19-20 days. if it was EVER going to make that date, it would have had to have gone 'gold' at least 2 weeks ago. they cant start manufacturing and shipping until its gone gold and has been certified by Sony. then theres the fact that most titles are shipped to stores about a week before they are set to release.
even though im not re...
lol
are you serious? this is IBM saying with 100% certainty that the Cell, as a standalone CPU, is dead. did you even read the article?
"That's the way to think about it as opposed to a separate line it'll just get integrated into the next line of things that we do"
if they were using the Cell, they wouldnt be integrating its technology into the next line of things that they do - theyd just be using the cell or further devel...
so when i said that Sony wont use the Cell in the next Playstation and all the sony fanboys disagreed, i was right?
theyll use ideas and tech from it in future processors - just like they used ideas and tech from it to make the CPU for the 360. so the Cell, as we know it, was born with the PS3 and will die with the PS3.
i cant believe they charge $99 for a standard 360 media remote and a software install lol.
im in Australia so i couldnt get this even if i wanted it, but its a good thing that AT&T users would appreciate i think. good on microsoft and AT&T.
and lol at people complaining that you have to buy hardware to use this.........is PlayTV not hardware? the little black box with the PS logo on it that i have to plug into my PS3 was hardware last time i checked. ...
"If you did this with a Mega Drive cartridge youd be slain. It's like reviewing a demo. Or reviewing less than half a game. It's fucking Daft!"
the incredibly funny thing about this statement is that Sega actually have done this before, on the megadrive, and with a Sonic game lol.
Sonic and Knuckles was actually part of Sonic 3. Sega decided that the game was taking too long to be released, so they made the Sonic Team release half of the gam...
the thing is though - and im not defending the people who brought Move and GT5 etc into this topic, i dont know why they did as they have nothing to do with this - that Move might have puzzles/adventure games/platformers/etc, but the large majority of those games that we've seen actually play better with the regular DS3.
Dance Central and Kinect games however, they just arent possible with a normal controller. how do you do full body dancing with a controller, or even wi...
if they market Kinect right with a big emphasis on Dance Central, i think it can go a long, long way.
with the popularity of all those stupid 'dancing with the stars' and 'so you think you can dance' and '**insert country name here**'s got talent', if they can make the fans of those shows aware of Kinect and Dance Central, theyll shift millions in no time at all.
while i personally wont play Dance Central, the lady friend and her...
i havent played it yet, comes out tomorrow in Australia, but im cautiously optimistic and excited.
im excited because i still hold sonic 1-3 and sonic and knuckles as probably my most beloved games of all time, but im cautious because there are some things that i see in Sonic 4 that i dont particularly like the look of.
firstly, i thought this was a full sequel, not a 're-imagining' of some levels from the other games. that disappoints me a bit. if i ...
the only people expecting it to sell more than 3 million were the idiotic PS3 fanboys who have no idea.
god of war 1 and 2 only managed about 5 million combined sales on the PS2, so why would god of war 3 suddenly sell 10 million like they thought it would? made absolutely no sense.
i was expecting GOW3s sales to reach about 4 million lifetime sales, and i think thats about where itll end up. i even said as much on here many time.
"Sony will keep the cpu and revise the gpu guranteed"
what, so you think they'll keep the SAME Cell thats in the PS3 and use it for the PS4? if so, epic lolz.
it doesnt matter how great you or sony think the Cell is, the 360s successors CPU will make it look like a Pentium 2 in terms of processing power. sony cant just take the cell and make it more powerful, they need IBM or some other company that makes CPUs to do that. unlike what people thin...
i cant see sony going with the Cell again though. it was dropped by IBM like a hot potato.
i expect Sony to go back to a basic multi-core CPU and a beefed up CPU. its better for developers, its better for costs, and it means that they wont suffer from inverior multi-platform titles because developers dont know how to program for it.
on the topic, i think the PS3 will eventually outsell the 360, but like others have said, the 360s successor will be out by then...
technically every game has controller input lag, just a matter of how much. most games its like 33-66ms, which is unnoticeable to the human eye.
as for a game that has NOTICABLE input lag, look no further than Killzone 2 or GTAIV, both of which feature around 200ms of input lag - or around how much lag the early demos of Kinect had.
hes wrong though.
many kinect games have demonstrated things that the PSEye can do. the PSEye cant do 3D tracking, and pretty much every Kinect game does 3D tracking. The PSEye cant do motion tracking at all, all it does is motion sensing. so again, kinect is doing things that the PSEye cannot.
why do you think Move has the glowing balls on top of its controllers? so PSEye can always know where it is, since it doesnt do tracking. in every frame it just looks...
lol at people saying theyve 'lost' something, despite the fact that Gears never had it in the first place.
and let me tell you something - they didnt remove the screenshot feature because they ran out of space lol. a screenshot feature would be a hundred lines of code at the very very very very very most. itd be <2kb of space on the disc.
they took it out because noone used it. i love gears, but even i barely used it.
here in australia, Uncharted 2 was down to $39.95 within 2 MONTHS of release. its recommended retail price when it came out was $119.95. thats what i call a drop in value.
theyve been giving it away with CONTROLLER purchases here for the last few months too. all within 12 months of release.
how do some people still not understand the difference between the PSEye and Kinect?
yes, the Eyetoy could recognise the hand movement in front of the lady's body - but thats only because her hand is MOVING. PSEye doesnt know where her hand is, where her shoulder is, where her head is - all it does is take the last captured frame and compare it to the current frame. it sees differences between the 2, and says 'something moved there'. thats motion SENSING, and that...
dont get me wrong, 99% of the time im the guy down there capturing the points etc. im a run and gunner at heart. but the sniping in BFBC2 is awesome for a change of pace.
GT1->GT2 = 2 years
GT2->GT3 = 2 years
GT3->GT4 = 4 years
GT4->GT5 = 5 years and counting.
so no, they havent always taken a long time to release.
if they were confident in the game, they wouldnt delay it less than 3 weeks before release. that much is certain. how can you say they are extremely confident in it after delaying it 20 days before we're supposed to be playing it? lol. makes absolutely no sense. delays arent j...
