Bungie are, by definition, a third party company now. thats correct.
but in terms of games releases, they are contractually obligated to give microsoft first choice of publishing any games they make. if microsoft decline, they can then choose another publisher, leading the door open for them to release the game on any platform they want. if Microsoft do however choose to publish the game, you will not see it on any platform thats not a Microsoft one.

no, they cant. if you paid any attention at all to the Microsoft/Bungie 'split' you would realise that the split is basically just from first party to second party. microsoft have exclusive first publishing rights to ANY game that Bungie make. this was in the official press release given when the split happened.
as Xi said, the ONLY way that a Bungie game will come out on the PS3 is if Microsoft say 'no, we dont want the game', as they do have an official first rights publishing deal.
so you have to ask the question - if microsoft literally turn down the game, would you even want it on the PS3? itd have to be pretty $hitty.

It doesn't matter what type of games they are, I'm constantly told on the official playstation forums that uncharted 2s multiplayer is the best, better than gears, better than halo, better than mw2......then there's only 5k people playing it at the same time that there are 800k on mw2 on the 360.
That's more of an eye opener than any fictitious numbers the Sony execs who make a habit of telling lies and overexaggerating can ever give.
all I know is that on a regular night I get on mw2 on live and there are over 800 00 people on that game alone. Last night while I waited in mw2 I put uncharted 2 on...... There were 5000 people playing it. That's supposedly one of the big ps3 online games, and it had 5000 people playing it. Vs 800000 on mw2 on live.
I like to mix it up namewise when I play online, and since Sony don't let you change your name I just create a new account on the computer. Takes 2 minutes. I very much do have 18 psn accounts, and like you said, no I don't use them all very often - but Sony still count them as 18 unique users.

Look, realistically, the PSN numbers mean nothing. The Live numbers are basically telling you how many 360 players there are that play online since the only way to get an account is on the 360. With a psn account you don't even need a ps3, let alone play on it online.
Honest to god, last time I counted I had 18 psn accounts. 18. Sony count me as 18 people. I only have 1 live account, so Microsoft count me as 1 person. All that matters with these numbers is how many people there ...

its nothing of the sort. what im saying is that Dead Rising 2 has NOTHING to do with Dead Rising 1 by itself. therefore Dead Rising 2 can survive on the PS3 without the Prologue (or whatever you want to call it) because its 'story' is self-contained.
the 360 however, will have 2 games called Dead Rising, but with no link between the 2. this DLC is simply giving the original games owners a link between the 2, giving them something extra. PS3 owners wont miss anyth...
you just have to look back at the 'exclusive games lists' that PS3 fanboys have been repeating for the last 4 years, and take your pick at any of the ones that had the words 'unannounced' or 'project' in them (so thats about 50% of the lists that they would present lol).
cause you know, having 'SCE London unannounced exclusive title' on their list 4 years ago proved that the PS3 had more and better exclusives lol.

If you dont have Dead Rising on the 360 you wont NEED this DLC as the sole reason of it is to transition from the first game to the second, thats why its pretty pointless releasing this on the PS3 - PS3 owners will be like 'WTF?' because they dont know what happened in the first game.

Epic said that IF gears of war 3 uses Unreal Engine 4 then it will be next gen, but if it uses Unreal Engine 3 it will be this generation. it was typical Sony fanboy misinterpretation that it wont be coming out on the 360.
Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy is available to download on Xbox Live, if you want that sort of experience. same thing, just with not as pretty graphics.
