Hmmmmm. I don't recall ever making such a claim...
I can see the point of a lean feature on a console. There is no other way to implement a lean function. On a PC, there's no reason not to implement a simple lean function. That was really all I was saying.
So strap them triple D's down and move along now, mmkay.
I really like the look. The gameplay... some things I like. I don't like this peeking around a box and snap to cover nonsense. That's fine and all on a console, but on PC just give me a lean button and I'll take care of the rest.
Butthurt by what? I already bought the game. I don't care what the scores are, I only care if I enjoyed it or not. I'm merely calling out this reviewer for criticizing a game for being too demanding of him.
The hell is it with you people here? Everyone acts way too emotionally attached to games and console brands. It's as if they were your children or something, you're that damned touchy about them.
Based on Generation I'd say
PS3
Gamecube
Sega Saturn
SNES
NES
Does nobody see how silly arguing about this stuff is? Especially from such professionals. Well, I guess this "PhD" has to write about something.
Considering I've already beaten it, I'd put it ahead of Arkham City. The combat is much better than in previous games and the story is better than... whatever was going on with City.
Now if we could just get a Batman game set in a more closed setting like AA I'll be happy, because this open world nonsense is somewhat dull and lifeless.
Oh noes... is the game too hard for you sweety? Boo-hoo, those counters not as forgiving as the past games. This game sucks.
Blah. Someone should start a review score aggregate site called "Gamers--Who Suck at Games--Reviewing Games" so your criticisms can only be considered by others who suck at games.
How can you people think this is an upgrade? Just look at the rope texture ffs. Look at the building detail. The lighting is worse.
Flip to the next image. Notice the transparency difference in the glass architecture? How about in the holograph? The shadows on the ground are more realistic in the old build. The only upgrade I'm seeing here is a new building near the center of the screen.
The only image that doesn't look much different is the one...
The average indie game is exactly like 100 other indie games, just like the AAA stuff.
Amnesia is the tits though.
Always play on Hard. Extends the lifetime of the first playthrough. Provides a consistent challenge to the player. Overall more enjoyable experience.
Otherwise it's like playing a Quantic Dream game.
Female John Cryer. Just saying.
Really? Deadly Premonition? I thought you losers loved this game because it was plain awful, in the same way some people find enjoyment from terrible films. Top 5 Horror game my arse. Any one of those trash 3DO "horror" games would be more deserving than DP.
This game is the 2nd best of the 3 overall, but easily takes the cake with combat.
If Arkham Asylum felt this visceral and tight, it would have been near perfect.
Most of the children who started with the N64 and probably contributed to this list were never allowed to play Conker.
Goldeneye was not as good as Jet Force Gemini, and OoT was not as good as Conker, which was not as good as Majora's Mask.
Just my $0.02.
That list is horribly skewed towards console games.
Hmm, fairly interesting read even if not too informative. I've been interested in this aspect of game design for some time myself but never put much effort into exploring it. Lately, with my growing hatred of chemistry and lab work, I've considered writing a few of my own quests and taking things from there.
Alien is a half hour too long and showing its age? Jesus christ, it is exactly as long as it needs to be and is one of the most perfectly paced films ever.
Wow. What an awful imitation of a Cracked article.
I've been calling it since forever. This game is going to go the way of Splinter Cell Conviction. We were given a stunning demonstration of a game concept with unique and interesting mechanics. But the developers didn't actually know what to do with those mechanics, so the game was delayed so they could "make it better". A few years later, the game we got was barely the same game we were promised years before.
I'll go all Herzog and eat a shoe if I...
REmake Resident Evil 2, for starters.
