the funny thing is, Reachs sales will 'have legs' as well. Halo 3 didnt just hit 11 million in a few months, it kept selling and selling and selling and selling. with Reach being the FAR superior game and with a bigger install base, it will keep going and going and going too.

thats an incredible score for a game like Halo from a japanese reviewer like famitsu.
remember, these are people from the country that think rape games and selling used girls underpants from vending machines are great ideas. theyre also fiercely loyal in terms of technology products and software, shunning most things that are from the US in favour of their own.

Halos multiplayer and community features are what pushes technical boundaries. have you seen the theatre mode? full 3D user controllable replays that can be saved/shared/screenshotted/ren dered to PC, all in real time. have you seen forge world? a gigantic on-the-fly editor with a base map like 5 times bigger than any level youd see in Killzone 2.

tried a wired 360 controller? no battery pack there so that would fix your problem. thats of course presuming that having a wired one is possible with your setup, of course.
i actually find that my thumbs become sore after using the DS3, due to the unnatural position that they sit out at to use both of the analogue sticks. when you clench your hands, your thumbs automatically and naturally go to the positions where the left analogue and XYAB buttons are on the 360s controller...

have you ever actually held a 360 controller? the 360 controllers 'handles' are much larger and thicker than the DS3s, hence why they are better for people with adult sized hands.

great, so in 4 years theyve reduced the 8 million lead to 3.5 million........so in another roughly 3 and a half years theyll be in front.
problem being that this generation wont last another 3.5 years. problem 2 being that Kinect could potentially cause a HUGE increase in 360 sales. that combined with the 360 Slims great sales could mean that the 360s lead increases over the next 12 months.

where metacritic fails for me is the way they just say 'ok a B rating = 90%', when its really a completely different scale to 0-100%.
and now with IGN only using .0 and .5 intervals, it means that a game that might have gotten a 9.8 from them in the past - like Halo Reach was actually initially given on IGN until someone obviously realised they arent allowed to do that any more - now only gets a 9.5. so any game that came out BEFORE they changed to the new scale is go...

every mode has its own way of scoring. for instance, if you play a round of annex, whatever overall score you get at the end of a match is divided by like 8, and that is the XP you get. then if you have a 20x XP event, that gets added on at the end. so if you got 2000 points in the game, you get 2000/8 * 20 = 5000xp.
i found wingman to be the quickest way to level up, as getting 1500 points in a match (very doable if you win) would net you about 40...

Microsoft have banned stores from selling their big first party games because they broke the release date of big titles. not just a little 2 week ban or anything - they literally do not ship them any more titles that are published by MGS.
